We will start server suspension and delete all character data at 12:00 on July 15th, Beijing time. We are welcoming you to the new Glory Season! The top players of last season have earned their rewards and titles, so it's time to once again start the cyclic competition and fight your way to the top of the new season’s ladder!
As you already know, we are working on reshaping a game world map, and we are happy to share the first preview of the new capital cities layout. We will say some more about that down below, in a short Work in Progress section.
Other than that, we are introducing a new minigame for taming horses and adding some fixes to the recently updated fishing minigame. In the meantime, the majority of our team works on long-term tasks which we describe below.
We also acquired a mocap suit, and recorded a few easy animations, for example, a new stall and sitting animation, already implemented in the game, and animation for horse taming, that you are receiving today. We are learning quickly, and soon we will be able to add many more dedicated animations, emotes, and moves.
Every two weeks, we are also making a small community breakdown, rewarding our content creators and active members of the community with Ambers, and promoting their content on our social media hubs. Thank you for spreading the word about Gloria Victis, and helping our community to grow!

Work in Progress Insight
Reshaping the game world
We are slowly moving to the end of one of the biggest tasks that we decided to complete this year: moving capital cities to the edges of the map and introducing more space for PVP and PVE in the middle of the map. As we said earlier, we also want to introduce some changes in guild content, create new layers of zones, and give more players possibilities to play as they want.
As it may be already visible, we do not want to push new players to those dangerous zones. This is why we are creating Starting Islands around capital cities, linking the initial questlines with the ones from lumber mills, mines, and farms. Thanks to such a solution, and separating starting quest areas from the rest of the game world, we will also be able to introduce a very convenient “Teleport to Quest” feature. It was impossible with the current map layout, as players would use such a feature to have an additional teleport bypassing the fast travel limits. Having a separate island for quests is giving us more freedom and possibilities to increase new player retention, prepare newcomers better for the global conquest, and ultimately – open PVP in loot zones.
As we know how important it is to have someone around to help, guide or simply talk to while questing, we will create special PVE zones on the quests island. People who want to safely farm resources, recipes, or gold, will be able to spend time on these Starting Islands, doing various raids or events, intertwined around the questline of new players (in the style of bandage quest, i.e. "secrets of ..."). This will allow you not only to earn something but also to interact with, help, or recruit new players.
As we already have the ability to host the biggest events on separate machines (VoD tournaments!) – we will be able to greatly increase the server's performance, by dividing the game world of each server into three clusters. This way the starting islands, tournaments, and the rest of the game world will become separate areas, between which players will be able to transfer with a short loading screen, like when fast traveling or unstucking.
Overall, we believe those changes will positively impact various aspects of the game, ensure better player experience and retention, and allow our community to grow. Later we will tell you some more about how we want to improve State of War Events and Guild content, so stick with us and stay tuned!

New Glory Season
The new Glory Season starts now! Each player who became Arena Master or earned the God of War title in the ending season will receive unique, signed swords as a souvenir. Additionally, players from the top of the ranking list receive proper gold rewards and titles. Beyond fame and respect, there are many reasons to push your way to the top! We’re planning to deliver all rewards in the next 48 hours, so please, stay patient.
A little explanation for the new players: Glory is a season-based ranking that rewards you for activity in the faction v faction v faction PVP. The seasons last 2 months and are rewarded with unique titles, as well as gold. Also, every Thursday night you’ll get Contribution Points – an in-game currency used to purchase special items from the Glory Quartermasters. The amount of earned CP depends on your position on the leaderboard, so climb up!
Quality of Life & Fixes:
Mount Taming Minigame
Along with the new Mount Taming animation, we are introducing the next minigame in Gloria Victis, dedicated to this activity. The newly introduced minigame for horse taming is a variation of the minigame known from fishing. Players will be able to click the correct direction as fast as they can in order to boost their chances to find a decent mount. You have 20 seconds to build as high combo as possible, but be aware that a wrong click resets it! We can't wait to see the high scores achieved by our Community!

– Fixed unique chests on Valley of Death events and added them to the Midland theme VoD map. – Fixed wrong filter setting for Knights long ax. – Fixed an issue causing desynchro in fishing minigames. – Fixed the issue where fishing minigame UI could stay on the screen when the minigame was active during transfer to Valley of Death Tournament. – Fixed an issue causing burning banners in questlines to have displaced fire and smoke particles – [QoL] Added grubs and beetles as possible rewards for completing Fishing Stock events.

The moment is finally here! Garden gnomes have been assembled, and aliens have become extra grumpy. Treefender is in Early access now!
What to expect from the current version (v0.4944)
Players can host a room with an unique code and share this with others to invite them. We’ll replace this with player typed names which will be remembered by the game, so you don’t have to copy/paste codes all the time.
Right now, there’s one level: “Neighbourhood" which gives us a good testing ground for new and improved features and stress testing the game.
There’s some secrets hidden in the neigbourhood. Aside from “shrooms" which you can grab to get a koinz boost, there’s also some red and blue ammo pouches hidden with unique slingshot pebble ammo types:
Exploding pebble Devastating explosion on impact. Very good for destroying multiple enemies at once, or demolishing your treefort..
Ultra pebble Shoots very far, and fast. One shots enemies.
Enemies
The rustic neighbourhood is soon disturbed by UFO’s dropping of their grumpy passengers. They come in waves, and each wave has a duration. Didn’t kill all enemies in time? Tough luck! New wave incoming!
Right now we have two enemy types:
Grunt Basic allround unit. They have a medium move and attack speed, and can be killed with 4 or 5 shots.
Artillery These green squids might look funny, but beware: they shoot a devastating artillery shell which shatters treefort and treefender.. Not to worry though: aim well with you slingshot and the shell will explode mid air!
Research
We’ve implemented a research system which allows you to research new buildobjects, stations and gameplay features. For now, now there’s not a lot to research still, and the researchtree is messy, but this will soon change when we introduce new buildobjects!
Gameplay
Will you research and invest in gardengnomes for an explosive experience? Be more of a hunter/gatherer and search for all the special ammo? Or are you more of a pacifist and build a ladder to heaven to completely avoid combat? We’re curious to see all the scenarios you think of!

Known issues
The ultra pebble trajectory preview when aiming the slingshot doesn’t match up, so aiming is a bit difficult. It shoots pretty straight over quite a distance, so just try to ignore the trajectory preview atm.
We’ve done a lot of coding and testing for the enemies. As you might expect, synchronizing a lot of enemies and their individual health and orders in a multiplayer game, is quite a challenge. Though we think they already work quite well, expect more optimizations for them in the future. Enemies don’t make sound when shooting, so bullets are difficult to spot. Also we’ve seen healthbars not synching correctly.
Falling damage works sometimes. And sometimes you suddenly die when hitting a branch. We’ve reduced the amount of branch deaths, but they are not zero yet. Be careful out there..
Buildobjects might turn red and not yellow anymore. Workaround is selecting a different one from the menu, and then selecting it again.
Buildobjects might say they intersect and won’t place while that’s actually not true. Climbable rung has a bad habit of doing this.
Steam player names don’t update yet. Everybody is now called Playername. “Hello Playername!”
Where to next?
For now, after a long period of getting things ready for early access, we’re going to sit back and watch for a bit. I’ll do my best to respond to questions and remarks though. There’s also some holidays planned.
Expect new updates starting September, where we’ll focus more on decorations to build and enemy behaviour. We’ll also start sketching out level 2, which will swap the cozy neighbourhood for a rocky pine forest!
We hope you enjoy and have as much fun as we did developing and testing out Treefender so far. The adventure is really starting now, and I’m super excited to see what you’ll do with Treefender and how it will grow!
Today we wanted to discuss the universe within The Galactic Junkers. Based on our own universe, there’s a vast galaxy to explore with interesting things to discover in each one.
Here is a bit more information about some of the planets in the game's universe. Of course, this isn't them all, we want to give players some surprises to explore and discover too!
Mars Station is the heart of the Union, where High Command controls the system with an iron fist. The Union is the largest faction in the solar system and is constantly fighting the pirates in all their forms all the while wearing cool red and black leather and wearing sweet official looking hats and helmets.
Venus Station is another one of the Union sectors, it is famous for being the home of Eclipse Space Munch. The advertising slogan “When you can’t find a sandwich, Eclipse Space Munch will do” has made Space Munch the food of choice for most of humanity, many of whom have never even seen a sandwich, let alone tasted one.
Moving through Saturn, you'll discover the Saturnians captured their station from the Union a few years ago and now protect their space ferociously, if you ever visit be sure to bring a heavy laz weapon on overload as a present as the Saturnians take no prisoners.
Not many ships ever voyage to Pluto. The Plutonians have grown strange out there and no one really knows what they look like under their helmets anymore, just that they breathe in a weird green gas to survive.
Orbiting the Planet Uranus, The Uranite pirates run a tight ship there. Discipline is their watchword and they love nothing more than writing up a good Captain’s Log to peruse on those nights when being out in the middle of nowhere gets a little boring.
Visiting Mercury can be a risky endeavor, The Mercs are crazy. It is believed the heat and engine fumes get into their heads. High Queen Vanir rules this sweaty part of space and loves her 80s memorabilia.
Neptune Station is the royal court of the Neptunian Queen. Watch your manners there, they love formality even when they are blowing you out of an airlock into the vacuum of space.
That’s not all, there are many more wonderful places to visit; if you’re feeling flush with cash, there’s the Titan, the most expensive cruise liner ever built, it screams luxury and doesn’t smell like an armpit, or if you find yourself on the other side of the law. They say the Star Cube is the most secure prison station in the Union, so that might be worth a visit, though if you do go there you probably don’t have a choice.
TOP TIP When traveling the solar system, always remember, Derelict spacecraft are brilliant sources of scrap and supplies, Cookie Cutters will eat anything and In these troubling times, whenever your tummy rumbles, reach for an Eclipse Space Munch bar, and go forth, brave adventurer!
