The repaired and optimized parts are as follows:



1. Text display of the opening UI, base dialogue information and other parts, and picture definition improvement;

2. Increased the laser aiming of pistols and rifles;

3. Added "System Settings", including: moving mode (following the direction of the handle, following the direction of the head, smooth rotation), on-off transient, picture quality Settings, volume Settings, handle vibration switch, support for different types of handles, etc.

4. Missing collision bug in some scenes (resulting in falling into space)

5. "Prologue" added 4 instant resurrection dormancy pods. You will be resurrected in the nearest dormancy pod immediately after you die (no need to start from scratch!). ;

Outcore will be released during the second half of September. A more specific and final date will be revealed sometime during August

Development news
Chapter 4 is done, which means Outcore is kinda content complete. It's still missing some music and sound effects; otherwise, the game can be played from start to finish.

Cool, now what?
In a couple of days, I'll release chapter 4 to the internal testers. After that, I'll focus on stabilizing chapter 4 and the rest of the game. During whatever time remains I'll try to further polish the game, and put more effort into marketing it.

Tokyo Game Show
Outcore will participate in Tokyo Game Show! This is one of the biggest gaming conventions in the WORLD!
It's an honor to be able to present Outcore at such a big convention. It requires physical presence, so I'll attend TGS in person to showcase the game.

If you ever wanted to play Outcore on my greasy laptop's keyboard or just spit in my face, that's gonna be your only chance. Come say hi!

Another convention
I lied about TGS being your only chance to spit in my face.
Outcore has also been accepted into another physical gaming convention in Japan! I can't tell you what it is though because... Uhm... I was told not to. But that convention will post an announcement of its own in a couple of days. After that, I'll be able to announce Outcore's participation.

I won't bother your Steam feed with another announcement in such a short time, so instead, I'll post it on the game's Twitter page, which you should totally follow for any other small announcements

This is Shaul, but nobody calls him that. We usually just call him Shulu. Sometimes, we go even further beyond and call him PATUTU. He's such a good boy, he's scared of his own shadow and loves to eat ropes, laces, strings, and poisonous house plants. Also if you try to lift him you'll quickly learn how it feels to hug an active chainsaw

And now, the next cat... is Jiji

This is not a real cat. It's a 100% lump of fat that is shaped to resemble a cat. He likes suckling on a piece of cloth even though he's over 2 years old (which is about 70 billion in Outcore years). He's afraid of water guns for some reason too!

I love my cats.

Leaderboard
A leaderboard is now available for the new Adventure game mode. It shows all time records as well as records set only in the last 7 days.

Also, some Adventure mode related bugs were fixed.

All changes:
  • Adventure mode leaderboard is now available
  • half tiles from boxes modifier now works correctly
  • missing modifier description added
  • fixed a bug that made activating Zen Mode in other game modes possible
  • Zen Mode doesn't have a lighthouse button anymore
  • fixed a case where you could end an Adventure level without marking it as completed
  • saving an adventure level and continuing it twice doesn't break the game now
  • modifiers in Adventure mode now save and load correctly

after a longer break we have an update today. Especially we have fixed some bugs. Thank you for your contributions! But we also have a little surprise for you.

A new ride: Prism
Included in the latest update is a new free ride. It's a classic.


Bugfixes
  • Brakes were misbehaving on many rides
  • Parts of custom themes did reset when changing the window
  • When activating Strobo, the logo running light was not turned off
  • At the "Rising Sun" the light sources were placed a bit behind the light boxes
  • On the "Rising Sun" a few running light caps were missing on the back wall
  • At the "Rising Sun" the spotlights at the deco-parts were not deactivated
  • At the "Rising Sun" and "Forge" the theming was not applied correctly on the ticket booth
  • At the "Hurricane" the red tail lights were not deactivated when the strobo was activated
  • At the "Chopper" the cashier was not positioned correctly
  • On "Kraken" the cross motors were too weak in some situations

Other
  • Added: VSync + FPS Limit options
  • Improved: Brakes should now respond a bit smoother and not so jerky
  • Improved: Microphone now next to the control panel when "forging"
  • Improved: Chaser cameras at the "Forge" have been repositioned.
