I've been trying all day to upload this update. I eventually had to do the upload in a different browser. No idea why that made it work. Anyways, Spiral Clicker 0.44 is here!
This version of the game comes with some more optimizations, *maybe* these will finally solve the black boxes problem for more people. Not confident on it being fully eliminated at this point but a pleasant surprise would never hurt. As well... FOUR new characters! That makes this update one of the largest in a while. So here's what's new in this version of the game:
- Miranda added to game. - 5 CGs added for Miranda. - Silvia added to game. - 5 CGs added for Silvia. - Holi added to game. - 5 CGs added for Holi. - Iris added to game. - 5 CGs added for Iris.
Big FreeCell is simply a 2 deck version of FreeCell
Improved Steam Deck compatibility
Good news! With today's update, players are reporting that Solitaire Expeditions is now playable (mostly) on the Steam Deck. The game has no audio and a couple of text artifacts, but you should be able to play games.
I don't currently have a Steam Deck, so I am unable to test (or debug) it myself. I did put down a deposit, so I am now in the queue to get one. Hopefully I will be able to resolve the remaining issues in the future.
Performance issues? Try the new 'Enable software rendering' setting
The key to getting Solitaire Expeditions to run on the Steam Deck was forcing the game to use software rendering. I have also added this as an option when running on a PC. If you are experiencing rendering or performance problems with the game, enabling this may help you.

Hey everyone! We just updated the demo for PAX. There's no new content in the demo itself, but we made some changes in response to your feedback, added some new visuals, and fixed a couple bugs. :)
Dramatically improved performance of undo/redo and save point switching, especially on lower end machines
Added a weather system with snow and rain and varied skies
Visuals on the main menu now change throughout the game
Reworked the first ice world puzzle to be less confusing
All levels now exist in game (not included in demo)
We've made more progress on the Linux port, though you won't see the effects of this outwardly in the demo yet. (Side note: our Steam Deck arrived today! Way of Rhea doesn't yet work on Steam Deck as far as we're aware, now that we have one that should change soon.)
