First off: thank you for your interest in this game! It's my third game but the gratefulness hasn't worn off one bit. I'm very happy to be able to make cool games and even more happy that some people out there actually like my stuff!
Blacken Slash is gearing up for the release, I'm applying finishing touches here and there and I'm very happy with the results. The character art is now in the game and really helps to create the atmosphere:
I've also reworked the item comparison for more clarity:
And you might have noticed the cool glitchy shader the enemies now have:
And these are just a few select changes – I've worked tirelessly these past few weeks to make this the most high quality game I possibly can. And it shows: when playtesting, I regularly lose track of time and play way more than I intended to.
I can't wait for y'all to get your hands on the game. In the meantime, if you haven't already, do check out the free prologue and see all the new changes for yourself:
Changes: - Added "Clear Cache" button to the Town Panel. This would clear your client's saved version of the town and reload the server's version fully and should help the issue of constantly reappearing client blocks that cannot be deleted. - Renamed Work Town to Workplace and Bed Town to Hometown. - Villagers will try to shift aside if they are walking slowly in each other. - Town camera is zoomed to the maximum instead of starting in the middle.
Fixes: - AFK notification will not spam and be removed shortly after becoming active again. - Villagers not going back to work and following you after having a conversation with each other. - Villagers working without tools or with the wrong type of tool. - Conquered towns should not revert back to the previous owner.
Added a black grid to the tiles that improves map readability. By default it's subtle, but you can adjust its power in the options to make it really strong or disable it completely.
Resolution slider now filters out too big resolutions (bigger than your system resolution).
Get ready, Commander! The new High Score tank is rolling onto the battlefield! And you can get it FOR FREE! Cool, right?
What Should I Do?
Go to the Store and get the free bundle Subscription to the High Score. Enter the game every day while the subscription is active and claim your reward: 10 parts of the certificate for the High Score. Don't miss a single day of the 10-day subscription to collect 100 parts of the certificate, combine them in your Storage, and make this new American Collector tank yours!
You can collect your rewards when you enter the game or in your Storage. Parts of the certificate are not added for days missed.
What's the Tank Like?
The sleek silhouette is one that an experienced tanker will easily recognize as the researchable M4 Sherman American tank. But don't be misled: The High Score's gameplay is completely different. It's not that quick-firing, but its single-shot damage will make some heavies run for the hills! That's exactly what you need for providing effective fire support to your allies. Placing among the top damage-dealers will prove quite nice, won't it? Claim the High Score and beat all high scores in battles!

Get ready to battle in a brand-new limited-time mode—-Coastal Assualt! Coastal Assualt will take place in two stages. From June 16 to June 23, First Wave will be active, and you may only take infantry units into battle. From June 23 to 30, Maximum Force will come into play, and cavalry troops can join the fray.
Equipment and artillery have their own rules in this mode, along with several different unit rulesets that will be switched up for the different stages.
To attain victory in Coastal Assault, you must protect your base and seize any opportunity to conquer the enemy's base, as well as occupy as many points as possible to lower your enemy's score.
Points A, B, and C can be contended for throughout the game. Both sides will occupy the point nearest to the base when the game starts. When one side occupies two or more points, the enemy's base will be vulnerable for 60 seconds, during which they can occupy it to significantly reduce the enemy score. The enemy will continuously lose score if one side occupies A, B, and C at the same time.
Temporary Doctrine Drops are active in Coastal Assault, but will only drop if you own a unit of the type used in battle. Matchmaking Drops are also available in this mode.
Unit Reinforcements
Reinforcements will spawn throughout the game for both sides and try to claim enemy points.
Equipment
The weapon type you queue up with will decide what armour type you wear (armour will be of legendary quality without any extra attributes).
Armour Sets
The following armour sets will be available to use:
From now until June 30, you can claim Temporary Doctrines from Matchmaking Battles (and Coastal Assault matches) to upgrade the units that you’ve used in battle.
Doctrines can be used to improve a unit’s attributes (including Health), grant them additional benefits and skills, and boost their defence against piercing, slashing, or blunt damage.
