RECRUITMENT REVAMP
To better understand the evolution of the recruitment process, we have had extensive conversations with leading Directors of Football, Data Analysts, Scouts and Managers over the last few years. All of those discussions have helped guide our changes to recruitment for FM 2023, and they fall into four categories: Squad Planner and Experience Matrix, Scouting, Agents and Recruitment Meetings.
One of the main focuses of our Match team was to overhaul the logic powering our AI managers, making them more intelligent than ever before. There have also been a significant number of updates to our Player Decision and Match Engine AI across the pitch, while improvements to our animation engine and changes to Team Instructions ensure FM23 is as close to real life as possible.
This is more than just a standard licence. For the first time in Football Manager history, we are able to include fully licensed UEFA Club Competitions, making those Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights feel even more special. When approaching all of the upgrades, enhancements and functionality related to UEFA’s licensed assets, our team aimed to recreate the UEFA look and feel, and the excitement generated by those big competitions.
We wanted to amplify the importance of fans in the game. By introducing Supporter Profiles, we are able to provide a snapshot of your club’s fanbase. Elsewhere, the newly-included Supporter Confidence will sit alongside your Board Confidence, and will reflect the current mood among the fans. This will help to keep tabs on the supporters’ opinion of you, and whether you’re the right person for the job.
Whether you’ve taken a team from the lower leagues to cup glory over many seasons, or you’ve just fought off relegation in your first campaign, we know just how important your Football Manager save is. For FM23, we’ve continued that theme by introducing the Dynamic Manager Timeline – a new way of showcasing and tracking the achievements and milestones of your career.

In the very beginning, we were young and clueless and thought The Wreck would be released around spring 2022. Alas, we were too optimistic, of couse, and finishing the game as well as we wanted took more time, forcing us to push the release to Fall 2022. Now, we're ready to go! But in the meantime... one small (and VERY COOL) extra thing has been added to our todo list. What is it? We can't tell just yet. Soon! The consequence is that we have to move The Wreck's release date - once again. But this time, we can guarantee the game will be out by early 2023. Thanks a lot for your patience, we can't wait for you to play it!
Bug fix: 1. Fixed the bug that the bedroom sometimes has abnormal data on specific layers 2. Fixed the bug that caused the game crash due to the error of the game archive data of individual players
This is a free experience that covers the first 7 days of Card Survival, letting you play with the Hunter character or a pre-made custom one.
This won't change much for the people that already have the game but should give everyone else a chance to try Card Survival without having to buy it first.

GDWC:
On another note, it's a new month and we figured it might be a good idea to remind you all about the Game Development World Championship that Card Survival is participating in. If you a have a moment and wan't to visit our Game's page and leave it a like that could really help us. :) No need to create an account or anything, just a couple of clicks!
Steam Next Fest is here, which means the Mato Anomalies Demo is now live and available for all!
This is the same demo you have been able to play at events for a few months now and we are extremely excited to be able to share it with such a large audience.
The demo is based on the alpha build of chapter 0, the start of the game. You will be able to get a first introduction to the story, as Detective Doe, Exorcist Gram, and his Android SkyEye (more companions to come in the full version!) investigate the threat of the Bane Tide and the mystery of HANDOUT.
You can also catch a first glimpse at our turn-based combat system and an exciting card game!
The release is planned for 2023, and we plan on using this time to continue to work on and polish Mato Anomalies for a great player experience. So once you are done exploring Mato, don't hesitate to dip into the forum and let us know your thoughts or ask questions - we love to chat <3
Hopefully you will be even more impressed with the final result 😊
To support our cause and help us to defend Mato against the threat of the Bane Tide, wishlist Mato Anomalies on Steam!
Hello everyone! Welcome to this month’s devlog! If you just stumbled upon this, I am Adrienne, also known as insertdisc5! I’m the developer, writer, artist, main programmer, etc of the game. The game being In Stars and Time, which is the next and final game in the START AGAIN series, following START AGAIN: a prologue (available here!). You can find out more about In Stars and Time here!!! LET’S GET TO IT
In case you didn’t know, this month we announced that In Stars and Time will be coming to Nintendo Switch, as well as showed off a brand new trailer!!! Did you see it? Did you see it. It’s such a good trailer. Watch it again.
And in case you didn’t know (second edition), In Stars and Time had a booth at the Tokyo Game Show! And I got to be there, along with Gabrielle, the Release Manager from Armor Games Studio! AND I GOT TO SEE PEOPLE PLAY THE DEMO RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY VERY EYES!!!! It was such a surreal experience, and so validating too… Feedback has been very positive and I couldn’t be happier! (I also got a lot of compliments on the battle system, which has surprised me??? I’m glad people like the battle system…)
I’d never been to a video game convention before, or to Japan, so I had a lot of new experiences thrown at me very fast! Japan is such a beautiful country (so clean!!!), and I had a wonderful time exploring and looking at the other TGS booths and talking to people… Gabby was here to use her Japanese language mastery to show off the demo, but thankfully I also learned the key words to survive and be able to explain my game in Japanese: “time loop RPG” to explain the concept, and “Jankenpon” (Rock-Paper-Scissors) to describe the battle system! Sometimes that’s all you need!!!
Thank you to everyone that played the demo, and passed by the booth!!! The demo will be available for the whole month of October still, so you should play it while it’s still up!
As for development, it is going well! The game having reached alpha last month means it’s time for intense rounds of QA to catch all those nasty little bugs. And localization into Japanese is underway! And!!! Studio Thumpy Puppy finished the soundtrack, and oh my god!!! I cannot wait for everyone to play the game and hear all those amazing tracks!!! So exciting!!!
That’s all I have to say for today! Let me know if you have any questions, or if there’s any aspect of the game development struggle you’d like me to talk about! See you next time!!!
AND DON’T FORGET TO WISHLIST THE GAME ON STEAM ALSO IT REALLY HELPS BECAUSE STEAM’S ALGORITHM IS MORE LIKELY TO SHOW OFF GAMES WITH A HIGH AMOUNT OF WISHLISTS THAT’S THE REASON WHY GAME DEVS ALWAYS ASK TO WISHLIST!!! OKAY BYE!!!!
