Server Maintenance: The server will have maintenance at 2022/10/14 10:00 UTC. All players will be disconnected during the maintenance. To prevent loss of results, please exit the game early.
It was not possible to unlock 70 skill-points because the level-up to level 71 was not working. Also, players will no longer gain experience after reaching level 71.
With upcoming updates coming soon, the show house option is one of the key features we're adding to make life better for builders. Builders can select pre-set models from the construction toolkit.
We'd like to solicit more house designs from builders in order to enrich our selection of Show House for all Sandrock players. If you are happy with your house design, click on this
and follow the instructions there to submit your design and related information and become a co-designer for all Sandrock builders.
What we are looking for:
Small House: Less than 2 floors, max landscape 15*15 Medium House: smaller than 3 floors, max landscape 30*30, 4 rooms could be arranged side-by-side Big House: no floor limitations, max landscape 50*50 (inside decoration is NOT necessary)
When a design is selected and added to the game (Perhaps these designs will be implemented in the upcoming updates, so soon), your name will also be added to the game so all Sandrockers will know about your contribution. (P.S. We may need to adjust the design a bit to fit something.)
Note: If you used MODs to build your house, we can't make it a model option, as it will be difficult to use for some other players if they don't have MODs or the same MODs as you.
The solicitation ends Oct. 20th, 12 am GMT+8 | 6 pm CET | 12 pm ET | 9 am PT
Come on, be a show house designer!
If you like Sandrock, please leave a review on Steam. The greatest motivation for our team is your support.

I am very happy to announce that the game is now officially out of Early Access and version 1.0 is out!
After 3,5 years in development, and 2,5 years in Early Access, it feels so surreal writing this. This game became a huge part of my life. As long as I remember, I wanted to make a roleplaying game like this. I remember walking with my friend back in 2019, and telling him that I want to actually make a game like this, and him telling me that I've lost my mind. Everyone around me was telling me that it's improssible to make huge open world RPG as a solo developer.
In a way, they were right. Even though I am at this point now, I wasn't completely alone. I still required a help from people for certain tasks, and, of course I couldn't make this without you, my community. I want to thank everyone who supported me through the years of development with their valuable feedback, suggestions and bug reports. The amount of support I received from people around the globe is incredible, and I am really lucky.
What is the state of the game in 1.0?
The game is not perfect. There are still small bugs and issues that can be encountered, which I will still work on fixing. There is always more polishing that can be done. But what 1.0 really means, is that all the content I was originally planning to implement from the start is in the game now, it is working as intended and can be completed. In fact, right now there are actually more stuff in here, that I originally planned, for example I wasn't planning on implementing mod support, but I decided otherwise during the development.
Of course, people will always want more. More features, more content, more cool stuff. It's understandable. While the concept of the game is insanely ambitious for one person, it's still limited by what I can realistically do. Some of the stuff that people want, like realistic NPC simulation in cities is so complex, that even huge companies like Bethesda couldn't do it properly. So it's impossible for me, especially on the first try, maybe I could give it a crack on the next projects. Right now I wanted to focus on the things that are already in the game as best as I can.
What's next for the game?
During launch period, I will support the game and release small fixes and patches, if needed. After that I plan to take a small break for a couple of weeks, and then I will start working on a number of updates, I planned to add post-release.
There will be one or two smaller patches with more endgame content, but the big one will be a patch with Northern Kingdoms, which I announced some time ago. This will be a huge update with a new gigantic zone, a ton of new content and mechanics, so it will take some time to do it right. If all goes well, there also will be more similar huge updates all through 2023.
What's after that? We'll see, maybe I will start teasing my new project, which I started to think about recently.

Oh jolly! Another patch with a cool looking number: 1.2.3 :D
This week’s patch fixes a number of bugs that were reported over the last couple of days, but more importantly it introduces a new automated quality check: world constraints. These constraints are checked after a new world is generated or when you load a save game after the game was updated. In many cases when constraints are not satisfied the game can repair the world automatically. Although there might still be cases where a fix fails or is not yet implemented. When that happens you will see a notification with a request to send us the save game for that world so that we can include fixes for these cases in future patches.
New Features - Expanded options for modding: you can now add and replace texts, alter conversations, and even dabble with creature and level templates. - A new world constraint system makes the world generation much more robust. At the start of a new world, but also when a save is loaded in a new version, constraints are checked and when possible issues are fixed.
Bug Fixes - Further improvements for the dialog portraits. - Fixes a stall when the Empire tries to advance to blocked, mountainous map nodes. - Rumors for the ‘arbiter grounds’ are displayed correctly. - World events that only have one button can be correctly controlled with a gamepad. - Mercy themed cave entrances are placed and oriented correctly. - Fixes issue with map connections that only appear in one direction. - Marang books, tomes, scrolls, and maps have the correct trade values. - Traders store their inventory correctly after a trade is made.
