The game will now periodically create backup save files in your save folder. In the event that you lose your save file, you can manually restore using a backup save file.
Here is how to restore a backup save:
Quit the game
Navigate to \Users\[yourname]\AppData\LocalLow\Little Flag Software, LLC\Neon White\[YourSteamID]\
If you have a file savedata.dat, rename it to something else just in case.
Wow! It's been a while since our last significant update to Lightsmith, but we've been working away to bring new content and improvements to this cosy little crafting game of ours. We didn't mean for it to be this long a wait, and we're really sorry for that, but we hope it's worth it for all the new goodies we've added.

Feedback and Bug Reports
The best place to give us feedback and report bugs is on our Discord. We're active and involved in our community there so if you have Discord please consider joining! Bugs are more likely to be fixed when they are reported on the Discord.
Based on initial feedback, it seems like the game is MUCH too hard, so that is being addressed here. It is intended to be only moderately difficult in the current state, and will eventually have some difficulty scaling options for extra challenge.
Changes:
-Enemies are now significantly dumber across the board -Added new shop art -Fixed a bug that would slow down time when the player presses certain number keys(leftover artifact from development cheat codes).
This patch contains some cool visuals & more transcendence upgrades - the next content update is scheduled for next Wednesday, but I'll try to get the missing 3 kings content out by the weekend ahead of it.

BALANCE
TRANSCENDENCE SKILLTREE COST ADJUSTMENTS STATION BRANCHES: Start cheap and increase considerably > Start cheap and increase considerably more CONTROLS BRANCH: Cheap > Cheaper
ARCHERY SKILLTREE Costs shifted away from max time multiplier and into the nodes that make each other a billion times more powerful if you have 80% of them at the same time and you really shouldn't be getting that in the early game and that really breaks things and *BREATHES* go buy those discount upgrades
MINOR FIXES
Fixed bugs that didn't make it to the live version. You weren't there, you wouldn't get it.
Just a quick update to balance Thor AP amount and to address Windows 7. Please note that officially Windows 7 is not supported and will never be. I will try my best to keep it compatible as long as I can, but eventually the day will come for us to let it go.

On release, I had a lot of complaints from players about bugs and crashes. As I said, I aim to have a bug-free experience as soon as possible.
Logging
I added a form of logging in this version. I also added code guards to multiple actions in the game so that we can catch errors when they happen and log them
IMPORTANT: If the game crashes, definitely report it and attach the log file, which is simply a '.txt' file created by the game that will tell me more about what caused the problem. To find the logs, go to the game folder then to "assets/data/Logs" and find the latest log (should look like 2022-07-14_02-34-51.txt).
Bugfixes
- Fixed sound and full-screen mode not being saved. - Fixed some more issues with the game resolution (full-screen is still in beta; please report any issues with it!) - Fixed invalid discord button link - Fixed (possibly) multiple crashes. I added some extra code guards to prevent crashes from happening, or at least see what the problem is (see Logging above) - Fixed some loading screen messages overlapping with the logo
