Cascade Tactics - Mythic Machine
I expanded the number of available resolutions down to 1280 x 720. You can even play lower, but there may be some small UI issues.

Reactivated a feature that sped up AI processing time.

Fixed issue where some menus would not scroll down if you were using a controller.

Crossout - XO_Team

Hello, survivors!

With the 0.13.80 update, we have added a new audio track for the garage in Crossout, recorded specifically for the “Big chase” event. In case you haven’t had time to evaluate it yet, you can do it right now, and then share your impressions in the comments.
Link for audio track Rust and Sand

During our official livestreams, we couldn’t help but notice how many of you liked the sound effects of the launch and rocket flight of the new rocket artillery “RA-1 Heather”. We’d like to take this opportunity to ask you for your opinion regarding the sound effects of other new parts introduced in the new season.

But this is not all! You can also share your opinions, comments and suggestions about any other sound effects and audio tracks in Crossout. We will read all the comments and try to take into account some of your suggestions when working on future new parts or when updating the existing sound effects.

Hello Prospectors!

It is time for the next update. Patch 1.3.8 is here, and we have a bunch of fixes and changes for you. Huh, 1.3.8? Didn’t we skip a few numbers? Yes and no.Some stuff is too small for a full patch, like quick hotfixes and ninja updates that don’t require maintenance. Those still get a version number though, hence the discrepancy between the last patch and this one. Hope that’ll clear up some confusion!

Anyhow, let’s just dive right into those patch notes!

Changes
  • We have reduced some of the PVP mission requirements.
  • Kills required in the adjusted missions now require 1 or 2 fewer victims.
  • A similar change to PvE: we have tweaked some of the numbers for mid and late-game hunting missions.
  • Epic Shield: Reduced Smart Mesh and Hardened Bone Plates requirement from 3 to 2.
  • Laser Drill Beacon: Reduced Smart Mesh requirement from 4 to 2.
  • After further analyzing our data on PvP encounters, the maximum number of players active on an instance has been reduced by 1, for both maps.
  • We have tinkered with our matchmaking to protect fresh players better and to increase the challenge for good squad players. This adjustment will also slightly adjust the experience for good solo players.
  • We’ve given Jeff, our beloved Marauder, a brand-new attack. Watch out for his antics.
  • Players in the tutorial will now wear blue armor instead of green armor. A dead recruit isn’t a great recruit after all.
  • Weapon Adjustments
    • Bulldog: Increased spread by 30%.
    • Advocate: Reworked the recoil pattern.
    • Horizontal recoil does not go back and forth like a feral animal anymore.
    • Kor-47: Reduced initial vertical recoil. Vertical recoil is more consistent.
    • ASP Flechette Gun: Reduced horizontal recoil. Vertical recoil is slightly increased for the second half of the magazine.
    • Voltaic Brute: Reduced horizontal recoil. Vertical recoil is slightly increased for the second half of the magazine.
Some additional words from our Creative Director Daze on the state of balancing:

"Where are we in terms of balancing at the moment? In general, we see that people are starting to use late-game gear increasingly, as we get further into the season (great!).We also see that the better the gun and armor, the more likely you are to win a fight (by quite a bit). This data is a bit tricky to interpret, as it is muddled, somewhat, by the fact that the better gun you have, the more experienced in the game you are likely to be - but:Overall, we are getting to a spot where guns perform roughly as we would want them to, where:
  • If you have higher-tier gear, you are significantly more likely to win a fight...
  • ...but not by so much that a player with grey gear has zero chance even when outsmarting their opponent
What we are tuning weapons-wise for this patch is the recoil of late-game guns, making them slightly less "across the board unruly" (what we want is more of a mix in each tier of different recoil behaviors). When it comes to armor and pricing, we are making Epic armor slightly easier to craft. We want to be in a place (once again, it is a tough balance to strike!) where:
  • Late-game players do take their top-tier gear into raids...
  • ...but not always (we do not want it to be a no-brainer either)
Basically: We want it to be a tactical choice, when and if to bring what gear, also at late-tier play.(Of course, a big deterrent from going in with the most expensive gear is getting killed by a cheater - more on that below.) Let us know what you think and keep the feedback coming!"

Bugfixes
  • We have fixed an exploit in the final area of the Crusher Caverns.
  • Fixed some specific cases where the audio profile of a player did not reset when exiting a cave.
  • Fixed an issue where a Crusher’s projectile would just remain stuck on them after being shot in their weak spot. The pain dishing will resume appropriately.
  • Fixed an issue with the pathfinding of Striders. They finally learned to read a map.
  • Fixed an issue that would appear when skipping Tech Tree upgrades.
  • Fixed an issue where sounds just disappeared, like the cries of a helpless Prospector lost in the vacuum of space.
  • Improved server performance and applied a fix for server crashes. Your overall experience should be smoother now.
  • A couple more fixes were applied previously, so just in case you’ve missed them:
  • Players who owned the Ronin in the previous version of the game will now have access to all their outfit pieces.
  • Players who owned the Troublemaker in the previous version of the game will now have access to all their outfit pieces.
MISC
  • After reviewing our data, we have reduced some detection thresholds for our internal anti-cheat measures. Reducing these thresholds means the security gets tightened.
Known Issues
  • The Biker Queen image shows black hair, though she has white hair.
  • A Player Quarter upgrade may take longer than expected, this can take up to 24h longer than usual.
  • We have changed the Player Support tool in the game already, but it is currently not possible to send us tickets on the website.
Finally, we’d like to share a quick update on something Daze mentioned above (you folks in here most likely have seen the cheater dev update video already):

https://youtu.be/BWqObcONL6w
We are currently working on a lot of improvements on the anti-cheat front, as outlined in the video below. We recommend giving it a quick watch if you haven’t yet. The compensation feature is on a good track and we are looking into some additional methods to provide an experience as tedious as possible for cheaters and RMT folks alike.

Core Keeper - Bridie
Did you know that we added six new enemies to the game as part of our first major content update, The Sunken Sea? And that’s not including bosses! With so many new mobs joining the Core Keeper roster, we thought it was time to expand our Creature Compendium. You can read parts one and two first if you fancy it, for a detailed overview of the enemies you know and love, or you can start right here and find out about the…

Bubble Crab
Location: Sunken Sea Biome
Attacks: Ranged bubble attack

The Bubble Crab is probably one of the first enemies you’ll encounter in the Sunken Sea biome, but don’t expect a warm welcome. This naughty crustacean is quick to attack any Explorers that cross its path. Keeping your distance can help, but the Bubble Crab does boast a ranged attack that you’ll want to watch out for – as the name suggests, it shoots a flurry of bubbles from its mouth. Not only do these bubbles deal damage, but they also apply the slippery effect to the player, making your movement much less manageable!

Here’s a fun fact, the Bubble Crab was inspired by one of Julian, our Lead Artist’s, concepts for a four-legged insect that could have appeared in Azeos’ Wilderness. This design eventually got repurposed for the Sunken Sea biome, but you can see the concept art for the early design below.

Tentacle
Location: Sunken Sea Biome (water only)
Attacks: Uses jellyfish as projectiles, and will strike the player if you get too close

By now, you’ll probably be familiar with the Mold Tentacles in the Mold Dungeon, and we’re sure you’ve enjoyed their pesky attacks. Well, we’re pleased to report that there’s another species of Tentacle native to the Sunken Sea biome, and it is just as friendly and fun to deal with (we really hope that our sarcasm is coming through here).

The Tentacles within the Sunken Sea biome can be found in the water only…but that doesn’t mean that you’re entirely safe once you’re on land, as these naughty creatures have been known to hug the shores and shoot jellyfish for a frustrating ranged attack. They’re also prepared to strike Explorers that get a little too close for comfort, and will take a whack even when you’re just passing by in your boat! While they’re not particularly hardy, they are a nuisance, and they can be a real problem when several band together in the same area.

Blue Slime
Location: Sunken Sea Biome
Attacks: Melee only

Like the passive Orange Slime, the aggressive Red Slime, and the poison Purple Slime, the Blue Slime has one primary method of attack: tackling any Explorers that get too close. These Slimes are native to the Sunken Sea Biome and will attack on sight, dealing damage and applying the slippery effect on its enemies for roughly 10 seconds. They also leave behind Slippery Ground Slime that has the same effect on the player’s movement. While they’re not too difficult to defeat, as they’re relatively easy to dodge, we advise you to watch out for groups of Blue Slimes and make sure you don’t find yourselves backed into any corners.

Caveling Scholar
Location: Forlorn Metropolis
Attacks: Melee and ranged using a staff

Caveling Scholars are a much more advanced version of the Cavelings you may have encountered in the past. They dwell in the Forlorn Metropolis and provide a slightly more accurate representation of Caveling society than the isolated and primitive Cavelings you can find in the Forgotten Ruins.

Much like the Caveling Shaman, Caveling Scholars use a staff as their weapon of choice, and they can make both a melee and ranged attack with this. While the Shaman shoots a ball of fire, the Scholar shoots a ball of pure energy at the player, and this attack packs a serious punch. It’s not just the Scholar’s attacks you need to be wary of, though, as this Caveling also has the ability to heal other Scholars and its Core Sentry companions.

Core Sentry
Location: Forlorn Metropolis
Attacks: Energy shockwaves (ranged) and a nasty kick!

You wouldn’t be blamed for mistaking the Core Sentry for a statue at first, as these giant golems fit in nicely with the décor of the Forlorn Metropolis. In fact, you may even come across an inactive Sentry first and let your guard down, only to be spooked when one of these statues suddenly springs to life further into the Metropolis.

Core Sentries were built as powerful guards, designed to protect the Forlorn Metropolis and all who dwelled within it. These stone automatons have continued with their duties long after the collapse of the Caveling society. They typically shoot three energy balls at a time – and these can break through any destructibles that an Explorer may be taking cover behind – making dodging their attacks a lot more challenging. Taking them on in melee combat is also dangerous, as a Core Sentry won’t think twice before kicking you!

Shrooman
Location: The Dirt Biome
Attacks: With an adorable charge

Have you come across any patches of Fungal Soil in the Dirt Biome lately? You might be thinking you’ve hit a mushroom gold mine here, but watch out. If you go mushroom picking, a mushroom might just try to pick a fight with you! The Shrooman is a brand-new enemy introduced to the Dirt biome following The Sunken Sea Update. This enemy wasn’t originally planned, but after we created the Fungal Soil Ground Cover to help players farm mushrooms, we thought it would be fun for this terrain to also spawn little mushroom people too!

Shrooman are possibly one of the cutest enemies in Core Keeper, and their clumsy charge attacks make it hard to find them particularly threatening. These critters are aggressive and will attack you the minute you cross their paths, but they find it difficult to change their trajectory once they start moving, so a well-timed dodge makes them easy to avoid. They’ll crop up wherever there’s Fungal Soil, so you may want to dig it up if you find there are too many Shrooman spawning near your base in the Dirt biome.

And there you have it, Explorers! A whole new batch of baddies for you to tackle. Of course, there are also two new bosses hidden away in the Sunken Sea biome, and we may touch upon Morpha and Omoroth in another boss-exclusive Steam post later on. Until then, why not discuss your enemy defeating strategies over on the Core Keeper Discord?

Made some changes to the music import function to solve the problem that some users may not be able to import music.

Currently imported music formats are supported by default: mp3, ogg, wav, flac. But the import function actually supports most of the commonly used music formats. When importing music, you can select all files in the file filter option to display other format files you want to import, and test whether the format is supported. If it is not a commonly used or unsupported music format, you can use conversion software to convert it to a commonly used format and then import it.
