Hi everyone! Normally I don't do back-to-back patches, but there is a pretty big sequence breaking bug that needed to be fixed.

Bugs fixed:

  • Sequence breaking bug with the bartender after Act II
  • Autosave toggle giving free experience
  • ATH trainer in the security room being pass-through
Zombie Cure Lab - Dana

  • Fixed: Peasant bar should now display correctly after loading a save game
  • Fixed: Peasant list entries correctly sized for dead peasants
  • Fixed: Context/Pie menu hints now show up correctly on top
  • Fixed: Small bug in rangers init code
  • Balance: Reduced the amount of resources required to start repairs
  • Improved pathfinding near walls to reduce glitching through by monsters
  • Improved framerate and start animation on new "Farmstead" map
  • Swinvale map improvements
  • Slightly improved the road blocker in "Children's Tales" to make placement of gates easier
  • Re-sorted level selection list so people play not just Schramberg :-)

Cloakers.. the anticipated controller support is finally up for almost all controller types including steam deck. Please head to Library-->C&Capes-->"controller layout" below play next to "discussions" to further configure your controller preferences or to check the default action mappings.

Fixes And Balancing

  • fixed a bug where in hardcore mode heart vases dont break
  • fixed 2 achievements not working properly ("a father's rejoice" and "feels stronger now" achievements)
  • protector circle knights move speed reduced
  • many fixes to Tezkraml (7th boss) where the hands impact waves would just fall and more
  • drunk pattern firing buffed, more dps
  • Essa, lady of chaos (3rd boss) inverse bullets phase duration reduced and her health decreased

Wow! Has it really been this long? Where does the time go? We can hardly believe it ourselves, but it's definitely true. As of today, Escape Simulator has officially been out for an entire year already! And what a year it has been for all of us at Pine Studio!



To celebrate the first anniversary of Escape Simulator, we're looking back at everything that has been achieved so far, while also giving you a sneak peek of what's yet to come. Join us for another dev update and feel free tell us your favorite memory of the game so far in the comment section down below! The journey so far...

When Escape Simulator first released one year ago, the base game featured 15 rooms spread out across three different themes. So far, that number has been increased to 23 and we still have more free rooms planned! Five of these were part of the Omega Corporation update and of course we also added three extra rooms: Santa's Workshop, Cats In Time and the recently released 70's Room. Additionally, we released the Steampunk DLC back in June and we just announced a second DLC as well! More on that in a bit! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Of course, Escape Simulator also owes a lot to its incredible community! That's why we want to give a massive shoutout to all of the builders who keep surprising both us and all other puzzle fans with awesome content. So far, there are already over 3000 published rooms to check out on the Steam Workshop! We also loved to see all of the excellent entries we received during the three different builder competitions that took place so far.

Of course our room editor has also gone through a lot of changes since the initial release. A whole bunch of new features have been added, with the Room Editor 2.0 update being our biggest update to the editor so far. As you might recall, that update featured the addition of new lighting options, scripting with LUA, a model importer and many more quality of life tweaks.

Finally, we are happy to say that Escape Simulator is now playable in a grand total of twelve languages, eleven of which have been added post-launch! We have also added gamepad support, so you can play the game however you want. We were astounded to the see game reach over ONE MILLION players and we hope you'll stick with us for even more escape fun! Now, are you ready for a sneak peek on the future of the game? ๐Ÿ‘€

This update also comes with an additional outfit and a new music track to match the eerie vibes. We still have at least two more free rooms in development, so please continue to look forward to those as well!

Hello Friend! It breaks our hearts, but we have decided to delay the FFF game release to 29. November. It seems that we need one more month to find more friends and polish this bad boy. Also, we want to make sure, our grandmas will be proud and that we deliver our first game in the best way we can. Thanks to that you can expect more gameplay, a richer story, and more silly characters in the final release.

Game Dev Arcade - Bulwark Creative
A new game has just arrived for ๐ŸŽƒ Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ in Game Dev Arcade v0.2!!

In Monstrous Maze, you'll quickly learn that you're the main course for tonight's dinner hosted in the Ghoul's basement. Maneuver your way through the maze to find the portal that'll take you home, or be prepared for a very unpleasant evening.

The more times you escape the Ghoul's maze, the better you will get at evading them! You can achieve up to 15 levels by gaining experience at the end of each cleared maze. Each level will raise 1 of 3 stats:

Stamina ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ
    Stamina quickly depletes as you run, this stat will increase the maximum amount of Stamina you can have.
Stamina Regeneration ๐Ÿ’ค
    Stamina Regeneration is how much Stamina you will gain each second when not Sprinting (there's a short delay before it begins to charge). This stat gives you more Stamina back per second.
Teleport Charges ๐Ÿช„
    Teleporting let's you slip past a Ghoul that is in your way. When this stat is increased, you'll get another maximum Teleport Charge to use.
You can also unlock new Difficulties that increase the size of the maze, as well as increase the amount of Ghouls that are chasing you down. Each new difficulty requires you to clear the previous difficulty 5 times before you can attempt it. You'll get much more experience for clearing harder difficulties!

Start the Halloween week off right by spending some precious time with the Ghouls. This game was a blast to make, and I'm excited to go back and continue working on Crystal Corridors for v0.3.

Game Dev Arcade (general):
  • Added a new Play button select screen to choose which mini game you want to play.
  • Added a new Setting to all games - "Brightness Boost"
      The default brightness wasn't a concern for Mars Madness, but some players might have trouble seeing anything in Monstrous Maze.
Mars Madness:
  • Updated collision on the ground
      The ground collision wasn't registered as a smooth box, so there was a little bit of jittering as you ran around.
Monstrous Maze:

I have a quick little demo update for you:
Some of played the story and find a bug inside the story tree. Leon reacted not accordingly to your answer - but now it is fixed ๐Ÿ’–

Also the rain sounds softer in the beginning of the game and some spelling mistakes are gone.

We still have lots to do to make this a final game. So thank you for being around so early โœจ
