Great news, vagri: after testing our new content as much as possible, we can now put down a release date for what will be our second free DLC – Seekers of Knowledge. That’s right; mark your calendars, because Seekers of Knowledge will be dropping on the 22nd of September.
With this DLC we are aiming to enrich the already vast playable realm and to further add to the victory paths already available to players. The DLC itself unlocks a variety of extensive questlines and introduces the Sunken Tower; a massive new dungeon and the focal point of the release’s new, unique stories.
Once known as the Tower of Akarius, the Sunken Tower was home to a host of esteemed Elves, Humans, and Dwarves – all of whom worked tirelessly toward the unified pursuit of knowledge. Millennia have passed since that time, however, and thanks to the Calamity, the Tower now wrestles with a different fate. A fate where its once proud denizens languish in the recesses of its hallowed halls, seeking respite, unable to escape the terrible power that has beset the place.
Along with the Sunken Tower, this DLC introduces a variety of new enemies, NPCs, quests, and the new Knowledge Ambition questline, which tasks the player with amassing and uncovering all kinds of knowledge to achieve victory. The quest itself encompasses one of the largest stories yet to be told in the Riven Realms – a story that will inevitably see vagri descend into the darkest depths of forbidden knowledge and madness-inducing truths that are best left forgotten.

We'd like to thank again everybody involved in the creation process, it's been an amazing time from game-jam to official Steam release. We'll definitely plan on kicking bugs out of the way, so if you find one please report it on the steam forum or on github. As our beta-testing team was so efficient that there's probably not much there.
It's a big achievement for us, releasing our debut game on Steam. We keep working on further projects, join our discord to get in touch and be in the loop.
Recently, we introduced a new experimental feature for ETS2 and ATS - custom city introductions. Thanks to the positive feedback that we have seen from the community, we are glad to let you know that we will further expand this feature in the upcoming 1.46 update!
These special cutscenes appear when a player selects a starting city when creating a new profile and, as you may know, they are currently available only for cities in Austria and the city of Hanover in Euro Truck Simulator 2. In the 1.46 update, however, we will add this feature to the Iberia DLC as well!
And not only that, this feature is also evolving across the ocean in the ATS world. Therefore, once the update lands in the game, in addition to Montana, new players will also have the opportunity to watch one of these awesome cutscenes when selecting their first city that has a garage in the Colorado and Wyoming map expansions.
Also, just a heads up, the screenshots used in this blog serve only as illustrative examples. If you’d like to see more, check out the posts about this topic on our social media - Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. But you can always wait until the 1.46 update is released to try the new custom city intros on your own!

We are very happy to inform you about the release date of the demo version of The Dawn is Inevitable: it is scheduled for October 3, which matches the start of the «Steam Next Fest«. Starting that day, you'll be able to try out the prologue and a small fragment of the first chapter of the game.
Unfortunately, we don't know yet if there will be an English localization when the demo is released.
Thank you for your attention and we'll see you soon!

The 100 Years War challenge ended just last week, and it’s already time for the next one. With this challenge we are moving away from the historical inspiration of the previous challenge, to instead face you off against some hopefully truly challenging opposition.
Don’t worry though if you preferred the history-themed bend and handcrafted map of the 100 Years War scenario: Though submissions to the leaderboard are closed, the 100 Years War scenario will remain accessible through the Play section of the main menu while we work on an improved scenario interface. In the meantime, new scenarios will not be integrated in the menu, and will instead be shared as a save, as we did with the first scenario. You’ll find the save as well as instructions on how to use it below and in the contests section.
The Against the Odds Scenario Challenge
Everybody loves a good underdog story, right? We hope you do, as you will be playing that role in this scenario. As in any game of Humankind, you find yourself as the head of a small neolithic tribe, but your neighbors have already advanced into the Ancient era, and rumors abound of even more advanced peoples across the sea. Can you catch up to them in fame and power and bring the world under your rule?
Place the save in "/Documents/Humankind/Save Files"
Load the save labeled "Against the Odds Scenario" in game
(Optional) If you want to submit a score to the leaderboard, check this post in the contest section
Scenario Conditions
Victory Condition: Most Fame at game end
End Condition: Last Human Standing (Eliminate or Vassalize all other Empires)
Game Conditions: Humankind difficulty, Normal game speed
Game version: V1.0.15.2767-S10, no mods
Leaderboard Submission Deadline: October 18th
Leaderboard Ranking: Fastest Victory, tiebreaker by Fame
Please note: While leaderboard entries will be ranked by how quickly they achieve victory (faster is better), they need to be independent at the end of the game and leading in Fame to be eligible for the leaderboard. For details on how to submit your scores, see the related thread.
