It has been made easier for the number of times a character evades (evade rate) to increase .
The chances of some enemies escaping has been reduced.
A visual effect was added where the screen flashes if an allied character’s attack scores a critical hit.
The time taken when transitioning between screens after escaping from battle has been reduced.
The command “Swap” is now no longer selected when using auto-battle.
Alterations relating to maps and events
Alterations have been made so that weapons and armour are sorted into attack (or defence) power order within their type category when using the auto-sort function on the menu screen.
Changes have been made so that the mini map is immediately displayed in the top right of the screen after moving to a new map.
The default cursor position when selecting to stay at an inn has been changed to the “yes” option.
The graphics for destroyed towns on the world map have been altered to make them look more natural.
Bug fixes
The following bugs have been fixed. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that these issues may have caused.
Battle related issues
Sometimes it was not possible to correctly evade an enemy follow-up attack.
Sometimes the special effect from “Aura” that enhances attacks against specific enemy types would not be correctly applied, resulting in the damage inflicted being too low.
The effects of “Aura” and “Wall” would not degrade when used on all targets. This has been fixed so that the effect is now one magic level lower when casting on all targets than it would be if cast on a single target.
Sometimes a character with a weapon equipped in each hand would make their second attack against a different enemy if the first attack reduced the target to 0 HP. This has been fixed so the second attack will always target the same enemy.
Map and event related/ other issues
Sometimes some event scenes would not display properly under specific circumstances.
Some graphics were not displayed in a suitable manner.
Under specific circumstances character behaviour and graphical presentation would act unnaturally.
Some BGM and SFX were not played correctly.
Fixes to other minor bugs. Further updates are planned in future.
City Game Studio: Your Game Dev Adventure Begins - Binogure
Hello everyone!
A warm welcome to this v1.10.0 update! Do you remember a year ago (already), City Game Studio left early access, I felt that the game was already complete! But that' s without counting on your suggestions.
Many of you have joined the studio's discord server. Thus we discuss about the game, but also about the mods you make, the next updates, bugs, we share a lot. Anyway, I invite you to join us!
Without further ado, let's talk about this update!
Video game consoles
I drew them in 2017. Ever since, they had remained unchanged, although in the meantime I got a bit better at drawing with Inkscape. Being impressed with the mods you made, and a bit jealous of their quality, I decided to redraw all the City Game Studio consoles. Personally, I find them beautiful, obviously the more a console will be cult, the more details it will have. While I was playing, I realized that it was difficult to recognize the OSes, Skylight, GNU/Linux... Therefore I spent some time assigning textures to them, this way it becomes easier to distinguish these platforms. It's all about adding immersion, I hope you'll like it.
Game over
Endgame is huge. so I decided to rework all of that. From now on, you're going to be able to go bankrupt, it depends on the difficulty, from the easiest to the hardest, it goes from a $250,000 bankrupt to a $50,000 bankrupt. So that' s to make the game less punishing when you're struggling. The end of the game has also been changed. From now on, you will receive an email in 2025 to let you know that a special event will take place by the end of the year. This will allow you to better prepare yourself for the endgame.
Immersion
The rivals are going to release games that are inspired by real games. Someone is going to release Metal Gear Liquid, and it's going to be a hit. Plus it's fully moddable, which means you can expect a bunch of new mods that allow you to replay the story of the video game as it really happened.
New components for the game engines have been introduced. Thus allowing you to create Open Worlds from the 80's ! I also took the time to name all the components of the consoles, no more components that are called "#1", they will now have real recognizable names.
Misc
I spent a lot of time optimizing the game and the rendering of the game so large maps with lots of competitors could be played on low end configurations. Several menus have been optimized. I also improved the user experience by allowing for example to change the color of a console while it is being developed. Or letting you change the studios that work on the game ports, or the games of the year.
SteamDeck and Linux
These are the most important changes for Linux users. City Game Studio now uses the Steam SDK Runtime, which means that the game should run smoothly.
In top of that, there is also support for low resolutions. Fonts will now adjust according to the resolution, allowing SteamDeck users to read all texts easily. In addition, a virtual keyboard will automatically appear when you click on a text input field (only for the SteamDeck).
Closing words
There are quite a few other minor changes, some not so minor that I haven't presented, but either you can read about them at the bottom of this post or experience them by launching City Game Studio!

BUG fix: (1) Fixed the issue of not being able to take out apprentices properly during settlement in some cases. (2) The need to challenge the master in the task of favorable breakthrough to optimize the role of dark gold caused the problem of "expropriation of salary", "kicking the museum" and other behavioral obstacles.
In order to ensure the stability of the game operation and improve the game experience, Shadowbane's first server [Gungnir], second server [Mjolnir] and third server [Gram] will perform routine maintenance on August 22 17:00-19:00 Pacific Time (8:00-10:00, August 23 Beijing Time). If the maintenance content cannot be completed within the scheduled time, the service opening time will to be postponed. Please understand.
Chord inversion is now possible. For example, one chord [Dm] can be played by switching the notes like [D3 - F3 - A3], [F3 - A3 - D4], [A3 - D4 - F4]. In popular music, they are written as [Dm/F] and [Dm/A]. (Only normal chords are supported. Guitar chords are not supported.)
Effect when used
It is possible to suppress the range of pitch movement during chord progression, making it easier to hear the chord progression.
You can change the impression of the sound of the chord by changing the lowest note even with the same chord.
Method of operation You can change the inversion of the chord by pressing [Z] + [LMB] or [Alt] + [LMB] on the chord placed on the timeline. (The operation method is also displayed at the bottom of the tool screen.)

Some key assignments have been changed. If you have changed the key to operate, please check [Key Bindings] in the menu.
Files saved in the latest version can no longer be opened in lower versions.
Note: If you want to use an earlier version, open the game properties on Steam, select BETAS, and select the previous version. (You do not need to enter the access code.)
The Helheim season is about to end and a new season begins. And so, we will be making character transfers available for Warlords on Lotus Ash Sea, Dragonrise Island, Jaderock Creek, Sandstorm Gorge, and Espada Forest.
Server Transfer Time:
We estimate that registration for server transfers will begin on August 26th, 00:00 (UTC+8), and run through August 31st, 23:59 (UTC+8), 2022.
Character transfers will be performed during the new season's maintenance.
Server Scope
Players may transfer between the Lotus Ash Sea, Dragonrise Island, Jaderock Creek, Sandstorm Gorge, and Espada Forest servers.
Transfer Cost
It will cost 600 Sovereigns to transfer between servers.
Transfer Restrictions
There will be a limit on the number of characters that can be transferred to and from the various servers, after which server transfers will no longer be available:
Players may transfer without restrictions between the Lotus Ash Sea, Dragonrise Island, Jaderock Creek, Sandstorm Gorge and Espada Forest servers.

Once a server's quota has been used up, no further transfers will be available, so be sure to register your transfer as soon as possible if you wish to undergo one.
How to Transfer
Log in to the character you wish to transfer, press ESC and select Account Services -> Character Transfer to access the Character Transfer menu. Then select the server you wish to transfer to, and confirm your choice. Doing so will deduct the Sovereign fee from your account and your character will be tagged with 'Pending Transfer'. Your character will then be transferred following the new season's maintenance.
Important:
After having submitted an application to transfer servers, you may cancel this at any time before August 31st, 23:59 (UTC+8), 2022. Upon canceling a transfer your Sovereigns will be returned to you (only applicable to this server transfer event). Though, upon canceling a transfer you will not be able to apply for a new one for a period of 24 hours.
Characters pending transfer cannot be deleted. Should the character transfer not succeed, the cost will be returned to you.
You can still play on your character as per usual while a transfer is pending.
Upon successful server transfer, the character's friends list and blacklist will be cleared. Upon logging in to the new server, you will once again have to choose a region.
The following items and resources may be brought during the transfer:
Items and resources in your Inventory, Supply Dump, and Wagon will be brought.
Resources in Resource Piles will be brought.
Items and resources already listed with the Auctioneers CANNOT be brought.
Mail and their attachments will be transferred to the new server.
Duplicate Names: Should a character with the same name as yours exist on the server you transfer to, a string of digits will be added to your name. On the day of the server transfer we will then issue you a New Identity Document x1.
7. Extra Info: A character may be unable to log in to the target server if that server has login restrictions. Please ensure that you can log in to a server before transferring a character.
