Hack and Slime - Odín
Hi everyone! Like every week here comes...

THE WEEKLY UPDATE!



We know that a lot of Hack and Slime players are waiting for new content, and we're working on it, but we've made the decision to put out a big improvement update for this Friday.

Now the game is more dynamic, fast, and satisfying, especially at the beginning. It prevents the player from getting lost and opens up the possibility of introducing more quests, and those quests are coming very soon. We have also added a very important change in the gameplay, the new camera system allows us to create levels with much more verticality, even ascending or descending levels, which will greatly enrich the gameplay.

It would help us a lot in ensuring the QA of Hack and Slime if you start a new game and see for yourself the changes we have made.

Very soon we will upload the content update you ask us for.

Hi, everybody! This is Waku Waku Games.
We have released a mini-update:

The main items updated as as follows:

/ Update Information has been added to the title screen. This can be viewed with cleared saved data and allows the user to check the game's updates to date.

/ Saved data switching and overwriting of other data have been implemented.
Up to 30 saved data can now be saved and switched. Please see "Update Information" for details on how to switch saved data.

/ The first half of the "ultimate mode," a high difficulty mode, has been implemented. It is a challenging mode with a fairly high difficulty level.

/ Two new BGM songs have been added and replaced. The BGM for shopping in the store and the BGM for the events in which Nyagosuke appears have been changed. Please enjoy!

/ Two new cheat codes have been implemented.

/ When the game is cleared (after the battle against Maho), a guide will now be displayed on the title screen directing you to the update information.

Please apply the update before continuing to play.
By applying this update, the game version will be [ Ver 0.1.02 ]. You can see which version you're playing by looking at the bottom right of the title menu screen.

A few weeks ago we finally got together with the DCP Award, it looks sooo cool in our office :D



Last month we participated in the indie games festival AMAZE in Berlin. It was super nice to see old friends and connect with new indie developers from our city and other parts of Europe.

Annika and Irene even got on stage and gave a presentation about Kraken Academy!!

Greetings Commanders.

Elite Dangerous Odyssey will today receive a small Hotfix to deploy, in order to address a number of outstanding issues.

Elite Dangerous: Odyssey servers will not require extended server downtime but will be offline momentarily from 16:45 BST. The hotfix will be available imminently thereafter.

Updates:

  • A fix has been implemented to address landing issues for Anaconda Pilots.
  • This was a nasty one whereby Commanders would be unable to land on planet surfaces. You can now touch down as intended.
  • A fix has been implemented to address frequent stuttering encountered during gameplay, often seen when descending towards a planet surface.
  • A fix has been implemented to address missing facial hair on Commander portraits.
  • This fix to facial hair also includes fixes for other Commander customisation elements not displaying correctly, such as tattoos and more (Issue tracker reference ticket: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/50359)
  • A fix has been implemented to address the Shipyard UI softlocking if "Disable GUI Effects" was set to On.
  • This fix benefits both regular and VR Commanders.
  • Commanders are now correctly able use X/Square input when using a controller when navigating on foot.
  • This issue was caused by multiple inputs being allocated to the same control scheme, which would then incorrectly mask one another.
  • General crash and stability fixes have been implemented.


Known Issues:

The current high priority known issues are listed below but as usual, please remember that these are not the only outstanding issues sitting team side that mean a lot to us.

These are strictly reports which are causing some significant mischief at present still, which we'd just like to offer formal reassurance on as being noted. Thanks so much, as always, for your patience.

  • Unable to access ship functions from within a station (Issue tracker reference ticket https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/50353)
  • As per the report, Commanders have experienced being unable to access any of the ship functions when at the station services screen. Once again, as per the report, Commanders are required to leave Station Services to access ship functions and then go back again.
  • As another has noted, Commanders are unable to 'check their existing missions or inventory, or even consult the System and Galaxy maps without exiting completely from the station UI.'
  • It's been reported that ship launched fighters are failing still to attack Thargoids when giving orders to their pilot NPCs.
  • There's currently an issue whereby opening the System or Galaxy Map incorrectly issues a 'fade-to-black' transition.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Many of you have been wriggling in your seats with the anticipation of what we’ve been brewing in the background. For now, let’s just say that a lot will be happening over the next few weeks.

In the meantime, here’s a roundup of what you may have missed, and some of what’s coming up:

In Monday’s developer diary, UI Designer Ami Tsurugi and UI Developer Magnus Eckers talked about the new Item Wheel feature being introduced for free alongside our upcoming reserve, Revontuli Coast.

Next week, using Finland as an example, Lead Designer Troy Schram will be stopping by to talk about the decision making process behind the chosen locations for each Reserve.

To finish up, there’s no stream next week because we’re jet setting our Community Engagement Manager, JaxyBeard, and his family over to Stockholm for a long overdue IRL team welcome and catch-up! We want him to make the most of his visit before the big move and can’t wait to have him in-house. 🧡

This release of the Dying Light: Definitive Edition marks an important moment in the history of Dying Light. On the one hand, it’s a showcase of the 7 years of immense love, staggering work and devotion. On the other, it’s the grand finale of our adventures in Harran.



Once again, we couldn’t be happier with the amount of success and awe-inspiring memories this game has brought us — primarily because of our wonderful community. There are still so many new faces discovering Dying Light for the first time, which is why we will keep a steady reroll of previous events in the near future for you to enjoy. And yet, we also feel it’s the perfect time to move on and shift our focus towards brand-new adventures in the city of Villedor.



Your fond memories of our game are the true undying light that will keep shining forever. We hope to make bigger and brighter memories together as we close one chapter and open another in the world of Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

Hi, everyone. Welcome to another week's developer's diary.

Let's do things a bit differently this week.
First, let's a have quick rundown of the major content update of this week:
1, The Crazed Workers in the Unfinished Building and the Skeleton Cultists in the Secret Tunnel now drop skill books.
2, The main story continues.
3, Something is happening in Liu's PSB about a corrupted cop while he also has his own moral standards.
4, Gardening system upgrade.
5, The Commodity Market of Liu

Most things mentioned above are quite straightforward or hard to avoid spoilers if mentioning details.
Thus, let's focus on the gardening system and the Commodity Market of Liu in this DD.

It has been a long while since the original gardening system was released.
Based on our Incomplete Chronicle, that was on Mar.12, 2021. More than a year ago.
Thus, it can be a good time to enhance this system and bring more content in the future.

Previously, the gardening system was over-simplified,
Basically, you just need to place something you want to plant and wait a bit to harvest, and that's it.
We couldn't choose who to do all the work.
We couldn't interfere with the growing process.
We couldn't even know how much time was left before harvest.
All those problems have been solved in this week's updates.
As gardening is a life skill that every character can learn and gain experience when using, it's now possible to pick any character in your group to work on the gardening process. The more they use the skill the better they become as they accumulate experience and life skill levels along the way. The main character of yours does not have to be able to do everything.
You can now also be able to inspect plants to see details such as when will be the next harvest.
Meanwhile, a fertilizing mechanism has been implemented. Fertilizers can make plants grow faster and have the potential to gain some bonus when harvesting. You can use fertilizers on a plant multiple times while diminishing returns may apply.
But, let's not just stop there. Things can be a bit wilder. The Fertilizers can also heal the HP of plant characters. They can be used even when you are not working on fertilizing.
Want things to go even crazier? Sure.
Have you heard of a certain chemical compound known as Ammonium Nitrate (NH₄NO₃)?
It can be found in many different types of fertilizers.
However, the usage of Ammonium Nitrate is not limited to making fertilizers. It can be used to make explosions and ammunitions. (Just do not try it at home. ) During this week's update, we finished step one which is to acquire Ammonium Nitrate from fertilizers. Who knows what we will do with it in the future. Maybe there will be some blueprints to be discovered.
I loved chemistry back when I was in high school.
Unfortunately, when it comes to exams, I can always get a much higher score in physics.
A student can only prepare for one of them when taking the University Entrance Exam of China.
As a result, that became another story in my life of abandoning my habit to fulfill the expectation of others. A pitty.

Fun fact: most of the students in China just finished their University Entrance Exam a few days ago in a Sparta-style hunger game. Every year, I feel sorry as I know many will fail. It's the exam they prepared for their entire life. Yet, it's a competitive exam that many must fail. Is that even fair to put everyone to take such an exam without even considering every individual's diversity? Such is China. I witnessed a diligent girl fall right in front of my eyes 15 years ago. I will not deny that I had some strong feelings for her. I wrote her story in a previous version of the game. Maybe I will write again. But, that will be another story.

When I think about it, it always brings back some old memory. One of such memories is the Commodity Market of Liu. Yes, it exists in real life. But, the one I put into the game is likely how it looks like more than a decade ago.

As we live in a living world, I want to make it as dynamic as possible, just like the market I remembered.
The vendors come and go, the booths change owners, new goods can be found now and then, and some of them are even like anomalies. If you want to find a Bazaar in Liu, that's the place.
I am simulating this by making each one of the merchants in this market procedurally generated.
Each time, you pay a visit to this market, you may find vendors, and what they sell changes.
You can find normal goods such as clothes, seeds, and fertilizers here.
You can also sometimes find something strange such as vendors that sell coffins.

Sometimes, we may just see things we cannot understand in our lives.
That plants a seed for us to seek the truth, to open doors that previously we don't know were there.
Those past memories make us who we are right now.
And the seed we plant right now may also have an impact on the future.

Sometimes we succeed in this universe.
Sometimes we fail, but maybe in a parallel universe, we succeed.
But, a seed must be planted first to cause a ripple.

It may sound like a puzzle. But, there is no need to try to fully understand it.
At least, I hope you enjoy the improved gardening system and other new content this week.
That's for this week. Many things are happening beneath normal life right now and this is not just a game.

The fertilizing level of a plant may now provide a bonus to the harvest.
Each plant can configure its own setting on the bonus.
When plucking up what you have planted, additional confirmation is required if the plant has any fertilizing level to avoid misclick.
New location: Commodity Market (It's in Liu's commercial street.)
This location will have different merchants be procedurally generated to offer different goods.
Current possible merchants: Clothes Merchant, Coffin Merchant, and Gardening Merchant
The gardening merchants sell fertilizers and plants. It shall provide a stable source of fertilizer.
