I’ve been posting FoxTail mythology on my Patreon page and Discord server and haven’t written anything personal in a long time. But I want you to know that I can feel your support and that I am very thankful to you for it.
As you know, the war in our country is not over yet, but we are keeping our spirits high, trying to do everything we can and help each other and our army.
I’d also like to share with you my impressions of the transfer of the game to the new engine. The Power Quest toolkit that we use is very handy and fast, the locations are assembled in minutes! Unfortunately, there are difficulties, too. For example, we have to add almost all the text manually, because Power Quest has its own requirements and they are vastly different from the ones that we had in Wintermute. But it is compensated in the other stages, so everything is handy and fast.
For everyone who is concerned by the game’s quality and fears that it will lose its pixel charm, I’d like to point out that everything is great. Power Quest is a pixel-perfect toolkit, so everything will look and work the same as before in the updated version. This was one of the most important criteria for us in choosing the engine. But, of course, we don’t neglect the new opportunities that are available for us with the Unity engine and Power Quest toolkit.
By the way, as we found out, the Power Quest developer turned out to be a FoxTail fan. He played the game with his son and they are waiting for the story to continue. So he offered to modify the toolkit to meet our needs. I think you realize how helpful and cool that is when you have a direct link with the developer of the toolkit.
So, the work is in full swing even if we don’t talk about it much. Thank you for your support. Everything will be great.
This update mainly reduces the difficulty of the beginning of hell mode, so that friends who choose this difficulty can get started faster. At the same time, according to the suggestions of friends in the group, some settings have been modified, and some cumbersome operations have been simplified again. I hope you have a better time!
The updated content is as follows:
1. Fix the problem that the green button of the achievement hall in Chapter 2 cannot be pressed.
2. The failure of cute pet battle in each chapter is changed to not game over.

11. The character loading and downloading tools (large and small ships, airships, etc.) will maintain the previous moving speed, eliminating the tedious of repeatedly using Shenxing shoes.
12. The function of opening gem vouchers has been improved. Now you can choose to open five, ten, twenty or thirty at a time. Reduce player operations.

Firstly, thank you very much for your patience, for staying with us and for your support. We read all the feedback, your reviews are very inspiring 💙
Secondly, watching you play, we are quite impressed with how many skilled players there are among you. Some manage to hold out against enemies for more than an hour and even longer! However, the intended design and gameplay loop of our game does not provide for such long sessions – it’s simply not possible to save a game in the middle of a run.
We have repeatedly witnessed how players get tired of a long session and eventually just stop defending the tower in order to finish the game. Or said the game was too easy after several long runs with micro-controlling each unit, going to the main menu room only a couple of times, but buying a dozen upgrades at once. Or they said the game was too hard after a few long runs, but with no upgrades or control. In the end, it came down to the inability to predict the time of the game session – a problem that we wanted to address from the very beginning.
With Update 1.2, we are introducing a new system of timers, at the end of which your tower will be visited by powerful enemies. They’ll return you to the menu room, or they will be mercilessly destroyed by you – it is more than possible to defeat them (think of death in Vampire Survivors). It all depends on your upgrades and tactics!
For the best gameplay experience, we recommend starting with a new profile. Don’t worry, all previous saves are not wiped and remain with you! The latest version of the game is 1.2.0.255 now.

Added a prosperous merchant's villa with a wine cellar stuffed with all sorts of goodies. Lots of quest changes: new quests of increased difficulty, new daily quests and main quest chains have been added, and the rewards of the old daily quests have also been improved. Slightly buffed leader pets. Added new abilities to Axes and Healers, balanced some others. And that is not all!

Villa with a wine cellar from the Merchant's pack: Don't forget to re-enter your reward key in the main menu of the game! - A Villa with a wine cellar has been added to the Merchant's set. Descent to the cellar can be built inside the villa. If you have already built a villa, it is better to move it, sizes have changed. - Added Wine cellar. Inside it, you can place unique buildings, as well as several barrels for fermentation and a workbench. - Added unique merchant chest. - Added 6 unique buildings inside the cellar, they can be built in special places. Buildings give new types of drinks and food daily. - Added 2 unique drinks, 4 exotic fruits, 7 types of food. All of them can be obtained from the wine cellar.
New quests: - At the northern gate of Hartfurt you can meet a guard with new difficult quests. - Added new daily quests related to animal husbandry and killing mobs. - Added new quest chains for main quests, which can be obtained from Ragnara, animal breeder and mason. - Improved rewards in several daily quests.
Pet improvements: - Increased the speed of leader mounts. - Strengthened the effect of weakness on leader pets. - Increased the health regeneration of leader pets. - Pet skill Taunt now grants a temporary effect that reduces damage taken. - Pet Silver Fox can now be saddled.
Combat system: Technically, it is not yet possible to make instant jumps, rolls, etc. We are temporarily solving the problem with the immobility of tanks by sprint. - Heavy shields. "Behind the Shield" Instead of slowing movement speed, it now grants a short burst of movement speed. Decided to give Axes some control against ranged targets. The penalty has been added so that in melee and multi-target combat this ability must be used with caution.- Axes. New ability "Raging Throw". Throw an ax that stuns the target on impact and causes bleeding. After the throw, your defense is halved for a few seconds. - Anathema axe. Fixes: - The logic of demolition checks and building transfers has been improved, which will eliminate a number of errors with hanging buildings, placing one building into another, incorrect demolition, errors with hidden floors, and others. - Fixed a bug due to which it became impossible to rotate warehouses on the spot, and put wardrobes close to each other. - Fixed a bug due to which the Luxury Wardrobe and Luxury Dresser could be placed inside other buildings. - Fixed a bug due to which production buildings were disabled if the character left the server and there were no other players near the building. - Fixed a bug due to which it was possible to get stuck in the garden bed. - Fixed a bug with displaying the quality of the offspring of animals in the auction (old animals will still be displayed). - Fixed a bug due to which the offspring bought from the auction had the wrong quality. - Fixed a bug with sorting pets in the inventory and warehouse. Now they are sorted along with resources. - Fixed a bug where a black pet was summoned instead of a regular scorpion pet. - Fixed a bug due to which targets were not highlighted in quests using skills. - Fixed a bug due to which sometimes completing a quest would reset the open task book to the first position and change the description for the first quest. - Optimized the display of graphics for popular buildings.

This is an important bug-fix update to the original .0.23 release, as it fixes several in-game bugs and also some submission issues for console developers. There are also some more fixes for Feather and various other improvements throughout.
