Transform yourself into Albert with Animaze's new avatar! This new avatar is the newest addition to the extensive list of Holotech original avatars and is now available for all Animaze subscribers.
It’s a kooky world out there, but luckily enough we have Albert to try and sort it out for us all with his scientific papers and experiments.
Up above in the mysterious laboratories of Animaze, is where Bertie runs his studies and research. When he’s not explaining why the sky is blue, or other nuclear studies, we can find him sailing away and most probably inventing some smart theory on physics.
The Animaze bunch loves him tons, so for his birthday, they all got him socks, as a prank. In return, Albert shrunk them all for a day. You should’ve seen them all running around tiny as ants.
More details about Animaze’s ongoing development and art efforts will be revealed soon with an updated roadmap.
As always, we love hearing what you think about the new content and Animaze! Tell us what you’d like to see added to Animaze on our Discord server, email us at support[@]animaze[.]us, or message us on Twitter!
Thank you again to all who participated. The open beta will be ending this friday in anticipation of the final release patch. Thank you especially to those who submitted feedback, if you provided a nickname or email through the form it will appear in the game credits!
Do these words sound familiar to you, or have you perhaps used them yourself? In our upcoming update, we are looking to remedy this with the introduction of Tutorials and Career Orders.
Soldiers!
Learning the basics!
Not everyone has the same amount of experience when it comes to shooter games. Some people have been playing shooters all their lives, while others are brand new to the genre. Not just that, Heroes & Generals is more than just firing your gun, there are many unique elements not found in other games.
We have our Fandom-page, our discord and other external sources where you can find information or ask others for help. They have a lot of information, but finding the right information takes some effort. We believe that having Tutorials and Career Orders available ingame will lower the point of entry for many, which is our goal with these features.
Tutorials versus Career Orders
The simplest way to explain the difference between Tutorials and Career orders, is that you read tutorials and you do career orders.
We currently have 28 Tutorials and 46 Career Orders ready to be completed, with the possibility of adding more in the future.
Career Orders
As some of you may remember, a while ago we removed the career options from the UI to make place for ‘something new’. Now, we can finally introduce what we have been working on!
The Career Orders are a set of simple objectives to complete. Equip a weapon, recruit another soldier, buy a vehicle and many others. Upon completion, every order gives a small reward (mostly credits and sometimes a booster).
In the image above, you may notice that one of the Orders has an icon that looks like a drill sergeants head, in the lower-right corner. When pressing this button, a short tutorial will open. More on that in the next chapter!
Tutorials
Tutorials come in two shapes. Some tutorials are triggered by certain actions of the player. The example below shows a tutorial which is triggered the first time you have 2 or more characters available in your roster and shows you how to swap between soldiers
Other tutorials can be started manually, by pressing the drill sergeant on Career Orders. In this example you get a short tutorial on how to equip a weapon. Some tutorials contain only 1 page, others contain several pages.
If you have already completed all tutorials, but want to refresh your memory, you can find all tutorials through our options menu! Simply press the cogwheel in the upper right corner of the Client. Go to Help and click on ‘Browse Tutorial’. Here you can find all our tutorials!
This and more will be available to you in our upcoming Mid-Season Update!
