Greetings, Operators!

112 Operator is now 2 years old! The game was released on 23 Apr, 2020 and we have made several adjustments to the game since then, not to mention all 4 DLCs that were released afterward. We are very proud of this game and truly appreciate the dedicated community that has supported us since launch.

This new major update comes from our desire to make the 112 Operator game more accessible. So we are following the previous updates and keep on changing the mid and late-game difficulty, improving the units' response to nearby events, and making all the vehicles come back to their original locations after solved incidents. This should not only help with keeping our units organized throughout harder duties but also further promote players who are taking their time to set everything up properly in the management phase.

FEATURES
  • Added new functionality, which makes all the units go back to their original location after solving the incident.
  • Added patrol checkbox option for medic and firefighting units. By default, these checkboxes are turned off.
  • Improved the auto "go to incident" area radius for the vehicle units. All units should auto-detect and go to nearby incidents more effectively now.
  • Improved the city search engine to locate cities more effectively.
  • Improved the way scenario medals are being saved in the Steam Cloud.
  • Improved the translation in the Polish language.
  • Improved the efficiency of the dog units during the "search & rescue" incidents.

We are aware that some of those new mechanics might require getting used to, but in the end, they should make the whole experience a bit more balanced, smooth, and not as overwhelming as it could have been in the past. Old School RuneScape - Mod Whymsy
Since the release of Group Ironman last year, we've seen hundreds of thousands of players take on the challenge of playing alone, together! You've teamed up, taken on some menacing foes and shared your resources to progress your accounts to new heights in Old School's latest game mode!

What a blast it's been so far. You should all pat yourselves on the back for the hard work you've put in!

Earlier this year, we introduced some further Group Ironman improvements. Post-launch changes included our group storage expansion overhaul, teleport shards, tweaks to the existing Player Owned Housing system and more!



Some of you might also remember that we floated the idea of untradeable item trading between group members. Our aim was to increase the mode's accessibility for teams with less available playtime. However, we've been unable to get a clear consensus on the idea, and based on feedback we've decided not to take it forward.

In the meantime, following a quick health check on the Group Iron experience, we've been cooking up ways we can offer groups more autonomy in how they want to play the game - whether this is at a hardcore level, or just casually with friends.

A common frustration we've seen from players since launch concerns the lack of flexibility when forming and swapping groups. Dedicated groups might experience burnout, resulting in one or two members becoming inactive over time, which can eventually cause them to disband.

Whatever the reason for this - we understand. You might decide that playing as a group isn't for you, real-life may choose to interfere or, frankly, you might just be sick of your team (we've been there!).

Either way, if one or two members of a group become inactive, the current system presents existing members with a rather difficult choice:

  • Continue the journey as a group, competing on the HiScores without the much needed assistance of inactive team members.
OR
  • Kick the inactive members. If your group is struggling, you will be able to invite a new member, but they must start a brand new GIM account, and you face the loss of prestige status.

There is currently no available option to join a different GIM team. or invite an existing GIM into your team. If you would like to continue playing on a GIM account with no group, you'll need to make a new one which only new accounts can join, or become a regular account.

At launch you expressed (valid) concerns about the system because of these restrictions. It's important to remember that the system was intentionally designed this way because it protects against the potential for boosting services. We were especially cautious about this during the design phase as this all affects HiScores and, in turn, game mode integrity.

However, change is needed because we recognise that the current system is not sustainable for many groups - especially those who just want to play Group Ironman with their friends. There is a valid need for existing GIM players to change groups, or existing GIM groups to fill their spot with someone more suitable.

So, what's changing?

We'd like to propose an alteration to the existing rule structure. We'll allow existing GIM accounts to group up. In exchange, the group would be classed as 'Unranked', meaning it would be no longer tracked on the Group Ironman HiScores.

Introducing... Unranked Group Ironman!



Unranked Group Ironman



Unranked Group Ironman is a sub-category of Group Ironman, and would allow players to invite and accept group invitations from other unranked GIM.

Should you find yourself wanting to join a new group on an existing GIM account, or to invite a new member to your group, you'll be able to seamlessly convert your GIM status to 'Unranked', allowing you to invite and accept invitations from other unranked GIM, solving the issue described above. Voila!

In return for the additional flexibility that UGIM offers, the group is removed from the GIM HiScores, freeing you from the shackles of competing with other groups! But please note: once this change is made, you will not be able to revert your status back to 'Ranked'. It's a one way street!

Under the new unranked GIM rules:

A group that invites an experienced player will:

  • Become an unranked group.
  • Lose prestige status (if applicable).
  • This will remove any trade restrictions within their group.
  • Lose hardcore status (if applicable).
  • Be removed from the Group Ironman Hiscores (and every member is removed too). Players will still be able to see their individual HiScores as if they were a main account - they just won't display any changes within their group.

If you're looking to form a new unranked group:

  • You'll be able to invite any type of GIM, provided they are willing to become an unranked player.
  • The group will be set as unranked from the start...
  • ... and it will not show up at the GIM HiScores. At all.
  • Unranked groups cannot be prestige or hardcore.

If you leave an existing group, you may also choose to convert your status to an 'Unranked GIM':

  • You can do this via a third option available upon leaving the group, in the interface (pictured above) where currently we offer the choice between remaining a GIM and downgrading to a main account.
  • The option converts your status to an unranked GIM. This is non-reversible. You cannot revert your status back to ranked once you've become unranked.
  • The option will remove you on the GIM HiScores. However, your progress will still be visible on the regular HiScores.
  • The process does NOT remove your items.

There will be no trade restrictions or KC requirements for unranked groups.

Rest assured, we'll give you sufficient warnings if you're about to join an unranked group, or if your group is about to become one. Keep an eye out for these if you decide to invite players!

We're looking forward to hearing what you think about this change - we'd like to introduce it on May 25th, so please provide feedback swiftly if any further changes are needed!



Group Ironman Boss Bash

In order for the Group Ironman mode to shine, we want to promote group activities as they help to facilitate teamwork and group play - that's the essence of what being a Group Ironman is!

The upcoming changes should help to create a nicer environment for some groups because it allows existing GIM to continue their journey no matter what their team members decide to do. We also think we should provide additional incentives for people to play as a group. We'd like to explore ways of making group content a bit more worthwhile, especially if you're looking for a good excuse to play with your friends!

Although you're able to enjoy the game as its own standalone single player experience, you've also made the potential for new group activities very clear to us, and recent group content has been well received. However, we also want to give you good reason to revisit older game content.

We think it's time to get creative!

We've created a small-scale raffle for various Group Ironmen to band together and take on some formidable foes!

The raffle will see players earn points over two weeks for taking on various bosses in the game! This raffle is exclusive to Group Ironmen, but is available to all and any types of groups - unranked, ranked and hardcore.

Since this is a brand new idea, we'd like to keep this raffle exclusive to GIM-only for the time being. However we are very open to the idea of holding these small-scale raffles for other types of accounts if this is something you would like to see!

How does it work?

Points are awarded during a 2-week period for killing various bosses in-game (see table below). These points would hold no in-game value, cannot be traded, and would only be available for the duration of the raffle. We think this could provide a fun reason to log in with your friends, encouraging your buddies to take down some bosses with you!

At the end of the 2-week period, we'll randomly pick 10 lucky groups and award them with membership! We'll choose these randomly because we don't want players feeling pressured to be online 24/7. However, groups will see an increased chance of winning the more points they have accumulated!

In order to participate, you'll need to register your group for the challenge.

Registration is very simple and happens in-game. There will be a button on the GIM Settings Menu where you can click to sign-up, so no need to visit any web links. Simply click the button and get to slaying!

When you've signed up, please note that we'll need to temporarily disable some group features during the raffle, such as leaving a group and changing the group name. You may opt to leave the raffle early if you wish to re-enable these features!

Additionally, you may only register for this raffle once per account, so make sure that the team you register with is the one you intend to stick with!

We’ve just released a patch to version 1.0.23 of B.I.O.T.A. This time we’ve got one, highly requested feature, and some balance improvements for Zeed.



Let’s start with the main course - Palette Auto-mode.

Due to popular demand from players, we’ve added a new color palette setting. With auto-mode on, the game will automatically change the color palette when entering a new zone, choosing from a set of 2-4 most suitable palettes for that specific level.



Now let’s move on to Zeed. To put it simply, his main weapon felt too overpowered. We’ve tunned that down a bit to bring him in line with other Gemini II Squad members.

Here are the latest update details for Black Desert Online on May 11, 2022 (Wed).

Artifact Inventory Preset

We have added the Artifact Preset function to make it easier for Adventurers to use artifacts.
After the release of the Artifact Inventory, we worked hard to get the preset function out as quickly as possible.

You can now create presets by selecting the "Edit Preset" button in the Artifact Inventory. Then you can select the "Equip" button of a preset to equip and manage your artifacts.
Especially since the Artifact Inventory is shared within your Family, this function makes it convenient for you to manage artifacts across multiple characters.

We hope you will enjoy and take advantage of the new Artifact Present function.

● Added the Artifact Preset function.
- You can equip and manage designated artifacts using the preset function.
- Select the "Edit Preset" button in the Artifact Inventory to save an artifact preset.
- You can save up to 10 presets.
- You can change the names of the presets when you edit a preset.
- You can see what kind of lightstone combination effect you will get with the artifacts via the "View Effects" button.
- You can equip the preset artifacts by selecting the "Equip" button.
* When you equip artifacts in a preset, then the artifacts you already had equipped will automatically be moved to your Artifact Inventory.
* You must have at least 2 slots available in your Inventory to equip artifact presets.
- The icon of artifacts that are not currently in your Artifact Inventory will be marked red.





World Boss Improvements

We have adjusted the difficulty of the stronger world bosses such as Stormbringer Karanda, Nightmarish Kzarka, Bloodstorm Nouver, and Thundercloud Kutum.

We've reduced the damage of certain difficult-to-avoid and one-hit-kill attacks (regardless of being at appropriate DP levels), and slightly increased the damage of certain attacks that were previously negligible to avoid. We also worked on improving the visibility of the range and patterns of boss attacks so that Adventurers would be able to better react to and avoid them.

We also drastically reduced the amount of time Bloodstorm Nouver spends in flight and made Thundercloud Kutum's debuff to now be purified by 1 Adventurer instead of the previous 3, thus rewarding our Adventurers for properly managing these boss mechanics. Regarding boss rewards, we are still undergoing much discussion as we look over our data. We ask that you also share your feedback and opinions with us as well.

Stormbringer Karanda
● Adjusted some of the attack patterns and difficulty of Stormbringer Karanda.
- Reduced damage on some of the attacks.
- Improved the hit area markers to display earlier.
- Changed the attacks that did not display a hit area marker but were telegraphed by the boss' motion to display markers.
- Improved the visibility of some of the hit area markers.
- Reduced the strength of the attack that pushes Adventurers away.

Nightmarish Kzarka
● Adjusted some of the attack patterns and difficulty of Nightmarish Kzarka.
- Reduced damage on some of the attacks.
- Improved the hit area markers to display earlier.
- Changed the attacks that did not display a hit area marker but were telegraphed by the boss' motion to display markers.
- Reduced the strength of the attack that pulled Adventurers in.
- Removed the rocks that fell immediately after Adventurers were pulled in.
- Changed Remnants of Kzarka so that characters can move through them.

Bloodstorm Nouver
● Adjusted some of the attack patterns and difficulty of Bloodstorm Nouver.
- Reduced the frequency of attacks where he would take flight and becomes invincible.
- Changed the aerial attacks so he would land sooner.
- Reduced damage on some of the attacks.
- Adjusted the hit area of certain attacks.
- Changed the sand tornados that pulled in Adventurers to disappear when certain attack patterns begin.

Thundercloud Kutum
● Adjusted some of the attack patterns and difficulty of Thundercloud Kutum.
- Adjusted the speed and damage of certain attacks.
- Adjusted the hit area of certain attacks.
- Improved the visibility of some of the hit area markers.
● Changed the "Purify" buff that used to be obtained when 3 Adventurers that purified the clouds gathered together to be obtainable by themselves.
* Buff Effects: Significantly increases Extra AP Against Monsters, Movement Speed, Attack Speed, and Casting Speed

Item

● Increased the Silver prices of Pearl items and amount of extractable Valks' Cry and Cron Stones from all Pearl Outfits that can be registered on the Central Market.



● Improved the usage of items to be displayed first before how to obtain the items for improved item descriptions of existing items.

Monster

● Changed the location of Dark Rifts that appear at the Orc Camp and the Bloody Monastery.
- The Dark Rift that appeared at the Orc Camp was moved to Alejandro Farm.
- The Dark Rift that appeared at the Bloody Monastery was moved to Southern Mountain Range.
- Any Dark Rift left open in their previous location before the update will remain there until you defeat the respective boss. Once defeated, these Dark Rifts will appear in the new locations the next time they reopen.




Quest, Knowledge

● Changed unskippable cutscenes to now be skippable from the second time you proceed through the Mountain of Eternal Winter main questline.
- You can now skip cutscenes you couldn't previously skip when proceeding with the main questline with another character upon completing the following additional quests after completing the main questline once.
- Cutscenes can be skipped after completing [Everfrost] Journey's End, which you can accept from the Black Spirit after completing Mountain of Eternal Winter: [Everfrost] Beyond the Doors of Alyaelli.
● Improved the alignment and visibility of the list of Suggested and Recurring quests on the Quests (O) window.



● Increased the Contribution EXP of 51 quests in Mountain of Eternal Winter.

We have changed some things with the User Experience in mind:
  • For public games, before entering the Lobby, you will be able to select which map you want to play.
  • Each map has its own Game Pass and its own Game Pass level. Check which one you want to level up before starting a game.
  • You can now switch from a private lobby to a public lobby. That way you will be able to play with your friends and other people.

Here in Noxfall Studios, we always read your feedback and that way we know what our next steps should be. We want everyone to have fun playing and exploring the different maps, so we will be focusing on the following elements for future updates:
  • Console release! This will be our main focus because we want the game to reach everyone, everywhere.
  • New map! Of course this is not going to be released soon. We want to give each map the time it needs.
