Hey, folks! Earlier this summer we managed to bring a demo of Cassette Beasts to multiple worldwide events. The reception to it (both from press and the public!) was so positive that we've been working towards bringing that demo to a wider audience. We're super excited to finally be able to bring it to Steam Next Fest, so you too can play it!

So, what do we have in store?






You too can now play a limited-time demo of Cassette Beasts! You can find it on our Steam store page, and it will be available from October 3rd - 10th.

Our demo lets you play through the opening of the game. You'll get to explore Harbourtown, meet some new friends and learn the ropes when it comes to transforming and battling.

Your progress will be saved, so you'll be able to continue any save files you create in the demo in the full game when it releases in 2023!

What's more, we've been able to bring you the demo in the following languages:

Hello! Elly’s new scene is finished, including the art side. You can check out the preview here. Naka’s new cute dress should be ready around Thursday.

As for the main content, I’m putting the finishing touches on Elly’s quest, which is linked to the new H event. She will ask you to find a lost expedition that tried to get an ancient alchemy book from ruins in the volcanic zone.

I expect v0.99.3 to roll out in the usual release window, October 14th-16th. If anything changes, I will make a separate info post. Though, at the moment I can’t see any reason for a delay.

Fixed a bug that prevented some H scenes from playing correctly even if the player chose the girl as their favorite. No lasting consequences. All H scenes are still available in the freeplay mode.

Adjusted some of the quest journal text to fit properly in text fields.
