Greetings, Adventurers.

First off, thank you to all our Adventurers who enjoy playing Black Desert through the Steam platform. We want to announce that the separately managed, Black Desert and Black Desert Online, Steam titles will be unified into a singular Black Desert title during the maintenance on June 23 (Wed).


Once this happens, Adventurers in North America, Europe, Russia, Turkey & MENA, Thailand, and the Southeast Asia regions will be able to play Black Desert under one Steam Store page, and freely discuss and share their thoughts in one community.

Please note that the unification of Steam App ID does not mean that the game servers are being unified; you will still be playing on your existing region’s server after this change.

Furthermore, we ask that you carefully read the following information.

1. There will be two titles displayed in your Library.

After the maintenance, you will now see two titles, Black Desert and Black Desert (Retired).


2. If you want to play the game, you must select the Black Desert title.

Once you select Black Desert, you’ll be able to access the designated server according to your Steam account’s country/region.

3. If you select Black Desert (Retired), you will not be able to access the game.


While you will download the Black Desert client if you select Black Desert (Retired), you will not be able to launch the game even if the download is completed.


4. After a certain period of time, only the Black Desert title will remain.

Once this happens, all you have to do is select the Black Desert title to play the game. Please always make sure to select the Black Desert title to play the game.

This update is coming out today to solve a few minor issues. Check out the change log below!

*Please note that these changes are not in any particular order.*


Bug Fixes:

• Fixed an issue when jumping the barrier in the "Shady Dealings" side quest where the player's Y-coordinate position would get messed up so the character was lower on a given tile than intended (Old saves affected by this SHOULD < keyword should right there > automatically fix themselves)

Changes & Additions:

• Update News and More Corrosive Studios options on the title screen no longer close the game, they just set the game to windowed mode (You can toggle with F5) and then bring up Steam in the background
  
• Jump animation for characters has been changed to more of a vault or step-over animation because it looked a little too "cartoony" the way it was

We've recently deployed new version 2022.09.47.2 fixing the resolution issue for QHD / 4K displays.
Thank you for your patience while we isolated and resolved the bug.

Please Note: We are investigating the issue regarding MonoMod library on 1.4-Preview that is preventing some users from running that version of tModLoader.
In the interim, please use the Stable version (the default in Steam).

Unfortunately the company is shutting down so Burg Battle will leave steam, and the servers that facilitate online play will be shut down.

Omnituens will be doing a blind playthrough of Hexahedra, giving his impressions of the game as he sees it for the first time. Developer Sidequest Ninja will be on hand in voice chat to answer any questions you might have about the game.
