Linguist FPS - The Language Learning FPS - Rocket Boy Games
Hey everyone, we've just released a small update to fix a couple of issues that affected some players:

-Bombs continuously exploding.
-Very poor performance in the training area.

The continuous explosion problem usually only occurs the first time you run the game and can be fixed by restarting it but we want to try to stop it from occurring at all. It's a very difficult one for us to re-create so if you have the newest build and still see this problem please let us know so we can continue to work on it. Thanks.

Have you ever wanted more free stuff in KARDS? Thought you were not progressing fast enough? Be in control and trigger a boost of extra rewards?

Then rejoice and celebrate the arrival of the brand new KARDS Medkit on May 26th to help you out of this plight!

Read on and explore the exciting details of these new items, what they are and how to get them.

MEDKITS - WHAT ARE THEY?

Medkits are consumable in-game items that, once activated, will double the national XP you receive at the end of a match. Medkits have a specific duration, after which they expire and become void.

The duration of the current Medkits is set to 2 hours. We have decided to go with 2 hours because it matches pretty well with a good session length and because we don’t want to encourage some unhealthy grind.

HOW TO USE MEDKITS

Using Medkits couldn’t be easier! Simply go to your progression window to find the new Medkit Booster tab.



There you see the amount of Medkits you own and a big “activate” button if you have any available. This will activate the Medkit and start the 2-hour boost period. And that’s all you need to do!

Once a booster is active, a large countdown will appear on the main screen, showing you when the booster expires.



A few more details about Medkits:

  • Boosting effects don’t stack. You can’t activate two Medkits simultaneously to get a 4x XP boost. You can only have one Medkit active at any given time.
  • Countdowns don’t stack. You also can’t activate two Medkits at the same time to get 4 hours continuously. You need to activate them one after the other.
  • No cooldown period between Medkit activations. Once an active Medkit runs out of time, you can activate another one.
  • No expiry date. Medkits don’t expire (similar to draft tickets); you keep them on your account. You can own as many Medkits as you want.

HOW TO GET MEDKITS

With all that being said, you might wonder where you can get the KARDS Medkits. There are several ways to get them.

Medkits are available in the KARDS Shop for 10 Diamonds. You can also quick-purchase them directly from the progression tab for your convenience.

In-game events and special rewards will provide free Medkits from time to time. As mentioned above, you can either use them right away then or collect them for a later date if that would be more convenient for you (a major advantage over our traditional double XP events that left quite some people losing out because they lacked time to play during that specific event - no more!).

The next event is right around the corner, and it will provide free Medkits for everyone. Can you guess which event that will be?

Medkits will become available in KARDS with the next patch on May 26th.

Hello everyone, we can't be grateful enough for all the feedback we receive from you. One of them, perhaps the most important, was how we could make even better use of the rotating of the tiles. With this update, amongst others, we deliver mixed tiles to you, where it really matters, how you rotate them.
New tile type - mixed environment
  • The same rules apply to this tile as to the others, but it will consist different base tiles, thus it will be important, how You rotate it before laying it down
  • The mixed tile is generated from the already unlocked tile types


Game Balance
  • New tile types are unlocked earlier
  • The unlockable tile types are based on how many seasons you played, not on the number of the already placed tiles
Tiles
  • We have changed the colors of the tiles so that the mixed tiles can be matched easily
Season cap
  • The duration of the demo is now depending on the seasons that you have played, instead of the tiles that you have placed

The update contains some performance and minor bug fixes too.

Rogue Company - kfuller
At First Watch Games, we’ll never forget the day we first shared Rogue Company with you. It was July 20, 2020 – almost two years ago – when we entered Closed Beta. We only had 13 Rogues, just 7 Maps… and we were missing a lot of really important features. We didn’t even have a Battle Pass!

Just a few months later, in September of 2020, we entered Open Beta – and opened the floodgates to millions of players as a free-to-play title. Today, we’ve seen more than 25 million players jump into our game.

Since entering Open Beta, we’ve spent the last year and nine months continuing to improve Rogue Company alongside our community, adding features like Rogue Mastery, Weapon Mastery, Next Gen Native Versions, a Steam release, Monthly Login Bonuses, Human Backfill, Narrative Events, and MVP. We’ve brought collaborations with Dr. DisRespect and Rambo, new modes like Battle Zone and Dodgeball, and so much more.

Our work is not done. But we’ve come a long way. We’ve added 9 Rogues, 7 Maps, 9 Weapons, and 12 game modes since Beta went live. And Rogue Company is finally in a place where we think it can hold its own.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve reached the end of our Beta and will enter into our full release with our next update. This beefy update will feature a new Rogue, a new Season, and some sweet new features that you’ll hear more about in our update show.

There’s much more to come this year (including a fantastic crossover that we can’t tell you about just yet). But also expect us to change how we approach updates to Rogue Company, focusing less on major new features and more on adding strong content, continually improving quality, and addressing key community concerns.

We could not have reached this point without you, and all the amazing support from our community and players. We’ll be doing a little something for you soon – stay tuned for details on our End of Beta Bash celebration. Zero Hour’s Operation Rat’s Den consists of a new map, the addition of CO-OP puzzles, improved loading times light optimizations & more. This update focuses on content updates and quality improvements.



New Map

Rat’s Den

‘Through an interrogation from the terrorists we took in, we have news about a suspicious building located on the outskirts of Sylhet. We received evidence of suspects abducting locals who have been reported missing. We believe they are all ending up in this building here. This base is run by their leader Jubayer Kashem, the brother of Abdul Kashem who we captured in Operation Breaking Meth. He seems to be continuing his family legacy, and along with that, he’s taking in locals subjecting them to forced labor. The convict also mentioned a hideout hidden somewhere in the AO. The objective is to infiltrate the premises, bring in Jubayer Kashem and locate if there are any possible traces leading to a hideout. Be sure to go through the building with your eyes peeled.’


Addition of Co-op Puzzle



We plan to add various puzzle-based objectives in CO-OP, requiring the players to find and solve codes to enter secret locations to complete the mission. This will further add to the experience with an investigating tone of immersion. For this release, we will only include them in Rat’s den. Puzzles for other maps will be added in the future.


Improved Loading Time

We reworked the internal data system to improve loading times. According to our tests, it has cut down the loading time by 1/3. This has fixed prolonged issues such as crashing resulting in heavy memory usage or CPU heating.

Lights Optimization



We used new lighting techniques which got rid of unnecessary rendering time and additions of Realtime GI which will allow the lighting of every scene to reflect the environment in a more realistic & immersive fashion. This is essentially useful for Lights that change slowly and have a significant visual impact on the Scene, such as a slowly pulsating light in a closed corridor.


Leaderboard Reset

The matchpoint leaderboard has been reset to give more accurate readings and scores to players. The issue where players receive inaccurate match points in online matches has been resolved so the points players earn are precise and fair for everyone.

After every operation, we will have a Leaderboard Reset where the top three players will be displayed as milestones. This should push players to be at the top of the leaderboard.

These improvements contain better Ambient Occlusion, AI Behavior Improvements, and Environmental SFX and a New CO-OP UI




Conclusion

Many new exciting features such as Squad AI and Motion Capture are still on the way along with more updates which we will announce soon. We always hope to progress through smaller patches until the next major update. Thanks to the private testers team for testing out the builds with every internal update to ensure a more polished experience for the public release of the update.
