We’ve got a minor update for you this month, adding 3 new jobs as well as a bunch of fixes and some graphical improvements. We hope you enjoy it!
Put on your hard hat and visit the new construction site in the forest! You can show off your building skills in 3 new jobs. There are a bunch of new vehicles and tools to help you get the job done.
The new building jobs work in 3 stages in a similar way to the farming job. Once you finish one job the same NPC will offer to start the next stage.
Recycling Job
Become a heavy machinery expert and use the Recycling Machines to turn bits of rubble into new building materials.
Construction Job
Take on the role of a builder and lay the bricks yourself. Place bags of materials on the walls and use a hammer to build them before the time runs out!
Demolition Job
As a Wobbly builder you don’t get everything right the first time. So sometimes buildings need to be demolished. Make use of a variety of new tools and vehicles to knock those walls back down again.
Save Game Backup System
For the PC version of Wobbly Life we have added a backup system, which puts the last 20 saves into a directory in case you delete/corrupt the save file.
The backups are located here (replace USERNAME with your computer user name) - >> C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\RubberBandGames\Wobbly Life\Save
You should find a folder with a bunch of numbers and _backup, the bunch of numbers is your steam id.
Once you find the folder and want to restore your game, all you need to do is make sure the game is closed, extract the backup you want to restore from its zip file, then copy all the contents inside the backup and put them inside your save folder which will be located here -
>> C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\RubberBandGames\Wobbly Life\Save (It will be the folder with a bunch of numbers - not the one with _backup)
We hope this helps people who lose their save files. We have made a bunch of adjustments in this update to try to ensure that this doesn’t happen, but without knowing exactly what causes the save issues we have introduced this system as well.
We do plan to go into more detail soon in the Steam discussions about restoring backup saves.

Known Bugs
- Vehicles can sometimes float in mid air when nobody is in them - Recycling cement mixer rotation speed not always consistent depending on FPS (If you are having issues we suggest putting vSync on)
1. The fifth chapter of the main story has been reworked. 2. Evil Soul Hook skill redone. 3. Priestess standby action redone. 4. Increase the priestess leisure action. 5. Several dances have been added to the photo mode. 6. Added dance scene in photo mode. 7. Hold down the handle up and down, the ui focus can move faster. 8. The left joystick can control the ui. 9. Fixed the bug that the camera collided with the mold in a narrow space. 10. There will be a text prompt when riding the bloodthirsty demon in the main line. 11. Fixed the bug where the staff assassinated the captain, and the captain would also summon mobs. 12. Optimize the AO effect of medium and high quality cameras. 13. Optimize the camera angle when locking on the enemy. 14. The final boss blood pool scene adds some lightning and thunder weather. 15. The air wall in the first chapter of the main story is optimized, and the viewing angle will not be blocked by trees. 16. A wall jumping shelf has been added to the corridor in the first chapter of the main line, and an NPC dialogue has been added on the other side of the wall. 17. Guess the jar mini-game jar model optimization. 18. The background music of the eighth chapter of the main line is perfect. 19. The game was finally launched in the EA version. To be honest, the first day was not smooth. We encountered various accidents. For example, because the official review was too long, players could not download EA client, so we had to let players download the DEMO client first, which confused many players.
If you are still using the DEMO client, please download the EA client to play the game, which is also helpful to us. Don't worry, the data in the server is the same.
Well, let's share our plans for the August:
1. Reduce the burden on players We will make some optimizations to make it easier for players to experience the game: Increased the upper limit of loot backpacks; Auto-battle in Tower of Suncaller will no longer be turned off automatically; Auto-battle require more failed times before automatically turn off; slaying elite monsters will get a lot of EXP and loots, increase the idle efficiency to avoid unnecessary idle.
2. New in-game Handbook It is a system similar to achievement collection and information viewing, players can get more information through the Handbook system, such as character that has been collected and waiting to be collected. And it is a collection system with rewards, you can get rewards after collect new characters. Speak of new characters, let me share with you the new characters currently in production, and the new art of the King of the Damned, its new model is also under remaking.
3. Difficulty system open Players will challenge stages of difficult and nightmare level. Although the stage difficulty will be increased, which will test the depth of the player's team, at the same time, this means a large amount of diamond rewards.
4. Greater Rift System It's similar to Diablo 3's Greater Rift, players will challenge an endless level, with more battles, more rare equipments and various legendary badges waiting for players. This patch adds the following: - A new very deadly biome: Desert. - A new animal which can be hunted and tamed - desert scorpions. - Drawbridges which can be raised and lowered to prevent/allow access. It also acts as a defensive barrier which blocks projectiles. (Drawbridges needs to be researched first) - Three new research options, improving the speed of harvesting and planting. - A new soundtrack called 'Jungle chase'. - Veteran units will sometimes appear as lone visitors on all game modes. They often have some requirements to join your faction.* - Low, rumbling ambient noise have been added when the camera is deep underground. - When cold outside villagers breath will show.
This patch fixes/changes the following: - It gets rid of many crashes and bugs and improves GUI-communications. - All AI has been overall improved. A few examples: climbing mechanics are improved, animals finding food correctly, work orders being found/performed faster, quicker pathfinding, etc. - The sound system has been improved and ambient nature sounds originate from ground level and can't be heard deep underground. - Standing banners can now be used to set a visitors-go-here-point. Also visitors approaching your settlement has been improved, they will no longer be "stuck" near edges. - Villagers can now visit graves which gives a 5x bonus to recovery from psychic trauma. - Stockpiles will no longer collapse just because one ground tile is removed under them. As long as there is one tile of ground right below them, they will remain intact. - Undeads are now capable of destroying blocks above them as well, resulting in walkable rubble, effectively 'building' stairs to reach your settlement. - You can now dispose of dead animals. - You can now upgrade beds and chairs instead of having to dismantling and then building new ones. - The research menu has been split into two pages, making it easier to navigate, - Buildings now have armor, so to speak, which will make them resistant to some types of damages like slashing and piercing. Sometimes attacks will completley fail resulting in a "No damage"-popup.
These are the main ones, but as always I tend to forget to mention stuff. As always: I stand very ready to throw in a hotfix should this patch cause unforseen issues, so please let me know!

PS: Some biomes, like Mountains and Desert, might seem like an needlessly difficult challenge for some, but when map-travelling** becomes a part of the game, difficult terrain like this will play an essential part of making the world come alive.

**Map-travelling is not many patches away now. There is one more biome to add, jungle, which is maybe one month away, and after that I will start working on opening the world.
