Graphics Changes!

This update changes the look of the game in almost every area, including a reworked menu and reworked chapter 1 ending!

With Game Update 7.1 “Digging Deeper,” players return to Elom to unearth new clues about Darth Malgus’s mysterious plans. This update also brings a new Operation–the R-4 Anomaly–as well as the Manaan Daily Area and new tactical items. Alongside the new content, we’ve improved the player’s experience with changes made to the User Interface, including additional customization options. Read below for more details!



Story Update: Digging Deeper - Discover new secrets about the motivation behind Darth Malgus’s mysterious plans and learn the fate of Sa’har Kateen, the Jedi Padawan Malgus dueled in the ancient ruins of Elom.

R-4 Anomaly Operation - In this new 8-player Operation, players take on an obscure Sith cult set on harvesting technology from an ancient weapon of terrifying power. This new operation is available in Story Mode and Veteran Mode to all characters at level 80. Look for it in the Activity Finder window!

The following can be obtained from this Operation:

• Virulent Armor Sets
  
• Hazardous Armor Sets
  
• Bosses and R-4 Anomaly Operation Decorations
  
• Item Rating 340 gear in Veteran Mode

Manaan Daily Area - Travel to Manaan for two new, faction-based storylines and repeatable Missions. To access these Missions, characters must have completed the Onslaught and Legacy of the Sith expansions. Manaan Daily Area Missions will be available on the Daily Missions Terminal on Manaan or in the Activity Finder window.

Like other Daily Areas, Manaan will offer several new rewards. To earn them you’ll need to reach the appropriate reputation rank with your respective faction by completing Daily and Weekly Missions. Each faction has a vendor in their base who sells items, including:

• Firaxan Weapon Sets
  
• Manaan Defender and Nightlight Armor Sets
  
• Cerulean Turtle Minipet
  
• Manaan-inspired Stronghold Decorations

Four new tacticals - With this new update, new Tactical items are now available at the vendors in the Supplies section of each Fleet:

• Bodyguard Mercenary / Combat Medic Commando: Kolto Vapors
  
• Carnage Marauder / Combat Sentinel: Shard of Mortis
  
• Arsenal Mercenary / Gunnery Commando: Gyroscopic Stabilizers
  
• Innovative Ordnance Mercenary / Assault Specialist Commando: Magnetic Resonance

Power Increase - New Items Ratings of gear have been added to Upgrade Vendors on the Fleet. Players can now upgrade to Item Rating 330 by completing Conquests, Flashpoints, and Legacy Operations.

Improved Player Experience - In addition to the new content listed above, this update also includes Class balance changes, improvements to the Character and Chat windows, and customizable subtitles and combat styles icons.

Nar Shaddaa Nightlife 2022 - The Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event is back from August 2nd at 12:00 PM UTC until September 13th at 12:00 PM UTC. For this new edition, we’re introducing new rewards inspired by last year’s High Roller Shades and more! Check these out here.

There were reports that the game crashes when clicking the window of the game. This update fixes that problem.

Hello! I’ve finished with all the new maps for the v0.98 update aside from Hanako’s room. Everything looks fine and I’ll switch to playtesting after completing the main logic for the release.

Hanako’s H scene preview will be arriving closer to the release date because the artist took some time to rest. Anyway, I’ll post a preview as soon as I’ll get the art.

I’ve made several additional checks for the crashing issue that some players reported before. Looks like the last update fixed it for good since I didn’t encounter it myself in long play sessions and players didn’t report any fresh occurrences. Hope this resolves the problem. I’m marking it as completed and will focus on MonGirl Expedition’s content next.

So far, I don’t see any major problems with the upcoming release, so we’ll use the usual roll-out window of August 14-16th. If anything changes, I’ll make a separate info post to give players the news.

Fixed Mariam’s quest where the player could leave the boss’ room without obtaining the quest item, locking the quest chain. Now, the boss no longer drops the quest item, and it’s automatically picked up in a cutscene.

Adjusted some map geometry.

Welcome to Patch Notes for Patch 71.20 - we’ve got a lot of balance changes, a new character, emote selection, and a ton of new art. Let’s dive in!

[h4]Queen of Hearts -> 1/1[/h4]
Queen of Hearts dominated the midgame too easily, with just two other Evil characters making her effectively a 5/7. By reducing her to 1/1 starting stats, we bring her more in line with other characters at level three.



[h4]Princess Wight -> 3/5[/h4]
Princess Wight needed a little extra juice, and giving her +1/+1 is enough to make her the fairest of them all.







[h4]Amy -> 6/6[/h4]
[h4]Greedy -> 5/9[/h4]
[h4]Angry -> 10/15[/h4]
These Dwarves are getting some buffs, as they do cool things and have been a little behind the rest of the pack (my pro-Greedy agenda has finally paid off). Plus, Angry really should have been better at hitting things to begin with.



[h4]Copycat ->2/10[/h4]
Copycat has fallen out of favor, and we'd like to encourage its unique play pattern. Two extra health means it will survive a little more often, and enables various combo comps.



[h4]Wombats -> 5/5[/h4]
They could be anything, even a level 6! Wombats are one of the most fun characters in the game, and we wanted them to earn a place on your team more often than they do now.



[h4]Hercules -> 25/25[/h4]
Hercules is one of the best level 6 characters to get ahead of schedule, but struggles to complete his quest if you get him much later than that. By increasing his stats to 25/25, we are making it a little less of a Herculean task, and something you may go for even when you've been level 6 for a few turns.



[h4]Boom Hilda -> Gained "Mage" type[/h4]
After we got the new art and concept for Boom Hilda, it was hard to justify not adding "Mage". Plus, this opens the door for more Aon combos, which I'm certainly not going to say "no" to.



[h4]Xelhua -> 40 Health[/h4]
Xelhua is consistently at or near the top of the list when it comes to hero winrates, and is powerful enough in the lategame to not need the extra boost in health.



[h4]Radiant Prism -> World Tree[/h4]
Having two Level 7 Prisms didn't really make sense, so this is switching to a different (and more flavorful) concept in World Tree.



[h4]Book of Heroes -> +2/+2[/h4]
Book of Heroes wasn't feeling particularly heroic, especially given all the pieces you needed to have it work. As such, we are buffing it.



[h4]Princess Pea - Good Royal Level 6 10/10[/h4]

I get double bonuses from Supports.
Last Breath: Give the characters Supporting me my Attack and Health this brawl.

Royals has been missing a non-quest Level 6 character for a while now, so Princess Pea to the rescue! All she wants is some good support, which is a key to a good night's sleep.

We've added emote selection! Now you can pick the perfect combination of emotes to express yourself in game (I can't resist some Trash Panda emotes myself).

• No more shared pools. Each player has a personal pool that doesn't empty.
  • This change was already made for SBB99, and we decided to make it standard across all modes. It simplifies things, and wasn't a key gameplay element.
• We did a major refactor of trigger timing, fixing many bugs involving interactions with triggers occurring at the same time:
  • When two or more characters die simultaneously (Doombreath, Falling Stars, etc.) Phoenix Feather will no longer revive the wrong (smaller) character.
    
  • If Wretched Mummy trades with Soltak Ancient, the Last Breath trigger can now damage characters that were previously protected by Soltak.
    
  • Time Flies should no longer take priority over other summon effects in any scenario.
    
  • Muerte with Copycat will now double the first (leftmost) Last Breath effect.
    
  • With Ring of Meteors/Falling Stars, a full board, and one 1 health character, Trojan Donkey will now properly summon a character into the newly-vacated slot.
• Randomly cast targeted spells now trigger "cast directly on me" abilities:
  • Random spells from Genie's Wish now work with Potion Master.
    
  • Crystal Ball adds a spell and allows casting another spell if Genie's Wish produces a targeted spell.
    
  • Random spells from Genie's Wish and/or Loki can now wake a Sleeping Princess and/or trigger Potion Master's Cookbook.
• Fixed a bug with International dates causing errors for players when redeeming Untapped codes.
  
• Fixed an issue with formatting on text for cards not being centered.
  
• Fixed an issue with Giganify's art being pixelated.
  
• Fixed a bug where if you had a Great Library Card and played For Glory! your bonus character wasn't added to shop when you had a full board/hand/shop.
  
• Fixed a bug where Fates destined character was not added to shop if you had Great Library Card and you had a full board/hand/shop.
  
• Fixed an issue with Winningest Hero in Profile not displaying your alt hero costume if you had one.
  
• Added three new Costumes and a new hero frame for Untapped. (More info soon!)

• Fixed an issue where the player's view would randomly shift when playing in a Cooperative game.
  
• Fixed an issue where certain items in the game would become unpickable after loading a savegame.
  
• Fixed a bug where the Crossbow would sometimes lose some of its visual effects on clients in a Cooperative game.
  
• Fixed a bug where the clients in a Cooperative game would sometimes be unable to shoot while using the Babymech.
  
• Fixed slightly misplaced plasma gate on the bridge on the Crime and Punishment level.
