Campaign and Special Ops

Task Force 141 faces its greatest threat yet — a newly aligned menace with deep, yet unknown, connections.

Familiar heroes return and new allies are formed in a globe-trotting operation, including missions in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

This Campaign is set to be an incredible experience on numerous levels: offshore sieges with underwater combat, all-out explosive assaults from 30,000 feet above enemy strongholds, and high-stakes, low-profile stealth missions in both plain sight and under the cover of darkness.

Deploying alongside you are iconic squadmates: Team leader Captain John Price; seasoned sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick; the lone wolf himself, fan-favorite Simon “Ghost” Riley; fearless Sergeant John “Soap” MacTavish; as well as the newest team member, Colonel Alejandro Vargas, an incorruptible Tier 1 Operator and member of the Mexican Special Forces.

After the Campaign, players can join with up with their duo for evolved Special Ops. This tactical co-op mode advances your team-building skills, and also sets the scene for the near-endless hours of gameplay available in the world-class Multiplayer.

Multiplayer: Next-Generation Innovations

Those who preorder and drop into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Multiplayer at launch will be among the first to try out and level up the multiple base weapons, explore a wide range of maps and modes, meet an international cast of Operators, and more.

With new ways to play and numerous gameplay innovations, including a revamped Gunsmith that offers more customization than ever before, Modern Warfare II will hit the ground running on day one, ready to welcome newcomers and fierce competitors alike.

The first to the fight will also be well-prepared for an incredible post-release calendar, set to include a massive amount of free post-launch content drops featuring new maps, modes, and blockbuster special events that can’t be missed.

Modern Warfare II — Technically Speaking

Starting with Modern Warfare II, the new title features the new, next-generation engine that first debuted with Modern Warfare (2019).

Modern Warfare II will be the most advanced Call of Duty in history, with a truly immersive experience with stunningly realistic sound, lighting, and graphics.

Modern Warfare II features a physically based material system allowing for state-of-the-art photogrammetry, a new hybrid tile-based streaming system, a new PBR decal rendering system, world volumetric lighting, 4K HDR, as well as a new GPU geometry pipeline. All of this is in service of a massive cinematic Campaign.

The game also features a new advanced AI system. Enemies and friendlies alike across Campaign and Special Ops act tactically using combat and cover maneuvering techniques that would be second nature to a Tier 1 Operator.

Warzone in the Next Generation for Call of Duty and Additional Content

October 28 marks a new beginning for Call of Duty, starting with the release of Modern Warfare II. Soon after, a wholly new Warzone will launch as an extension of the Modern Warfare II universe. With it comes new technology, new features, and new gameplay that work seamlessly together. Throughout, we have taken a wide range of community feedback to heart. In order to fully deliver this state-of-the-art experience, Warzone 2.0 will feature new Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories. Today’s Warzone will continue as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that Warzone experience. We can’t wait to share more details soon.

Development on the all-new, dynamic Warzone 2.0 experience is also being led by Infinity Ward, along with Raven Software. The new, free-to-play battle royale Warzone also features the same technology powering Modern Warfare II, so both titles leverage the Call of Duty engine that first debuted with Modern Warfare (2019), providing the most seamless and advanced Call of Duty experiences ever.

In addition, expect more intel on a new sandbox mode and the brand-new playspace as we get closer to launch.

Evertried - Lunic Games
The new bug report seems to be working wonderfully, and thanks to all of you we are able to find some pesky issues and take care of them as soon as we can. With that said, you can expect a battery of hot fixes as we tackle the reports sent by all of you.

Please keep them coming! <3

Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where skill masteries were reverting to lv 1 when a custom floor is restarted

  • Fixed an issue that caused skills to trigger their mastery evolution animation sequence every time they were cast during custom floors.

  • Added a work around to prevent players from interacting with buttons while they are still not showing, which caused some issues with dialog interactions before.

  • Fixed an issue with Light Feet trying to store its effect while the effect was null.

  • Improved detection for the Shock modifier, so it does not trigger if enemies that could not receive stun or damage by any reason.

Thanks for the continuous support!
STRIDE - Profile Name
The multiplayer session starts exactly one hour after this update. The servers will go live at 7:00 pm UTC / 3:00 pm ET / 12:00 noon ET.

It seems that the playtest tool on Steam conflicts with our DRM protection, so playing the multiplayer will require a few extra steps.

If you haven't played STRIDE on Steam before:

You need to get a beta key for the game and activate it on Steam. Please, visit https://joyway-keys.electricminds.art/, take a key and follow the further instructions there.

You can start downloading and installing the game right now. Launch the beta branch of STRIDE called 'playtest'. If you can see the 'Multiplayer' button in the main menu - you're running the correct version of the game.

Also, STRIDE has a unique locomotion system, so we strongly recommend that you finish the tutorial first and practice in single-player modes before joining the multiplayer.

If you already own STRIDE on Steam:
1) Select the beta branch of the game. You can do it by right-clicking on the game in your library —> properties —> betas. Branch name - playtest.
2) Download the game. Launch the beta branch of STRIDE, and in the main menu you will see the 'Multiplayer' button. If it's there - you're running the correct version of the game.
3) our servers will go live at 7:00 pm UTC / 3:00 pm ET / 12:00 noon ET and will be up for 2 hours.

We'd be grateful for your feedback, so you can fill out this form after the session.

We hope you will have great fun!

Aloha, Thrivers!

We let Wave 2 into FRV back in April and they have been a huge help testing the game and working with us as we build out all the new features we have in store for Wave 3. We have a lot planned for the next round of our Kickstarter backers like talents, server travel, base decorations, and renovations to dungeons and our starting area, the Thorcon Power Plant.

With our next big update coming soon we thought we’d give you a sneak peek at the facelift we’re giving the game’s social hub, the sewer dungeon, and some options for personalizing your base. We can't wait to open the doors to the Thorcon and let you all inside.

Thorcon Power Plant Update

The difference inside the game’s starting area and social hub is night and day.

There are more vendors and shops where players can buy and sell loot inside the main room and plenty of areas to explore throughout the entire building.

Sewer Facelift

One of the best and filthiest places to explore in FRV is the sewers. With all the work we’ve put into beautifying the starting area, we thought we’d add a fresh coat of slime to the sewers too. We’ve tweaked the lighting and materials to make the place glisten in all the wrong places and finished a couple more areas inside for players to discover and loot.

Base Decorations

Base decorations were one of the stretch goals unlocked in our Kickstarter campaign and one of the most requested features from players. We’re working on lots of things to customize your builds like lighting, planters, stoves, furniture, and other decorations. Here’s a look at a fantastic bed we recently designed that has everything a sleepy thriver needs to survive a restless night.

Fixed an issue some players ran into on the kitchen menu, this happened when you had no furniture placed and scrolled to the lasagna recipe on the menu.
Ecosystem - DanPos
Happy World Oceans Day everyone!

We were recently approached by WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conversation who in partnership with Curve Games are running a World Oceans Day Charity Sale to raise aware for their charitable work and honestly, Ecosystem is such a great fit for this that it was an immediate yes!

During the sale Ecosystem will be 10% off, with a further 10% being donated to WDC.

Alongside the sale we are running an open beta for the next major update to come to Ecosystem, the Evolutionary Sandbox Update.

We spoke about the update in Development Update #10 so if you want to get the full rundown of the update you can check out that post!

As always with our betas, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND backing up your save files as we can't guarantee they will stay compatible with the main branch version of the game.

You can back up your saves by locating them at: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\Ecosystem - to back them up just copy them to another a folder, for example your desktop, then when you revert back to none beta version of the game, if your save doesn't load you can copy them back to your Documents\Ecosystem folder.

You can use the games Discord server to provide feedback (which is preferred) or the Steam community forums on the pinned post.

You can opt into the open beta by choosing it on the Betas tab (accessed by right clicking the game in your Steam library, and choosing properties).

Patch notes for the beta are below, and if you would like to learn more about WDC you can read more about them below :)

PATCH NOTES
v0.27

FEATURES
* Allow for adjusting higher level properties of the environment and creatures: Drag, Aerodynamics, Mass Density, Muscle Density, Neuron Energy Cost, Maturation Time, Lifespan, and Mating Period.
* Allow specifying parameters that creature evolution will be kept within: Size, Dimensions, Body Part Count, Body Part Types (Fins/Tentacles/Tailfin), Skin Color/Brightness, and enforced Symmetry of various types.
* Add several creatures to the creature menu that serve as examples of what can be done with the parameters. These example creatures and the parameters themselves are unlocked via the research menu.
* Allow for much greater variety of creature size and color.
* Symmetry is much more common and less likely to be broken by mutations.
* Mature creatures now have a medium-priority behavior in which they attempt to keep themselves upright while swimming.
* Interaction options can now all be accessed whenever a creature is selected in addition to being on a separate menu. Also new interaction options: cull species, and speciate based on individual.
* It is now possible to set hard caps on the population of a species, numbers that it will never go below or above, allowing the player to ensure, for example, that a species never goes extinct.
* Players can now revive a creature if it died while selected.
* When heads are very thin, like a manta ray, they should appear more natural and less 'wooden'

FIXES
Fix: Sometimes the spawn species sound effect cuts off.
Fix: Editor could get into an invalid state under certain circumstances if you canceled the screenshot.
Fix: Editor randomize button does not pick the best head for the body.
Fix: When editing a creature near the ground, it's possible for the camera to get gimbal locked.
Fix: Creature selection box could get stuck on red after using the editor.
Fix: Carrion could sometimes hang around a long time after loading due to saving its lifetime parameter incorrectly.
Fix: Culling species from the Info Panel would sometimes miss individuals who were just born.
Fix: Improve performance on Info Panel.
Fix: Creatures with mutation rate set to zero still seem to mutate due to some of the effects of DNA combination in mating.
Fix: New limbs are more likely to be hooked up to nerves that actually function and less likely to trigger invalid physiology removal prior to birth.
Fix: Rare case where creatures could stop steering when pathing towards the mating grounds.
Fix: water can sometimes flicker off and on in the creature view.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Uprightness option on Evolutionary Parameters Menu does not do anything, as this behavior is always fully on.
