Rocket Rumble - rsvp asap
Hey everyone!

It's been a while but we've been really busy these past few months working towards our full release! Check out these awesome updates plus get a peek at what's on the way!

Lighting Overhaul
We've updated the lighting on 3 of our current tracks! Asteroid Field, Holo Night and Caustic Canyon all got an eyepopping upgrade! These changes are available in our current build!



New VFX!
We've added brand new jet trails on the characters and updated some effects in the game, giving Rocket Rumble a brand new look! Plus check out a brand new finish line animation!



Holo Night Update
Holo Night finally features procedurally generated obstacles! Now you'll never have the same race twice on this track with an ever-changing layout!



Profile Preview
Now you can check out your profile banners and frames in a stylish new preview!



On the Horizon...

PixelNAUTS Account System
We're working on adding a PixelNAUTS account system to the game! This way you'll be able to save your progress across platforms once we have our full launch next year!

Profile Pictures
Profile pictures are coming to Rocket Rumble! Along with our new account system, we'll be adding profile avatars to the game. Instead of using Steam profile pictures by default, avatars will added to the game as regular items so you'll be able to earn and use your coins to purchase them in the market!

Loading Screen
We're updating our outdated loading screens to something a lot more fun and suiting for the game! Stay tuned for that coming soon!

Steampunk Speedway
There's a brand new level on the way! Named by our Discord community, Steampunk Speedway is the next track coming to Rocket Rumble. Featuring tons of gears and new track elements; we can't wait for this level to be available to play!



New Logo
We're not quite ready to show it off just yet, but Rocket Rumble is getting a brand new logo! Keep your eyes peeled for our new branding, coming soon!

Events
We'll be attending some events this year starting with the Indie Live Expo later this month! Stay tuned for info on more upcoming events, coming soon!

Medieval Battlegrounds - QuickiSticki
-Fixed a bug where if your inventory is full and you tried to pick up another item, that item would become incapable of being picked up by you.
-Fixed collision issue where when a player attacks near a building or other object, and the players weapon hits that object before their target, players will still hit their target. This was a problem around doorways, poles, and trees where when you attacked, even though you should have hit, you were not.

Also, I am working on an issue that is causing clients to disconnect randomly while playing the Castle Defense game mode. If you have experienced this issue, I will have it fixed as soon as I can, and I apologize for the annoyance.
Modbox - Vermeulen
Hey all! We've released a update to fix a number of issues, and wanted to highlight some new creations.

Changes:
  • Removed 'Desktop Editor Mode', which is now the default. We decided that 'Desktop Mode' was the better experience to get players into, so a prompt to switch to 'Desktop Editor' is longer shown to new players. Instead 'Gamepad Mode' or 'Desktop Mode' can be switch to while editing in the menu.

Fixes:
  • Fixed a lot of issues with switching play mode worlds. Should no longer be issues with parts connecting that shouldnt have - or entities losing data (like losing which prefab they belong to)
  • Fixed error when opening RecordingCamera VR Tool
  • Fixed error when using OcclusionCulling mod
  • Fixed MBScript 'Parent not a container' error, that would then remove the parent of a MBScript code line
  • Fixed 'Kill Self' in menu not running 'UserKilledSelf' event. Now user is set as the LastAttacker before running 'Die' method
  • Fixed issues that would happen if multiple clients were joining a game at same time (server now waits properly before sending game data to next client)

Round 1 of the Lake Seminole Open Series has concluded, and Round 2 is ON! Over 1,800 of you battled it out in Round 1, and the competition has been fierce, with only 2lbs separating the top 10.

Here are your leaders of the pack – the top 10 anglers from Round 1. Some new faces, which is great to see!



Satyatex was strong from day 1 leading the pack, only to be topped in the final hours of Round 1 by Dustall6696, who came in with a huge score of 76lb 7oz. Huge congratulations to all our anglers in the top 10 and to everyone who has taken part so far.

You have been sending in your Round 1 catches via our official Discord. Here are just a few of them.

With the rotation update more or less done and an ever shrinking amount of things left to add for the next version I took it upon myself to add some simple animations to most of the machines.

Now we are building a video game here and in video games, like many things, spectacle matters. Because we are not playing a glorified menu clicker here we want to see our machines work in some capacity. so while the old completely static versions were ok for version 0.2 I wanted to update and improve them for 0.3.

Some like the sawmill are just a very simple rotation animation that plays when it has an input.


The mining drill is not quite finished yet but also rotates and has a bit that extends down to where it is currently mining.


The power hammer moves up and down with its input as well.


and the stirling engine rotates with arm and piston movement. I even added some smoke effects out the stack while it is burning fuel.


Not going to lie I stared at this for way longer than I care to admit when I got it working in game.
