Roy's Rugs - HITBZack
Dimensional Rifts are now USABLE! When entering a rift, everything not marked with a "**" will be wiped, and you will be rewarded with some special Crystals. This reward scales off of your net worth in many different areas.

You can trade these crystals on the Black Market which only has a few upgrades in it for now but will be the home to many new pieces of content, such as (new bonuses, unfolding content, minigames, etc...) These new items will be trickling in every update for the next while.

Additions
* Dimensional Rifts are now usable!
* Added a Material Drop Rate Increase modifier within the warehouse Zap machine.
* Reworked the Holy-thread drop chance modifier
* Added the Black Market which will be home to LOADS of new content in the upcoming updates, for now, there are only a few standard upgrades within it.
* All Achievement unlocks have now been fixed, every achievement that you should've received will now be unlocked upon launching the game.
* Reworked how some Zap modifier rewards were being awarded.
* Dimensional Rift animation.
* Many progression tweaks.
* Added a few more tooltips, these will continue to be added all the time. Eventually covering near everything.
* UI scalings
* Many more things that I am likely forgetting.

Fixes:
* Holy thread modifier fixes
* Exploit fixes.
* So many more little things.
DELETE AFTER READING - Jaimerengue
Hello, dear readers!

Today we want to talk to you about how our first game has had a significant impact on the design of Delete After Reading. One of the lessons learned from our previous project, Unmemory, is that it was a dense game. Not only because of the difficulty of the puzzles, but because of the approach of the story itself. The plot was unstructured and complex in a deliberate way in order to make the reader feel lost and play with his memory. And although the comments and analysis of both the press and the players about Unmemory have been very positive, we began to wonder if the format of a book to be played, a game to be read could reach a wider audience.

This is how Delete After Reading was born, it is a friendlier, more accessible project, about the power to change our luck. A fantasy story inspired as always by various and different references: movies like The Goonies or Ghostbusters, comics like Little Vampir or video games like The Curse of Monkey Island. And considering the lessons learned with Unmemory, we decided to reduce the number of chapters, create a more linear story, and we aimed at crafting simpler puzzles but trying to make them funnier.

Those who know us already know how much we love books and their power to stoke our imagination. With Delete After Reading we keep pursuing to improve the reading experience, making it as immersive as possible through basic tools like text, sound, images, game mechanics and some interaction.

The good news is that you will be able soon to take a first look at Delete After Reading and judge for yourself if we have succeeded in our attempt to create a more accessible experience. Remember that the game will be featured on the Steam Next Fest that will take place from June 13 to June 20. It’s less than two weeks away so we believe it’s time to wrap things up to continue polishing our demo.

See you next week!

Rollerdrome - christopher.riccetto
Hello Steam community!

All of us at Roll7 and Private Division are super excited to announce that our newest game - the high-octane skater-shooter ‘Rollerdrome’ - will launch digitally on August 16th right here on Steam!

The critical and user response to our most recent game, OlliOlli World, has been amazing, and hot off the heels of that success, we’re really excited to share a new and very different style of skating game with you all. Rollerdrome mixes adrenaline-pumping combat with stylish roller skate tricks and grinds - it’s a game that will have you on the edge of your seat as you battle to survive the constant threats of the Rollerdrome. Set in a bleak dystopian retrofuture, this game will see you pit your skills against a wide array of heavily-armed enemies in the chilling game of Rollerdrome - a brutal blood-sport sponsored by the mysterious Matterhorn Corporation.

The game’s unique art style and comic book visuals combine with a fully original soundtrack to create a world that is as intriguing as it is menacing and, at times, brutal. 1970's textures and sounds combine with fast-paced modern day beats and cutting-edge production to provide a heart-thumping backdrop to the carnage.

You’ll be stepping into the skates of Rollerdrome competitor Kara Hassan, a newcomer to the sport whose only goal is to survive the menacing tournament; even as the machinations of the evil tech giant who runs the game unfold behind the scenes. With visceral moment-to-moment gameplay, an original and intense soundtrack, and a distinct comic-book inspired visual style, there’s a huge amount to enjoy - and fear - in this intense new title that brings a thrilling new edge to our critically acclaimed flow-state gameplay style.

Support Rollerdrome by wishlisting on Steam. We can’t wait to see you in the arena.

Albion Online - philip.hucknall
Into the Fray, Albion's next major content update, launches on June 8. In our last Dev Talk before the update goes live, Game Director Robin Henkys discusses the huge changes coming to Castles, the new Dynamic Events system, and Twitch Drops, which include Victory Emotes.

Castles
Castles have been an iconic element of Albion Online since the early Alpha. With Albion’s Fifth Anniversary coming up, they have been reworked to make them even more fun and appealing:
  • Overhauled graphics: new gates and destruction effects, new interiors
  • New layouts allowing for more varied tactics and multiple fronts (2 different layouts depending on biome)
  • Demolition Hammers now used directly from inventory like tools, capture mechanics now similar to Faction Outposts
  • Updated rewards: instead of scoring Season Points regularly, Castles and Outposts now have a chance to spawn chests regularly
  • Chests provide Might and update a guild's Might Level, generating Season Points and creating new opportunities for smaller guilds

All in all, you can look forward to more action around Castles all throughout the week – and if you liked the previous system, the massive weekend loot chests remain in place.

Dynamic Events
A new Activities UI provides a one-stop overview of all the game's timed activities. It offers two event types:

1. Activity Events
  • Shown in the upper left
  • Give temporary bonuses to existing activities (e.g. Fame in Randomized Dungeons, increased Faction Points, Fame and Loot in Hellgates)
  • These bonuses are randomized and last several days, with the next bonuses visible 24 hours in advance

2. Daily Production Bonuses
  • Shown in the upper right
  • Give daily changing production bonuses to two different item or resource lines
  • Globally increase resource return rates for producing these items on that day
  • Bonus is usually moderate, but on rare occasions can become significant
  • Rewards crafters for diversifying their crafting capabilities, adds additional market fluctuations for traders
We’re very much looking forward to seeing how both Activity Events and Daily Production Bonuses affect daily life in Albion, as we have many ideas for how we could expand on these concepts in the future.

Twitch Drops
Albion Online has a dedicated group of content creators, and to support them and grow the Albion Online community, we’ve integrated Twitch Drops.

  • Players can link their Twitch account to their Albion account and earn rewards for watching official content creators
  • Up to 7 Community Reward Chests can be earned per week – contain a wide variety of vanity items and unlocks
  • Unlocks include existing vanity skins and entirely new exclusive variations
  • Can be salvaged into Community Tokens, which can be spent at the Vanity Merchant in each 'y
Victory Emotes
Victory Emotes are a new type of audio-visual expression of your victory over another player, played at the location of your defeated opponent at the moment of your victory.
  • Each time an emote is played, it consumes a single charge
  • Charges can be earned from Community Chests, crafted with Community Tokens, or bought with Gold
  • Premium players can also trade Victory Emote Charges earned from Community Chests via the in-game marketplace
  • Launching with a small selection, will be expanded in the future
  • Can be turned off in Settings at any time.

And with that we conclude our look at the features coming to Albion Online with the “Into the Fray” Update. We’re very ex'ed about all the improvements coming to Albion Online with this update and are looking forward to seeing you in-game on June 8th, when “Into the Fray” releases.
Grand Tactician: The Civil War (1861-1865) - Captain Müller (KGF)

Gen'l,

The biggest Grand Tactician update so far has been released. Version 1.06 brings not only a long list of bug fixes and minor improvements, but overhauls the game’s economy system completely. The patch introduced also new game mechanics, like government funded projects and a new weapon procurement system (including a few new weapon types), as well as ability for the player to construct a wide range of buildings with unique effects on the campaign map.

For the full list of changes, see the patch notes here:
Patch Notes 1.06

The game’s manual has also been updated to include instructions for all the new or changed features.

Cheers,
The Grand Tactician Team
