RONIN: Two Souls CHAPTER 1 - M11Studio
RONIN TWO SOULS VERSION 1.1 UPDATE

Hello everyone, there has been no update for RONIN for a long time and this situation needs to be clarified;
We needed some time for both Unreal Engine 5 Update and to solve big and small problems in our game. We fixed most of the issues and worked hard to make our game more playable. Let's see what happened to RONIN together.

WHAT'S NEW AND SOLVED PROBLEMS
  • The dialog system and its visuals have been completely changed. Now, a more familiar, Text-based screen welcomes us.
  • New mission types have been added to the game with separate icons, now you can clearly see what type of mission you are doing.
  • The minimap has been added to the bottom left of the screen. We had a problem in your previous RONIN Experiences, you were constantly losing your direction due to the fullness of the map, so you had to constantly open the Map and look in the direction you were going to go. There is no such problem anymore, thanks to the minimap, you will be able to see the direction you are going. Apart from that, you can enlarge or reduce the map with the "N" button.
  • We have upgraded our game running on Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. This update is reflected in the game both in terms of optimization and visuals.
  • Borderless screen which was only option in previous versions added as an option.
  • Fixed typos and animation issues.
  • All cutscenes have been reworked and increased cinematic impact.
  • When you start the game, you will now have Colored Feather and Death's Breath as standard in your inventory.
  • Added special icons on collectible or interactable items.
  • Removed some of the easter eggs.
  • Slightly adjusted the health and energy of enemies.
  • Unreal Engine 5 feature Global Illumination has been added to the Graphics settings tab. (If you want to turn off this setting, which requires too much power, you need to turn that setting low.)
  • A few cutscenes from the Land of the Dead have been reworked.
  • The cutscene at the intro of the game has been reworked.
  • A new law has been enacted to hide the faces of male and female NPCs, now everyone has to wear masks because the Shogun in power has stolen everyone's faces!
  • Fixed this issue where we could sometimes fall under the ground while fighting enemies on the island of Yamagato.
  • Add new photo mode position (Selfie)

Hello again! I have some big news for my upcoming Kickstarter campaign for Absinthia!

First, a launch date: Absinthia's Kickstarter will launch on May 30. Click here and tap the "Notify me on launch" button so you'll know exactly when it goes live. The pre-launch follower count is a good indication for how well the campaign will perform, and I'm doing one big final push to get that number as high as possible, so I greatly appreciate your help here!

If you're wondering what Absinthia is, feel free to check out its store page. A free demo is also available!

Console Ports

It's always been a dream of mine to have one of my games featured on consoles. It's finally happening: Absinthia will be ported to the Nintendo Switch!

The porting and publishing will be handled by Ratalaika Games. That's about all the info I have on this for now - I'm not 100% sure yet if Absinthia will be ported to PS4/5 or XBox, or if I'll be able to provide digital keys for any console. I'll try to have this information sorted out before the Kickstarter launch.

Kickstarter Preview

Sometime around May 23, I'll share a backers-only update with a preview of the Absinthia Kickstarter page. This will give you a chance to look over the content and rewards and make any suggestions.

Discord server

Team Bewitched has a community Discord server! Feel free to join and chat about Absinthia, Knight Bewitched, Final Fantasy XIV, or whatever!

And that's all for today! See you soon!
Weird Hat Fight - Baxter900
Hello everyone!

Today we're releasing the final patch for Weird Hat Fight, and with it we're leaving Early Access. Thank you so much for joining us on this journey, the feedback we've gotten from everyone has been a ton of help in making our game better!

From everyone at Hatquarters, we hope that you enjoy Weird Hat Fight!

Patch Notes
The final patch is focused on cleaning up the last few areas of the game that needed some attention.

Content & Features
  • Reworked Level Select
  • Replaced the all of the SFX
The old Level Select system was never great and required far too many button presses to start a match so we gave it a makeover. The new system should make getting into a match much faster and smoother.

We've additionally replaced nearly every sound effect in the game with our new and improved versions (and added some more SFX where there weren't any).

Bug Fixes
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes.
Instruments of Destruction - Radiangames
May's featured vehicle theme was Skids, and and I was quite impressed with the quality of the vehicles submitted. I played them all and selected 5 honorable mentions along with 8 new featured vehicles. Like last time, I created a video to showcase the selections:

Though I don't rank the vehicles, the highlights for me this time were Skid Rides, Crazy Speed Skid, Santa's Sleigh On Steroids since they nailed the overall direction of utilizing skids in a fast and unique vehicles.

Next Theme: TANKS

The monthly timeframe seems to be about right to me, so I'll be sticking with that for the next theme. The deadline for TANKS will be June 15th, and I'm looking for a focus on style and usability. Destruction power is nice, but not much of a challenge with all the parts available. A vehicle that is fun to drive and use (and moderate destructive power) is much preferred over something with 20 lasers, for instance.

Upcoming Updates

I've been a little slower on the update front lately, as I've become a bit obsessed about trying to diversify the terrain style a bit more, and have been experimenting with various combinations of settings using the ground editor. I've been doing some significant edits to Draco in particular, and expect to see a new version of it soon.

A new update with various fixes/improvements is coming this week, and I'll be adding at least one new island in that update. I expect 2-3 new islands in the near future, then will add some more parts. Beyond that, I will be figuring out how to get custom islands to work in non-Sandbox modes (more of an interface issue than a technical/code one), and add Steam Workshop support for custom islands.

Thanks for everyone's patience while the editors have been getting worked on. They are heavily geared towards my workflow over ease-of-use, and I hope to create some videos of me using them soon-ish. The upside is it's a lot easier to make new content now, so I expect to double or triple the gameplay content by the end of the year (while also adding/improving lots of other stuff).
