Visually redesigned the Title Scene of the Game!



Bugfixes

Fixed a bug where special booster special reduction wouldn't apply properly

Fixed a bug where special booster special reduction would apply, but not visually via the special meter

Fixed a bug where using the blackhole cursor special while another blackhole was already active would result in nothing happening (the newer blackhole will now replace the old one)

Fixed a bug where failsafes weren't properly being consumed after dying with them active

Fixed a bug where the Player's visual damage and death VFX weren't displaying as intended

Balance Changes

Blackhole cursor damage reduced from 5 to 3 (Upgraded damage reduced from 11.25 to 7.5)

General

Further reduced the volume of mouse clicks during auto-attack

Added Abilities and Utilities to the Survival Shop (Coming soon)

Added more survival backend. Including 4 new songs! (Will be added to the soundtrack when survival releases before the end of the month)
A Weekend in Puzzleburg - Sunny Demeanor Games
One of the big pieces of feedback I've received on the demo is a desire to actually be able to take your own selfie at the point in the game when Cindy (the main character) takes a selfie of the "welcome to Puzzleburg" sign. As such, I've released a new version of the demo that allows you to do just that.

Here are the new features in demo version 1.1.1:
1. The game now works with the Steam overlay through the typical Shift + Tab command. In addition, this means you can take screenshots any time you want like with any other Steam game by pressing F12 (or Function + F12, which is what works on my PC). So when Cindy takes a selfie at the welcome sign, you too can grab a screenshot of your own if you like. Screenshots are accessible in the Steam app by going to View -> Screenshots
2. There is improved waypathing in certain areas, in particular the arcade has been slightly redesigned so you can cut through the middle
3. Bug fixes, in particular for the save screen where the number of quests completed wasn't displaying the correct number

New Features and Improvements
  • Added underground ore, indicated by ore spots on the ground near larger ore rocks
  • Added a mine building, unlocked through technology, to gather underground ore
  • Added the siege ladder, siege tower, and trebuchet and their relevant technologies
  • Added mounting scorpions and catapults on towers, once the corresponding technology is researched
  • Added 'Flaming Siege Shot', 'Curved Sword', and 'Adjustable Release' technologies
  • Stockpile workers carry multiple resource types to the same destination
  • Stockpiles and armories prioritize their move orders by quantity
  • Units starting inside a building take a more efficient path to exit
  • Greatly optimized the grouping of unit world icons
  • Optimized spotting
  • Various minor optimizations

Corrections and Fixes
  • Units following other units stopped short of their target
  • Buildings blocked movement after they were burned, disassembled, or destroyed by siege weapons
  • Humans could leave walls by the crenelated side
  • Units did not update their pathing when a gate opened or closed
  • An open gate did not allow units to path through it after loading the game
  • Units took jagged paths through unbuilt buildings
  • Animals did not always avoid swamps
  • Units following a another unit too fast for them to reach could move away from their target
  • The damage bonus for charging speed was not always applied correctly
  • Warriors equipped with a set containing only an axe did not auto attack
  • Humans ordered to upgrade their equipment who were not wearing a currently defined equipment set did not pickup the best available replacement items
  • The 'Fire Resistant Ram' tech did not apply to existing rams
  • Catapults did not move out of their minimum range properly when ordered to attack a building
  • Warriors would no pickup equipment from multiple armories in some cases
  • The scenario AI did not equip their warriors with the intended ratio of melee to ranged sets
  • A workshop with two workers sent the apprentice out for resources it did not need
  • Workshops could become stuck in rare cases
  • The fletcher could store more items than other workshops
  • A resource could not be gathered from in extremely rare cases
  • When loading the game, animals could leave the building where they were working
  • An armory would not give items to a unit for a move order if that item type was no allowed at the armory
  • A cart could not carry out an armory move order if the item type was not allowed at the cart's armory
  • Armory move orders to destination armories that did not allow the item type were attempted to be carried out by workers
  • Humans picking up a sickle to work at a pig farm did not always return
  • Humans working at a building when ordered to upgrade equipment did not complete their orders correctly
  • Dead horses and oxen that could be looted were not removed when a building was built over them
  • The bonuses from horses and oxen helping plant at a farm were not always applied as intended
  • The group icon for fletchers and armorers did not show their crafter type icon
  • On the main menu technology plan UI, technologies disabled by choosing their exclusive alternative remained disabled when switching technology presets
  • The allowed item types at a cart's armory could be displayed incorrectly
  • The 'Selective Breeding' tech did not require 'Large Cart'
  • When a selected enemy unit is no longer visible, they are removed from selection
  • When a selected owned building is captured, it is removed from selection
  • Various shadow bugs fixed
  • Catapults sometimes played their attack animation twice for one shot

Balance
  • Humans who do not need to transport food, not including gathering, eat carried food before taking from stockpiled food
  • Scenario AI set to equipment quality 'Medium' or 'Good' will use the 'Javelin Ankyle' technology
  • Scenario AI set to equipment quality 'Good' will use the 'Flaming Arrows' technology
  • Infantry using a spear deal counter damage to charging cavalry that hit them in melee; the 'Shield Wall' technology increases this damage
  • The base warrior skill gain at the barracks is increased, and the effect of various bonuses to it is decreased
  • Humans on a wall have a slightly increased spotting distance
  • At a pasture, the master tamer's peasant skill increases the average quality of domestic animals created through taming at the pasture
  • At a pasture, the master tamer's peasant skill is less effective as the number of animals increases; an apprentice tamer can help train several animals faster
  • Siege weapon projectile splash damage is less effective and much more random
  • Siege constructs slightly benefit from the warrior skill of their operators, and the operators gain warrior skill when attacking enemies

UI/UX
  • Smelters change their icon to show that they are running and which type of ingot they are producing
  • When ordered to disassemble a fortification, a human will disassemble all attached fortifications in the chain that are marked for disassembly
  • Added an option to show or hide the world icons of siege construct operators
  • When a stockpile or armory is selected, the 'UI Function' hotkey (default '~') toggles permission for all displayed resources or item types
  • The Scenario and Free Build setup pages display the currently selected equipment and technology presets
  • The equipment set UI in game updates the weapon selection buttons to reflect researched technology
  • When hovering the cursor over an enemy domestic animal, a lasso rope icon is shown
  • Improved the house icon
  • Several technology descriptions are more thorough and clear
  • The maximum number of forests in map parameters is increased
  • Reduced the frequency of 'Starvation' messages

1. Direct audio playback



Added direct audio playback from sound track channels to a real home theater audio setup like: stereo, quadraphonic, 5.1 or 7.1 surround real speakers.

This will deactivate the VHT's 3D audio spatial rendering and it will play the audio directly to the headphone or a stereo, quadraphonic, 5.1 or 7.1 surround real speakers.

2. MPO image viewer

Added image viewer support for stereoscopic 3D MPO (Multi Picture Object) photos.



These images (.mpo) are made with HTC EVO 3D phone or Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3 Digital Camera.

MPO photos are not like 3D anaglyph (red-cyan) or Side-by-Side images.

Hello all !

So this update is around NPCs

as you may know old NPC used to stand not doing much staying all day long outside not doing anything
well fear not, they move now !

Basically, each NPC will move from their home around 8 am and will come back home around 8 pm.
Some NPC like Reisen will go back to much longer distances.

I will add more complex NPC behavior later one, like shops being closed, some NPC moving around

I will unfortunately not have much time programming the game since i will start university this Monday, will still try to make as much as I can but I can't guarantee anything ! I hope you will understand

this update was really hard to pull off, I will be honest with you, mentally it's not going so well, and remaking all the sprites so I can make a top down and side movement took me quite some time

Added :

-All NPC behavior, except for Meiling, Meiling stays outside no matter what (i'm still figuring out what to do with her)
-TIme, you can now view time at any time. displayed as an in-game clock, you may not notice but the game also "display" a day system, by that i mean, the NPC will do different things depending on the day, monday, friday, sunday, and so on...

SSS222: HyperSpace Playtest - HaipaRemon
  • Cosmetics are now Unlockable, they are finally not all Unlocked by default. Lockboxes can give you certain random cosmetics from regular Series, but some Special ones are reserved for either getting an Achievement or Purchasing the game for example etc.
    You can craft (or drop in the future) a Lockbox out of Dynamized Celestial Stars (ones you get at the end of a Level, or craft them using Starshards from Classic Mode)
    + New Skin "Maniac" for defeating the Moon of Lunacy
  • Introduced a Break Encounter System for Adventure - basically every 5 Waves and after Ascending; a Break with the Trader will occur and your progress is auto saved, fly up to Continue
    The Trader no longer spawns based on a timer/score in Adventure
    This system will be expanded upon in future updates, including overall Trading changes
6 new Passive Modules
  • Energetic Burst - After collecting Energy Balls you have a chance of shooting some out randomly(like Thorns), dealing dmg to enemies
  • Code Breaker - Immunity to Zone and Hacked status
  • Absorption Concentrator - You turn half of health absorption get from any event to instant health
  • Take me Higher - A module that allows you to ascend 30% faster when its your last Celestial Point for the Level?
  • Full on Gas [Hardcore] - Immunity to Fuel status
  • Seasoned Traveler [Adventure] - Instead of resetting to the previous Zone after death during Travel, you accumulate 30 more seconds of travel time, and makes overall Travel a little easier
3 new Skill Modules
  • Lunar Shield - Manifest a rotating Shield made of Crystals protecting you from projectiles
  • Determined - When hitting low Health, get a burst of shoot speed for couple of seconds
  • Give it to me - The next hit you take will heal you its true damage
  • Energy Regen now does not work when using a Melee weapon that uses Energy (for ex. LSaber)
  • Fixed Holobody not remembering in which Zone it should appear so it always appeared in the first
  • Moon of Lunacy's now has sounds indicating the attacks
  • The Freezing status effects now flashes the screen and gives off a sound
  • Fixed Powerup Inventory alignment on Upscaled HUD
  • Upgrading Ship Parts has a sound

This concludes the last Playtest Build, thank you everyone for participating, I unfortunately had to cut out on some content because of time constraints.
I now have last pieces to finish for the release build for 24.08 (Steam takes from 3 to 5 business days to verify it)
