The next version is now ready for testing with a limited audience! Players who have published a route in the Steam workshop are invited to participate.
Why is the alpha test for route developers only?
The alpha version is still largely unoptimised, leading to low and fluctuating frame rates in the driving sim. Also the three core routes (Mountain Pass, North Landen and Westfords) have not yet been properly updated to make use of the new scenery features. Neither of these are a problem for route developers, so this is a good time to start collecting feedback on the new route editor features.
How to participate?
Send me a friend invite on Steam or DM me on Discord. You'll receive a password that needs to be entered in the Steam client in order to download the "alpha" beta branch.

When does the beta testing start?
Open beta testing will probably start in September, once the game has been sufficiently optimised and the routes upgraded.
1. Add keyboard hot key in business mode. ESC -> Settings Shift -> Switch Chef/Clerk ALT -> Switch x1/ x2 1.2.3.4.5.6 -> Choose a Chef/Clerk Customers: SPACE -> Greet CTRL -> Reject ESC -> Close
2. Update the rule about max shopping quantity in Yuhang. 3. Fix Diary bugs of “Double Seventh Festival: Lanterns on a stream” and “Zhong Yuan Festival: The chance to profit ” in July.
It's been great seeing so many of you jumping into our final update, v2.2 Crossplay, but after monitoring the live build for a month or so, there were some issues we wanted to iron out. So we just couldn't help ourselves - we’ve dived back in to investigate and address some bugs that were impacting players’ ability to load into matches.
The focus of this patch is major issues with starting and finding games, and it's live now.
We've addressed...
An issue where the ‘Game ready!’ popup would appear without all the player slots filled, preventing games from starting properly (note: there may still be empty slots for a few seconds while players finish joining the match).
An issue where players would be searching for a game and never find one.
An issue where you would occasionally receive an infinite spinner when attempting to join a private game lobby.
We expedited this patch Steam, so you're a touch ahead of console players and thus won’t be able to crossplay until certification on console is complete and the fix is rolled out to those platforms. We'll keep you posted on that.
As always we are grateful to everyone who supports us and this game. There seemed to be some confusion with our last update, we are not abandoning the game. We are still here, ready and available to resolve major issues. Armello has a huge place in our hearts, even though we’re working on two unannounced titles.
