Has it really been seven years already? Guess it’s finally time to face the music… and celebrate our anniversary with a new LTE, Birthday Ball! The festivities will include two weeks of fun with Heatseeker and Knockout LTMs, elegant Anniversary outfits available in the Item Shop, Birthday Ball Challenges and rewards, plus the ultimate gift exchange: Golden Eggs.

Birthday Ball Modes
WEEK 1

Jump into a chaotic match of 2v2 Heatseeker and go head-to-head July 6 - 13. This crowd-favorite LTM gives the ball special homing abilities, so it will always gravitate towards your opponent's goal.

WEEK 2

Knockout returns July 13 - 19! Use the unique Attack, Block, and Grab mechanics to fling players out of the Quadron, Carbon, and Calavera Arenas. If you need a refresher, here’s a quick run-through. Just remember, the last car standing wins.

Birthday Ball Challenges
This anniversary isn’t just about us; it’s about the players and community who helped grow Rocket League over the past seven years. Here’s to you! As a token of thanks, finishing all the Birthday Ball Challenges will net players a total of 300 Credits!

In addition to credits, players will earn the Golden Goat Player Banner and Precious Metal Avatar Border when completing Challenges. Other challenges will reward players with timeless rewards like an Import Item Drop or 20,000 XP.



Wear Your Birthday Best
The Item Shop will be selling dapper new Anniversary items, so suit up for merrymaking with the Titanium White Fennec and Fancy Formal Fennec Decal!

In the spirit of Season 7, two new golden items will also be available. Flash your cash with the Spyder: Anniversary Edition Wheels or Top Hat: Anniversary Edition Topper. These glorious golden Items will pair perfectly with your newest Rocket Pass rewards!

The Gift Of Golden Eggs
What’s a birthday without presents? Throughout Birthday Ball, players can earn Golden Eggs to unlock Items from the Champions Series 1-4. Golden Eggs work just like previous Golden rewards⁠—complete the Challenge up to five times to earn Golden Eggs, then open them in your Inventory to unlock items!

We've uploaded another update for Bone's Cafe! The biggest new feature in this update is Cafe Layouts which are save and loadable from the pause menu, you can have up to 10. You can also use this to quickly clear out the cafe of furniture and minions with the press of a button. We also fixed a pesky "phantom corpse" bug that caused corpses to sometimes be unable to be picked up.

New Features
  • Cafe layouts: You can now save, load and delete cafe layouts. Feel free to create Test kitchen layouts, Desert Cafe layouts, and Customer Harvesting layouts.
  • Statistics Page: Starting now your game will record the statistics of each dish you’ve served, each order you’ve failed, and each customer you’ve harvested.
  • New Cafe themes available: Regal, Strawberry and Horror cafe themes are now available in the Cafe Themes option in the pause menu.

Changes
  • Hints page: View the hints & tips page in the hub menu to see some helpful tips. This page has been updated to include more hints and short videos to demonstrate the hints.
  • Cafe themes now have different chair sprites.
  • Servers now get assigned tasks based on their proximity to the tasks, this makes them much more efficient.
  • Added a confirmation step to deleting a file to help prevent accidental file deletes.
  • Added playtester names to credits.
  • Fixed some recipes that were missing ingredients
  • Corpse detection has been change to make sure furniture blocks the line of sight of a corpse, but when the corpse is picked up by a player, the corpse can be detected by line of sight past furniture (because it is held up in the air above the furniture).

Bugs Squashed
  • Fixed phantom corpses (unable to pick up corpses).
  • Fixed player speed being higher while running diagonally.
  • Fixed steam animation on cooking stations sometimes getting reset constantly by minions.
  • Fixed an issue with minions and customers getting stuck on edges of furniture sometimes.
  • Fixed recipe book showing wrong descriptions on recipes sometimes.
  • Fixed a bug with the poison station sprite not updating correctly when switching cafe themes.
  • Fixed invisible deluxe burger combination.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the player from scrolling the fridge to the right while controlling a chef.

Say hello at the Amazon Games booth either day or come to the LAN area on Saturday, July 16 for thrilling Expeditions, grueling PvP matches, and New World’s first Arenas tournament — the New World PvP Arena Open. Complete activities in any game mode to win prizes. Each New World setup will feature pre-set characters, making it easy to pick up and play your favorite weapon build.

Summer Event Cache Twitch Drop


The Summer Event Cache Twitch Drop includes instruments, a fishing rod, and summer event tokens.
To claim the drop, viewers must watch 4 hours of New World on a Twitch Channel with the drops enabled. Once earned, players can claim their skin through the ‘Item Claim’ tab found within the in-game store after the content update that introduces the Summer Medleyfaire. If you haven’t done so already, make sure your Twitch account is linked to your Amazon Games and Steam accounts. You can find the steps you need to follow on our Twitch Drops page.

The Summer Event Cache will be available as a Twitch Drop until August 8, so make sure to tune into your favorite New World content creator with drops enabled before then! This Drop is available for all content creators to enable in the New World category.

New World PvP Arena Open


The New World PvP Arena Open is a 16 team, single elimination tournament in the game’s new 3v3 Arena mode. Follow the instructions on the registration page to secure a spot for your team, then practice different weapon combinations for a better shot at the grand prize. All players must be 18 or older to compete. Check out the official rules for more details.

Prizes
Every New World PvP Arena participant will receive a New World pin. Progress deeper into the event for additional pin colors and greater prizes*.

First Place
The first place team will win a trip to TwitchCon San Diego including:

Colt Canyon - Retrific


Howdy fellow gunslingers!
It took a bit longer than expected but it is finally here: Update 1.2 is now available! At least on Steam, GOG, PlayStation and Xbox. Switch and some other stores will need to wait until early next week. Not a lot of new content this time but a lot of balancing changes and of course the biggest new feature ever yet: Quit and Continue!

A savegame feature is something many have been waiting for, because depending on your playstyle a run can easily take more than an hour to complete. And some people just don't have this time. So, with this feature I am trying to better value your time and allow new players with less time on their hands to still enjoy the game to the fullest. Additionally the save feature will also allow another type of player to enjoy the game by cheating their way through the canyon. Good old save scumming. It's something that is very much possible, even though I did not implement a no-permadeath mode (yet?) but I am not giving any instructions right now. More on that in the wiki.



Additionally patch 1.2 also brings a lot of balancing changes, changes to shell weapons and of course a load of bug fixes. Oh, and yea, a lot of work was also done in the background, porting the game to the latest version of its engine, which is critical to keep supporting Colt Canyon in the future.

Oh, and one note to everyone who alread tested the unstable version: Other than expected Colt Canyon will stay a 32-bit application for now, as some functionality wouldn't have been supported in 64-bit. This does not impact anything really though. Just a side-note.

Big changes:
  • Save game support! Yep, you can now save progress and resume any time.
  • Switched to a new engine version hopefully fixing a lot of old bugs that couldnt be fixed otherwise but possibly also introducing new ones that can be fixed once reported
  • Please note: User progress is not backwards compatible! (If upgrading to 1.2 do not go back to 1.1 or you might lose your unlocks and stats)

Balancing changes:
  • Adjusted bullet logic for shell weapons (shotguns), also buffed some of the shotguns in general, like the pumpgun, and adjusted damage values and falloff distances for all shell weapons
  • Buffed most throw weapons and reduced their melee cooldown but decreased melee damage
  • Slightly reduced health of bear boss and bandit boss and slightly increased slaver boss' health
  • Increased explosion size of explosive weapons
  • Increased amount of items found in loops
  • Reduced revolving rifle reload speed
  • Buffed Eagle's bow reload speed but nerfed bonus damage
  • Nerfed Fox' bow reload speed
  • Buffed Taco's tnt reload speed but nerfed bonus damage
  • Allowed enemy attention 50% without disabling achievements
  • Spawning less new containers if player already has a lot of ammo
  • Made ammo cheaper to buy from merchants
  • Companions bleed out slower and can no longer bleed out in boss levels (they can still be executed)
  • Loot in all locked crate now scales with level (before only the locked weapon crate scaled with progress)
  • Slightly reduced elite power in looped runs
  • Reduced attention range of elites
  • Made it impossible for enemies to spot you unless they are visible on screen
  • Increased health or attack speed of some bandit types
  • Its no longer possible to keep companions when looping, except for Flint
  • Made ambushes much less likely to occur after first level

Various changes:
  • Added indicator in character selection when all loadouts for a character are unlocked
  • No longer removing loaded ammo that cant be turned back into ammo when weapon is replaced
  • Dead prisoners will no longer drop medicine
  • Added a way to unlock the unique revolver again and added some ammo to its loadout (Die just before reaching your partner, but in a looped run)
  • You can now visit the main menu before starting the prologue
  • Disabled damage indicator in tutorial level
  • Disabled weapon level indicator when swapping with empty slot
  • Weapon level indicator now highlighting if same weapon but durability is better than equipped durability
  • Changed the input system causing some custom key mapping to possibly become invalid
  • Persistent levels now utilize the save game system so reduce memory usage (they are loaded from disk now)
  • Various command prompt changes to support new engine features
  • Fixed boss corpses fading before dropping their loot
  • You can now go back in menus using RMB
  • Fixed active reload being impossible to fail in first half on some weapons
  • Fixed some objects being displayed incorrectly on game over screen
  • Fixed level 4+ elites not having circle indicator
  • Fixed crosshair animation missing if no weapon equipped
  • Fixed a special case where buying a shop item would fail
  • Various minor visual changes/fixes/tweaks

Hey there! Once again, it's our Friday Update! A lot has been going on to get us to our planned early access release! Today I'd like to talk about one of the major changes you might've seen in the latest version of the demo. Lexy, our artist, has been hard at work redesigning and refining the look of our existing characters that are available to check out now! Here are some before and afters:

The cop got a promotion to The Chief of Police. So we decided to redesign him this way as we dug further into his backstory: a small-town hands-on officer whose heart is in protecting his community at any cost.

The Medium has a never-ending curiosity for the dark and macabre, hoping to unlock its secrets and powers one day. Therefore, we redesigned the Medium to showcase her origins in the iconic gothic subculture of the 1980s.

The scientist is not all that he seems. For clean and pristine isn't his style. He has a thirst for knowledge and to improve upon the human race. Disheveled hair and a dirty lab coat won't get in his way. He dives into his experiments with blatant disregard for trivial manners, such as looks or uptight moral principles.

With the Studio’s focus on the development of ARK 2 and the recent launch of Fjordur, the team has been very focused on making that as awesome as we possibly can. Unfortunately, that means we haven’t been able to do a traditional Summer Bash event. We really appreciate all the support you’ve shown us over the years, and the heights that have been reached with our new arrivals so let’s celebrate summer with a special Summer Evo Event!

For the duration of The Summer Evo Event, we will be disabling the world buffs from Baby Boon & Maewing Poach on Genesis Part 2 on the Official Network. In the past, we've adjusted for the impact events have had on the rates by tweaking the bonuses that we use during the holidays, however, those tweaks lead to unfavorable circumstances on maps that aren't Genesis Part 2, so going forward during breeding events, we'll be disabling these mission buffs specifically as not to affect the bonuses on other maps

*Note that these bonuses are multiplicative of the game's standard 1x rates.

My first tame was a dilo, I got a pack of 8 of them and then I thought "wow this army is so strong, it kills all raptors and enemies at the beach"... So I approached the Therizinosaurus and basically said "alright get him boys" and uh, let's just say after I had no more dilos AND I died afterwards. From that moment, I noticed that thing is no joke in the early game.

I wanted to get my first artifact ever, So I went searching for a thyla (I’m on the island), I couldn’t find s***. So I went looking for a baryonyx, I found a level 115 and tamed that guy right up. I got some meat for him, and cryppoded him. I decided to go to the southern cave, so I did and I was confident as hell going in there. So I went in there, I thought that there would be way less creepy crawlers in the my bary was half health, then it was 1/4 health, then it had 200 hp, then it died. I ran into the artifact room. I tried to exit but an arthropela came up and I had 15 hp. I set up some sleeping bags In the artifact room, and ran out of the cave, and someway somehow, I made it out with the artifact, but no baryonyx.
Lesson learned: bring med brews, level up your caving Dino before going caving, and tame a thyla.

The Shadows Lengthen - mightycow88
Greetings denizens of the Darkness! As I am essentially a one man team working on an open world game, the updates and progress are slower. However I am please to announce that this is a major update to the game.

Most notable updates & changes include:

1) Weapons can be reloaded
2) Monster can now hunt players throught the entire environment
3) Main menu now included a "quick selection" section so players can jump right into a new game
4) The werewolf is new moster that players can now face
*Many of players will notice that the Werewolf will be missing many different animations
5) The vehicle has had a slight overhaul. Features include: Animations, engine sounds, speed, turning and spacebar to break
6) Fully procedural 3D cloud shader sky is now included with Day/Night cycle.
7) Advanced AI behaviors including - monster hiding, monster searching and monster fleeing as well.
* you will notice if you strike the vampire with a holy water bottle, she will run away in fear
8) Player inventory is updated. Items can be switched in and out of menu
9) Tons of visual fixes and other chagnges
