Zen Trails - Wiggles
The Steam Workshop integration is finally here!

I've always wanted a way to download and upload designs, and while being 100% dependent on the Steam Workshop for that to happen isn't ideal, it's a start! The Inspiration panel has gotten a major upgrade. The lightbulb button now opens up the shiny new...
COMMUNITY HUB

Now you can search the Steam Workshop for uploaded designs by all players, see a thumbnail image of the finished product, and read what they have to say about it.

You have to be connected to Steam. If not, it'll just be blank. Worry not, the game still works just fine offline, and I even included a button called "Local Presets" which opens up the old Inspiration Panel if you want to load those designs without going through the interweb.

But Steve! How do I upload my awesome creations? Well I'm glad you asked, young spirographer. I present to you...

THE UPLOADER

It's pretty straightforward but here are some things to keep in mind:

1. The screenshot that gets uploaded with your design is the most recent one you've taken. So play your creation to completion, pause, then take a screenshot using the in-game screenshot button. It does not look at your Steam screenshots! Mostly because I don't want people accidentally uploading shots from other games as their thumbnail.

2. When you press the upload button, it saves a copy of your currently loaded design, including camera position, and that's what gets uploaded. Doesn't matter if it's in Play mode or Build mode... that has no impact on the save file at all.

3. When another player downloads your design, they play it at a Global Speed of 1 by default. So make sure it works well at that global speed. You can easily change the speed of all segments through the Modify panel.

4. I haven't yet come up with a good way to edit designs that are uploaded. So if you change your mind after uploading, just log in to the Steam Workshop and delete it. Maybe in the future I'll add such features.

The Uploader can be accessed by the "Upload" button in the Community Hub, or with the fancy new button in the Navigation panel:

I'm pretty sure there's gonna be like a billion bugs with this, but I have tested it pretty thoroughly myself. But who knows. So let me know if you run into any problems!

I look forward to seeing your designs!
Boyfriend Dungeon - Not Alex
Hello Sword-Smoochers!

It's Alexandra here! We are getting closer to the release of the Secret Weapons Update! The team is working hard at squashing bugs and making the weapon shiny enough for your wielder hands. First, let's talk new dunj:

Verona College Dunj

You might remember Verona College from Boyfriend Dungeon as the school which Sawyer and Olivia take classes. Now it's a full-blown dunj teeming of new monsters, new hangouts and a new fear to conquer! What is it? We can't say, but you might be able to guess based on what you see!

We've also added in some new features that you haven't experienced in the other dunjs. You might have seen the Whip boss fight teased in our latest trailer. Along with some one-on-one time Whip, you'll also encounter special hangouts in the classrooms. Finally, we've included teleporters to some rooms which will be sure to offer a unique challenge when fighting in the dunj.

New Outfits!

It wouldn't be a Boyfriend Dungeon update without some new clothes to try on in your apartment! We're adding new hats with special abilities in the dunj (that alien creature on your head seems menacing). And look at that cute cowboy look! You'll be able to find recipes for all the new outfits in the Verona Beach dunj.

Hammer or Axe? You decide!

We don't want to give everything away, but we would like to reveal one of the new transformation sequences ahead of launch. And we are putting it to a vote!

Have your say on the Kitfox Discord; there is an active poll in #announcements. We will post the winner's transformation video in the next update.

That's all for now and you'll hear from me again soon!

Alexandra
Saboteur - Audam
The Saboteur must sabotage objectives and deliver an item in order to win. Lights can be turned off permanently leaving the Security with only their flashlights to find the Saboteur. The Saboteur on the other hand has nightvision to be able to see everything.

Also updated the Security attack with a proper visual effect and sound. Pew-Pew!
Hero Lodge - Hero Lodge Dev
Rushed a patch to make all resolution options visible even if the game cannot detect that your monitor will support them: if the game thinks it isn't supported it will show as a red button and have a warning tooltip but will still let you try it out. Hit escape to cancel any changes from the options menu if a resolution isn't working.

  • Changed campaign 1 checkpoints to save when exiting a level:
these check points will be cleared if any level is beaten, or
if any other checkpoint is saved.
  • (these types of checkpoints are only present in campaign 1 on normal or easy difficulty)
  • A small flag icon will show on the mission's bar to show there is a checkpoint.
  • Added 2 new higher resolutions in the options menu:
these higher resolutions should only show if your monitor
    is capable of running them.
  • Added new pixel filters for the new resolutions.
  • Options menu will now have a background while in menus to make it easier to read.
  • 1 range skills can move option now has tooltips.
  • All resolutions now have tooltips showing the pixel ratio.
  • Fixed some campaign one checkpoint bugs: turn wasn't updating in top left, some levels
had corner case glitches that should be fixed, etc.
  • Allies that cannot be targeted changed to have purple text name and class on mouse over.

The Tarnishing of Juxtia - EdgyNameHere
Thanks for the feedback everyone! We are listening and have been working on lots of stuff behind the scenes.
For this first patch, we wanted to get out hotfixes that were preventing players from completing the game.

  • Fixed issue when player gets killed as they kill a boss
  • Fixed issue in New Game Plus, where the player does not receive a required item in Verdant Gardens

Project Apocalypse - Sargonius (Dev)
Okay, I switched to notepad from my task tracker and even from the excel table. And it's perfect! Instant task creation and management.

So, fixed a bunch of stuff during the last few days. Removed the production logic from the farm and made it just a building in which you can work inside. The new production system is highly dependent on the production queue and manages the work orders for survivors. And it just doesn't work for farms, which should grow food independently.

27 tasks to go. A lot more will be added during the testing. But some of them are also already done, but I need to test them. Most of the tasks are related to building upgrades that are ready but never were properly tested.

Maybe I'll move shop and garage logic to another patch. Or I can try to implement them in some basic state, who knows 🙂

I'm also failing my internal deadline for the patch (August 1), but that's probably okay. I still have one free day to make a final push.

I like the current speed and the overall process of polishing and improving the existing features and mechanics. I missed that part of my job a lot. Stay tuned! 😉
The Tsar's Secret - otterworldsgames
Hi everyone!
Today we want to talk about the character creation process.
In the beginning, creating the mechanics and ensuring the fun was our main focus. Things such as narrative, characters, or historical setting were put on hold. In fact, it's mainly the Art department that took care of these topics.
The first decision made was about the general artistic direction of the game. We kind of decided it together, but the Art department had more influence on the topic. After, we started creating the main chatacter. There were some fixed concepts that Design needed to have, such as the use of occultist powers, the name of the main character, and his clothing style - influenced by the artistic direction of the game itself - but the rest came from our favourite doodling Concept Art team.

Grigori, our main character.

He’s a double agent and an occultist mage. Cold as a stone, he leaves nothing to chance. Very dark and sexy, we know it. BUT, we have a list of traits you might not expect about him!

"Mainly from his appearance, I think he's a bit of a fanatic for his looks. Always sweeping his hair back and glancing at himself in a reflection. Maybe a bit vain".

I asked Miki what she imagined about Grigori when creating the concept art for the character. These are the sentences she wrote back to me.
"Grigori strikes me as the kind to get very tense about things and cover it up with drinking or some kind of activity. And something that I thought of for him is maybe he's artistic in some aspect. Poetry, painting, music, perhaps gardening".

Just to let you know, the whole Design team acepted that Grigori is a gardener, as a fact. So, now, our dark, misterious and cold ocultist mage is the kind that will silently judge you when you step on the grass of the Palace.

Take a look at these concepts. We were deciding the final look for Grigori. Do you like the final result?

AdventureQuest 3D - Trinhtrin
Hootenheim’s Hirelings
Hedwig Hootenheim, the Battleon branch bank manager, has hired new staff to help at the bank! You can pay for the services of any, or all, of the moglin Bank Helpers or take Hootenheim’s excitable nephew off his hands.

Bank Helpers
Twilly, Twig, and surprisingly Zorbak, have been hired as Bank Helpers at the Battleon Bank. Now you can access the contents of your bank vaults from wherever you are. Each moglin is geared up with a backpack to store… or share?... the contents of your bank vault. Just give them a pat on the head and they’ll give you access.

What about Windsor?
Do an old bank manager a favor and take Windsor off his hands, will you? Hootenheim loves his nephew, but… Windsor is too excited about banking and can be a distraction. Show Hootenheim that you’re a capable adventurer and he’ll gladly hand off Windsor to you as a bank assistant. Though… Hootenheim will want to check in on his nephew from time to time, so Windsor will bring you to Uncle Hootenheim at the bank instead of carrying a backpack with the contents of your bank vault like the moglins do. It’s a win-win!

Shadows on the Vatican - Act II: Wrath - daringtouch

WISHLIST THE GAME NOW!

To celebrate the first anniversary of its spinoff prequel Shadows on the Vatican: Nightingale, we are pleased to announce SHADOWS ON THE VATICAN – ACT III: SLOTH, the highly anticipated next full installment of our classic-styled point-and-click adventure series coming to PC on Steam in 2023.

Corruption dwells in the darkness at the highest levels of the Catholic Church, as a small but powerful cabal is covertly pulling the strings behind the most pivotal aspects of Italian society. In the penultimate act of the four-part religious conspiracy thriller set in Italy, ex-priest James Murphy and the paid assassin named Silvia must put aside their differences and join forces to expose the “Suits” before becoming their latest victims.

Alternating control between James and Silvia, players will explore a variety of beautifully illustrated locations across Rome, which look better than ever thanks to completely restyled hand-drawn graphics and redesigned animations.

And if you are still missing any of the games published so far, the series bundle is on sale!

With this upcoming update players will now be able to play on private servers there are 2 options, Friends only & Private. Friends only will allow you to invite friends via steam to your own instance of the game. Private is essentially single player where no one can bother you.

There are now 3 factions in the game Logger, Miner & Fisher faction. Selling specific items to these factions will reward Exp towards your faction level. An increased level in a faction will yield account-wide bonuses for the said faction. Factions will also play an important role in upcoming updates.

Polling Booths

As an indie developer, the most important thing to me is community say. There are now polling booths around the island of Arcadius, Where players can vote on future content updates, changes, and adjustments to the game. Players can only vote once per account per poll. But they will receive in-game gold for casting their vote. You will be able to see in real-time what the community wants or doesn't want.
