In this update drills are added to Astro Colony. It's a new exciting way of extracting resources from the ground! Use them to mine Quartz, Stone or any other resource!
Meanwhile we are experimenting with balance and tech tree changes. For example Chemistry is now required to reaseach Advanced Mining (Miners). It creates a need of having Astronauts sooner!
Opened menus from devices and inventory (like crafting) will stay open and remember it's state.
You can now destroy devices and use recyclables back to construct them again!
In addition many fixes and small QOL improvements:
Each device by default has maximum workers assigned
Fixed issue with multiple drones assigned to the workplace at the same time
Fixed issue with surface details (planet foliage) not being generated or generated in wrong places (other space station)
Fixed some visuals not updated after device rotation
Fixed crafting issue, where saving was pushing progress by few %
Docking station easier to construct on the planet - clear space in front when constructed
Even though Steam Next Fest is over, it doesn't mean the Demo's have to be!
MacOS & Linux Builds of the Loveland Demo are now available.
Please give it a try, and let us know if you run into any issues.
*Note* We are aware of a bug in the Linux version where video files are not playing correctly. We are working on a fix for this, and will patch it as soon as possible.
People have reported that controller issues persisted in the previous release.
Since then we investigated thoroughly and found that Switch Pro and DualShock 4 controllers in particular didn't work as expected. This was probably the case for other gamepads as well.
With this patch we hope to finally address all those issues: from the tests we have made with some select users, everything seems to work as expected.
We have also added a few bindings to facilitate controller-only menu navigation:
Menu buttons are now navigable using the D-Pad
Keyboard keys Q/E and Gamepad's shoulder buttons/triggers (L/R) will change the selected car/level in the menu
Pressing Start will advance to the next screen
Pressing Select will bring you to the options menu when you are in the car selection screen
Gamepad's A button (for Xbox, B for Switch and Cross for Playstation) will act as the "Confirm" button
Gamepad's B button (for Xbox, A for Switch and Circle for Playstation) will act as the "Cancel" button. It will bring you back to the previous menu or close the game in the first menu screen
Gamepad's X button (for Xbox, Y for Switch and Square for Playstation) in the car selection screen will bring you to the car dealer screen
We have also updated the loading screen with new generic button icons, so that Switch/DS4 controller users don't get confused.
