Changes:
- Added skill books that can be purchased from merchants, in preparation for the upcoming education system.
- Added Mbdot's Notes that sells for a good amount of coin and has a 1% chance of being dropped by a knight boss.
- Crossbows no longer fire arrows and function like matchlocks with the same range.

Fixes:
- Player still at war after relogging.
- Character's inventory not being cleared after being wounded.
- Gathering a resource played the cash sound.
- Valor resetting after killing mobs.

Greetings Troopers, recently we announced the Starship Troopers Year One Roadmap, we made a video to show you what's coming in the future of Starship Troopers: Terran Command. Enjoy.



Free Updates

Initial free updates will focus on balance and interface improvements. Following that, an update will contain a new free scenario and a new Federation unit.

The following update will bring Achievements and new Challenge missions. This new type of missions will come with a freshly implemented High Score system.

A Scenario editor will also be released, allowing players to craft their own maps and scenarios.

Finally, a new top secret game mode to enhance replayability is being worked on and will be released in 2023.


Premium Content

We are planning to release two paid-for DLCs within the first year of release: the first is a mini-Campaign based on challenge missions.

A more extensive DLC will follow, with an entire Campaign set in a new environment and featuring additional units.

New Beta Patch

Speaking of new content, we're about to open a new beta! The Federation once again calls its citizens to their patriotic duty and to help us test some new features.

What does it add?

- A new unit type, a squad of troopers making use of chemical weapons;

- A new scenario, called "Chemical Reaction". Arachnid test subjects have broken out of an experimental lab, and it's up to the player to clear them out;

- The option for units to prioritize certain types of enemies automatically, a highly requested feature (and very useful for snipers);

... and a lot more.

The work on the upcoming 1.4 Update and The Adventures of Sargon DLC is going well. As the last few updates were very mechanical and text-heavy, today we would like to show you a more lightweight post.

So, let me present to you the chariots barracks. Chariots are probably the most powerful unit in the game because they can serve effectively in both close and range combat. Moreover, in close combat, they have an additional flanking bonus. On the other hand, they require the most supply of all units.

The Wreck - ThePixelHunt
With The Wreck's release around the corner, we figured you might want to know more about the game. So here are 10 random facts!

#1: In 2017 Florent (our game designer) & his daughter had a car accident. The car was totaled but luckily everyone got out OK. This traumatic event was the initial source of inspiration for The Wreck.



#2: During (pre)production, our art director iterated a lot on how our main character, Junon, should look like. Here are 4 versions of her evolution over time. Which one's your fave?



#3: The Wreck's EULA on Steam is very important. We want everyone to read it. And don't even consider playing the game without agreeing with it first!

#4: We used Inkle Studios' Ink to write the script for The Wreck, and we spiced things up with emojis. They allow us to ▶️ pilot Unity's timeline, ⌚ set delays, change 🎥 cameras or 🤸 character pauses... and more!



#5: Wondering how much work it took for us to craft The Wreck? The answer is: A LOT OF WORK. Here's a clip of all the commits we did on the project's git. 1 line = 1 task. And that's not counting pre-production!



#6: We want The Wreck to look as nifty as possible, so we asked Tara Beaufils to animate The Pixel Hunt's logo (which was designed by Perceval Barrier, who also made the logo for the game !)



#7: The car Junon drives in the game is inspired by the glorious Volkswagen Golf Mk2. Initially, this detail was important story wise, but the reason why got lost along the way. Still, it looks pretty cool!



#8: The Wreck is not "just" a game. It's also - potentially - going to be a novel. If you're as excited by this idea as we are, you can express your interest here.



#9: To produce The Wreck, we first came up with a very rough version of the sequences we were going to use - pretty much akin to an animated storyboard. But things moved a lot between that and the actual game!



#10: We're a tiny team with limited resources, but we really tried our best to include as many accessibility features as we could in The Wreck. Check out the Family Gaming Database for more info!
Eden's Last Sunrise - Space Lizard
At long last, the demo for Eden's Last Sunrise is now available for download! This is a small sample of the game unconnected from the main story that shows some of the main cast, several playable classes, and a chance to try out the custom character creator.



Thank you for following my li'l project, and I hope you have fun. Feel free to post questions, bugs, or show off your custom characters. I'd love to see them!

Some tips to get you started:
  • You can click on a unit's portrait (either yourself or the current target) to get a breakdown on all their stats.
  • Similarly, on the full stats screen, you can click on the [?] next to abilities and effects to get a list on what they all do.
  • Unique skills use Tension, which is the glowing green bar with the % marker. Units gain Tension for doing things in battle, for taking damage, and for dodging attacks.
  • The little shield icons designate cover in that direction. Being in cover grants protection from many attacks, particularly ranged ones.
  • If you don't use all your AP in a turn, the leftover AP makes that unit's next turn come up sooner.
  • Tile effects like Miasma and Havoc will deal damage and a status effect to a unit who ends their turn on top of them.
  • Use Lure skills (basically taunts; skills with pink names) to draw enemy attention! However, the effectiveness of the taunt diminishes every time the taunting unit is attacked, so refresh it as needed.
  • I'm sure I'll think of some more later! But, feel free to experiment.

Slaycation Paradise - Affordable Acquisition

In addition to a number of performance improvements, balance tweaks, and bug fixes, we're adding full keyboard and controller key-binding support!

  • New Updated Insect Type: Guardian
    • Guardian only appears in special district
    • When approaching the Guardian, sign will be shown on HUD
    • Guardian has lower HP than Insect Lord, but its attacking damage is absolutely higher
    • Killing the Guardian can obtain a huge amount of resources

    • The Guardian only exists in Oasis
    • The size of Guardian can be as large as Insect Lord
