The most recent patch, distributed on October 14, 2022, led to some unexpected behavior preventing the launch of the game. A method has been found to resolve this issue using the software on your PC. If you have been affected by this issue, please try following the steps below.

Please locate the Resident Evil Village listing within your Steam Library.
Right-click it, and select "Properties."

You will be taken to a screen resembling the attached image.
Please select the Additional Content (DLC) tab, and uncheck the box located beside the following DLC items:
Resident Evil Village - Winters' Expansion
Resident Evil Village - Street Wolf Outfit

The game should now work as normal.

Once the Winters' Expansion has launched on October 28, please re-enable the DLC items by returning to that screen and re-checking the box for the items.

Update:
The patch distributed on October 14, 2022 included some updates to the game's security features, which may conflict with third-party software. We do not guarantee functionality of any of our products, including this game, when used with third-party software. If you have been using any such software, please try removing all related files and then running the game.
Please understand that any saved data created while using third-party software may not function properly even after all software and related files have been removed.

Dear Lords and Ladies,

We will have an update at around 3:00 AM (GMT) on Oct 20th to fix a few bugs and make several improvements. The server maintenance will last for 4 hours or more. During the maintenance, you will be unable to enter game. We suggest all royal lords use a 4 Hrs or higher level Truce in advance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will send compensation via mail after the maintenance.

Here are the contents of this update:

1. Adjustments of Rules about Transnational Relocation
- For protection of smooth experience of all Royal Lords and Ladies, all kingdoms will now in one of the following status:
New Kingdom: The Kingdoms created within 40 days.
Semi-Open Kingdom: The Kingdoms created for between 41 days to 180 days.
Fully-Open Kingdom: The Kingdoms created for over 180 days.

- After Adjustment, Rules of Transnational Relocation between Kingdoms in different status:
Royal Lords and Ladies from New Kingdom are able to move to: New Kingdom, Semi-Open Kingdom, Fully-Open Kingdom
Royal Lords and Ladies from Semi-Open Kingdom are able to move to: Semi-Open Kingdom, Fully-Open Kingdom
Royal Lords and Ladies from Fully-Open Kingdom are able to move to: Fully-Open Kingdom

2. Adjustments of Rules of Cross-Server Events
- Event Alliance Conquest and Siege of Winterfell unlocks in 180 day after creation of Kingdom instead of 60 days.
- Added new Training Camp Events for Alliance Conquest and Siege of Winterfell Event, which will be available between 41 days to 180 days after creation of Kingdom. Every Friday will be for Registration Day and Every Saturday will be Battle Day. Main features and Rules of the Event stays the same as Alliance Conquest and Siege of Winterfell.
- Training Camp Events of Alliance Conquest and Siege of Winterfell will start alternately and result will be calculated after each match. When Current Alliance is Located in Server Created for over 180 days, the Training Camp Event will be unavailable.

3. Improvements
- Improved display of information about Glory Level of buildings in city.
- Added icon display for Victory Plaza in World Map.
- Improved experience in Album system, added photo exchange screen for Royal Lords and Ladies’ Convenience. Duration of exchange request was increased to 8 hours, request will be closed when the timer ends.
- Improved Interface Display of Bannerman hall.
- Improved Interface Display of Lord’s information screen.
- Improved some other game experience and GUI.

4.Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue that the options resets back to 1 hour after end of Dragon’s Exploration.
- Fixed Text Error after blitz of Expedition Beyond in City Affairs.
- Changed Color of buttons of Dragon’s Exploration in City Affairs, same as other buttons.
- Fixed some other minor bugs.
