Hey there,

Just a quick update since our Steam Deck has arrived and we tested all of our games on it.



We can happily report that On Rusty Trails runs very well on the small device!
No tweaks to the settings are required, it will launch the Linux build out-of-the-box and it didn't seem to have any problems with the hardware.

You can even crank it up to 8x MSAA with V-Sync enabled, and it will push a stable 60 FPS. Please note though, that while the picture quality with MSAA is very nice compared to FXAA, it will eat more battery.

Update 22.06.18 changes:

- New event with Chiyo and Kayelinth, which starts when you talk with Chiyo at the sleeping chambers. Requires Chiyo's first night CG scene, Kayelinth's first night CG scene, the river scene with Chiyo and Kayelinth, the encounter with Raidy on the challenge floor of the Spire of Courage, and the dialog about stone plates as teleport options in Lalizan in Dorgania.
- You can now marry Chiyo. Requires the Mystery forest event with Kayelinth, and that you advance the main story until Varea comes to your castle.
- Added a "Monitor Synch FPS" option to the option menu, to help people who suffered poor performance due to FPS issues.
- The teleport stones for Begus, Amagal, and Dorgania have no use anymore and can be sold.
- The "Teleport Stone Central" was renamed to "Teleport Orb".
- Instead of receiving multiple teleport stones, the teleport orb is "upgraded" with the coordinates for Amagal, Begus, and Dorgnaia, when you have the events about it.
- Trey gives you the teleport orb after the introduction to the ministers in the throne room now, instead of requiring an additional dialog at the sleeping chambers.
- Fixed a bug with the red button in the nature dungeon of the brexeet isles.

  • Markers for when you reach the end of current content have been refreshed, so they will not play if there is still some way of progressing a character’s plotline (such as making them consort).
  • Chanwe’s existing scenes have been amended to make use of her new emotional range.
  • Darja’s forced scene will reflect your previously-established hole preference.
  • Guards throughout the game have been visually differentiated by type, and rank.
  • The old style idle animations for the guards have been archived, while we await the new versions.
  • Malice recognises if she is being named after one of her mothers.
  • Audio and visual direction for Marie-Anne’s protean fate scene has been improved.
  • Visiting the proteans will show unseen fate followups before any repeats.
  • Supporter credits in the About page have been updated.
  • Writing and VA credits in the Gallery have been updated.
  • Heloise’s wolfman fate has been added to the gallery.
  • Naho’s protean fate has been added to the gallery.
  • Malagar now has a gallery page of his own.

DEVOUR - CosmicChatter
Calling all digital artists!

We're running a competition to have a piece of fan art included in DEVOUR's new, upcoming map.
We're looking for something that can be used as a large, unframed wall poster with the theme 'anti animal cruelty' (especially farm animals like cows, pigs and sheep). Feel free to play around with this concept in a comedic way!

Art should be submitted via the #art-contest channel of our Discord server. You can join our Discord server here. High resolution image files (PNG/JPG), over 2048x2048 only please. The final date for submissions is 10am PDT on 8th July 2022, after which the development team will review all submissions and vote for a winner. If we receive a large number of submissions, we may choose two winners. Artists may submit multiple entries if they wish to.
