Ready to revisit the summertime horrors of The Quarry with your friends and outfit the playable counselors in a retro style? Today's update to The Quarry includes the new online multiplayer mode called Wolf Pack, which lets a host player invite up to seven friends with access to the game so the whole group can vote on key decisions. How will your Wolf Pack fare when confronted with danger in The Quarry?
'80s Throwback Character Outfits DLC are also now available for owners of the Deluxe Edition of The Quarry, and are available for separate purchase. Now your counselors' attire can capture the tubular 'tude of the 1980s, letting you look totally rad as you run for your life.
Here's a complete list of the changes included with this update:
Added the new online multiplayer mode, “Wolf Pack”, an invite-only mode where the host can invite up to seven friends with access to the game to vote on key decisions to create a story shaped by the whole group
'80s Throwback Character Outfits DLC now available for owners of the Deluxe Edition of The Quarry, and are available for separate purchase
Fixes for "Hard Pass" and "Should've Gone to the Motel" Achievements
This is just a quick announcement to let everyone know that we will be shutting down the CTE (Community Test Environment) app in the next 48 hours.
Although it has helped us with broader playtesting in the past, the concept of a separate app generates too much player confusion that can't really be worked around. As an example, it is impossible to simply shut down the CTE app when not in use (prompting many new players to ask which app they should play), and something as simple as putting up any kind of notice (e.g. to let players know if CTE is in use or not) requires Valve personnel to do it.
In addition, we noticed that the vast majority of players would immediately migrate to CTE once a new test version was released, leaving the main install mostly deserted — which rendered the benefit of having two separate apps that players could alternate between null. Many players also had issues with app visibility, and so on.
As a result, future playtesting will be done using the (relatively) new Steam Playtest (which works much like a separate app, but without the issues we were having with CTE) or simply via a separate Beta branch of the main app, usually accessed via password. We will be looking into both of these options before making a decision, and possibly trying them both out.
So if you notice GROUND BRANCH CTE dropping from your library, don't panic! We're just trying to make playtesting more straightforward in the future.

I want to thank you all who are supporting this project, it keeps me motivated to continue to work on Tales From The Cache!
So as you all know Summer is the best time in the year (that's debatable to some!), but on hot days it's hard to work when the weather is inviting to go outside and explore nature, get some fresh ideas for the game. During the Summer TFTC development is slowed down tremendously, but in Autumn/Winter time it will get back to the normal development cycle.
The Devil's Pit (Velnio duobė)
I want to share with you all what I've been working on, from a graphics perspective the forest and the whole biome were revamped and upgraded to fit the geo location of Lithuania (this is where the game map is based), and new places to search/explore and find new caches.
Sigma complex
New puzzles to solve (improved previous ones). Game-breaking bugs also were addressed. For the 1.0.0.5 update I'been working on 3 new locations on the map, abandoned Sigma relaxation complex, Kaunas VIII fort, and Devil's Pit they all have been inspired by real-life locations and it has some resemblance to real ones.
Improved car behavior at low FPS, improved wheel collisions with vegetation so that the car does not bounce from fir branches. Possibly fixed a rare bug with falling through the ground when disembarking from a car. Improved mechanism for saving auto recovery locations. Other.
