Alpha #3 concludes the prologue testing of Lunar Soil. This alpha gave us a lot of bug fixes, area tweaks, and puzzle clarifications. We fixed critical bugs that prevented players from progressing, narrative clarifications, and foliage!
The narrative has been clarified a bit, with the addition of a new level "B-12 Outskirt". The void level where you meet the mysterious doppelganger now takes you to the outskirts before returning to the Star and the evacuation.
We added a tutorial level explaining the basic controls like running, pushing buttons, and picking up and dropping items.
During Steam Next Fest in October, we will open up a playable demo and shift the focus of the playtest to future-level testing. If you like bug-hunting in unreleased content or help shape the game please join our playtest. If you just want to check out the game, wait for the demo. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Note from Dev :
Apologies on the delay for this community update. I had a lot of personal stuff come up that I dont have go into. I will be removing the next update by date for Entodrive. I'm learning a lot about balance and being kind to myself this year after releasing 3 games on my own. Most of my attention going forward will be towards future projects like Spryward, but dont be surprised if you see some Entodrive updates sprinkled out through Spryward's early access. I do have a fun Entodrive related project in the works. Be sure to follow the other games in the Apastron universe for a continuation of the story and hints for the future of Entodrive. My family is getting a Steam Deck this week, so I'll be able to work on specific Entodrive improvements/optimizations for it. Thanks for reading/playing! I hope to update you with some more Entodrive news soon.
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow - Cloak and Dagger Games
After 3 years of hard work, we are delighted to announce that The Excavation of Hob's Barrow will be coming to Steam on September 28th! It's been such a journey for us, thank you for your support along the way - we couldn't have done it without you!
Massive thanks too to Wadjet Eye Games for helping us make the game even better than we could have ever imagined!
We can't wait for you to finally be able to experience it!
In preparation of the early access release later this year, I made a few changes to the demo:
Edited script: Much of the dialogue has been changed or entirely rewritten to add more depth to the plot and characters.
Updated graphics: All characters except for Saeva have new faces, and there's a new UI, title screen, and logo.
Parallax effect: The mouse cursor moves the camera around, making characters pop out from the background.
So many settings: The game can be customized just how you want it.
And more!
However, there has also been a "downgrade", in a sense:
The demo is significantly shorter now (~30 minutes)
This was done to make the demo easier to maintain. The longer the demo is, the more likely it is that I'll go back and change something - but now, I'm pretty certain what you see in the demo is how it'll be in the final game.
Since the early access launch is still a few months away, I've worked out a compromise for those who are curious about the new screenshots: Insider supporters on Ko-fi or BMAC can play a Beta Version containing the first 3 hours of the game, and tons of new content!
I'll keep working hard to make the early access release happen.
Thank you for your continued support and patience!
