The following content is included in this update:

3. Fixed the order of the text to make the content more fluid.
4. Optimized the English translation.

In addition, the following issues are expected to be fixed.
1. An issue where an interaction can continue when it was
supposed to end in late night mode.
2. An issue with displaying the change of day in cat mode.
3. Adjusted the displayed upper limits of affection and interest to 999.
4. Adjusted the condition of "being attacked" to require a sexual act to have occurred.

In addition, we will announce scheduled updates after the release of this update.

Atmocity - Dispersing Minds
Hello,
The game has been updated to fix a minor bug in the mesh merger and adds a few new thigs (see below).
For the next version, I will be adding in some of the ideology specific decorations as well as continuing work on tidying up and polishing current features.
Hopefully I will be able to have some more frequent communication as I'm now finishing up on some of the work that has taken up (too much) time recently.

- Ideology building texts (in english) updated.
- Ideology building descriptiopns added (in english).
- Info label added for zones not growing below certain levels of city population.
- Added conglomerates being angered if tax rates for hotels are too high (similar to how it is for industry and commerce).

- Fix for null ref. error in mesh merger.

A quick look into the update:
  • A Complete rework of the game's entire codebase for optimization / new gameplay features / a solid foundation to build on further.
  • Splitscreen via Steam Remote Play, play with your friends online using splitscreen.
    Why not full multiplayer? I'll explain that below.
  • Hundreds of new items!
  • Entire new vehicle system, will not ping off into the atmosphere anymore, and are fun to drive!
  • Brand new save file system which is a lot more optimized and stable.
    This will not work with old save files, they'll still be accessible with the old game version on the steam beta tab.
  • This is a foundational update, not the final version of the game! Lots more planned from us here at Foulball Hangover.



The biggest update we've ever made!

Hydroneer 2.0 is released! Its the largest update we've ever done, and I couldn't be more proud. This is an incredible step forward for the game. The foundational features included in this update will not only make it easier for us to work on, but lay the groundwork for new items and mechanics!

The update has been in the works since January 2021, and it would be a lie if I told you we didn't have immense setbacks, from staffing issues to hitting roadblocks with the multiplayer development, we had to essentially start again in December 2021, throwing out a lot of work. With this, the final version of what we wanted multiplayer to be was completely changed.
Due to technical limitations of physics engines, and our dedication to staying indie and not taking on outside investors, I decided the best move forward was to make the multiplayer aspects of the update as Steam Remote Play Splitscreen. We've been heavily testing this and putting it through its paces and I am personally very impressed with how far its come since I last used it. If you've had the same discomfort of using it before, give it another try, you might be surprised by how smooth it is!

This update is gigantic and is a solid foundation both technically and in design for the future. We've got a lot of cool things we want to do in the future:
  • Update 2.1 - Farming Season. This update will bring farming, cooking, NPC interactions, and new vehicles to the game!
  • Update 2.2 - Tier 3. This update brings in more digging machinery AND will allow you to dig much deeper in the game, as well as a major gameplay feature.
  • After that, who knows! I don't see the development of Hydroneer stopping any time soon. As long as people are still interested, we'll make more stuff.
Finally, before I type out the mammoth amount of patch notes, I'd like to give you my thanks! Hydroneer was created as a passion project by myself, and I want to thank everyone in letting me carry on creating this. I love every day I get this awesome opportunity to work on it.

--- New Features

BIG STUFF
- Complete game codebase overhaul for foundational groundwork, and optimizations.
- Splitscreen via Steam Remote Play, play with your friends online using splitscreen.
- Complete vehicle rework - Trucks no longer fly off into the atmosphere and handle much better.
- New save file system which is more optimized and stable, with more features.

Building
- Brand new crafting system deep in the Icehelm mountain. Craft drills, harvesters, and more!
- Hand Sorter machine. Requires water input, pour resources into it to split them into categories.
- New TIERED drill system. These drills do not remove the dirt under them, instead only work to a certain depth depending on their tier.
- New Harvester tiers. Like the drills, will only work with dirt dug at certain depths depending on their tier.
- New tiered pipe systems, now players will start with Forged Iron Pipes, before moving to Cloutium Pipes.
- Building items now have 'Hooks'. These act as attachments onto items.
- Conveyors now hook onto pipes to allow for custom pipe networks.
- Conveyors have hooks such as dirt shredders, gem cutters, logic counters, etc.
- Pipe items are now split into hooks, filters, valve, pressure reader, etc.
- Some logic items are also split into hooks, as above.
- Additional logic hooks such as a 10 second delay, logic repeater, and flipflop.
- Invincible water filter for creative mode.
- Three different type of house building parts: Wood, Stone, and Cottage. These all have the same measurements and look great when the styles are mixed.
- Double wide wooden stairs.

Tools
- New Pickaxe and Shovel tools which can dig to a certain depth depending on their tier.
- Rake tool for levelling out dirt, helpful for building.
- Throwable TNT explosives.
- Firefly Jar lighting object.
- Toolbags can now be refilled by dropping spanners into them.

World
- Voxel plugin update. Performance improvements and much smoother voxels!
- Icehelm and Snowrune Falls areas added, with a new dig site in each.
- Icehelm horizontal dig site. Like normal dig sites, the deeper you go the better the resources.
- Travelling merchant who will sell you your first drill and harvester.
- New stores: Icehelm Housing, Icehelm equipment, and Bridgepour cottage store.
- Icehelm transporter pipes: send items directly through the abandoned city with ease.
- Unstuck points now have separate locations for players and vehicles.
- Stock market redesign - Now only purchase certain resources.

Misc
- Customisable 3rd person characters which are viewable from the customisation window, and when playing with friends. More styles to be added!
- NVIDIA DLSS - Deep Learning Super Sampling.
- Complete redesign of the game UI.
- New drop circle when carrying resources.
- New necklace and ring models for each specific gem.
- Brand new visual effects (VFX) throughout the entire game.

--- Fixes
- Character movement code rework. Input will no longer be locked out on an axis if that button is already held down when holding down the new axis button.
- Steam backend API accessor updated to Steamcore. Game will handle on steam a bit nicer, and fixing some crashing errors after closing the game.
- Day/Night cycle major optimizations and improvements.
- Fishing bobber now always lands in the correct orientation.
- Crafted items on the anvil will no longer ping away if a large item.
- Fixed issues with the cave textures.
- Lantern optimizations.
- Vehicles now collide with trees.
- Vehicle key tooltip now shows the controller keybinding if using controller.
- Fixed issues with keybindings being broken occassionally.


--- Changes
- Excavator vehicle removed (For now...)
- Vehicles all retextured to improve issues with resolution.
- Power items removed and merged into logic items. Things like the magnet and destroyer no longer require and drain power to operate.
- Storing items in things like toolracks no longer requires a mouseclick. When dropping the item, if looking at a eligible storage item, will store the item in there instead.
- Updated building items to have a more consistent rotations, making them easier to place down.
- Item descriptions and names have been updated for clarity.
- Compressor now has a logic input on the side.
- Compressor produces regular gems instead of Composite Gems. Will not work with un-cut gems!
- When using precision placement, using (by default) R, T, Y, keys will allow you to rotate the item.
- Pan now takes one scrub instead of two.
- Cloutium Ore now costs 170 per 1 weight instead of 35.
- Cloutium Bar now costs 200 per 1 weight instead of 40.
- Scraping items will give you scrap metal that costs 25% of the original value.
- Scrap Bars will increase the value of the Scrap metal by 2.
- Decreased the starting scale range of crafted items, and increased the max range.
- Picking up ores from a large pile will no longer wake up all ores around itself.
- Leg-X tool and logic supports removed as literally nobody used them lol.
- Placement types updated for items, this changes if an item can be placed in the sky or has to snap to an object.
- Cart movement reworked and improved.
- Scales reworked to be more stable and new model.
- Red/Blue placement material improved to show more detail in the item to make it easier to place.
- Vehicle store updated.
- Vehicles now take 4 water loads to refil instead of 5.
- Smelter model improvements.

Fixes
  • Reduced the difficulty scalar of each difficulty. The game now increases difficulty a little slower and runs start off a little easier as well
  • All items now drop 10% more often
  • Added a visual effect for the geomancy manual
  • Reworked some of the items that deal damage, like the tactical grenade launcher. Damage of such items now scale with player’s damage-enhancements
  • Static Brick’s extra attack now applies the electro effect for 6 seconds
  • Ancient Bark now properly heals ALL allies within the circle (It previously would heal the first ally to enter the circle)
  • The camera now shakes when the player takes damage
  • Buffed Eggnog’s regeneration to 0.5hp/sec (From 0.3hp/sec)
  • Buffed Feral Fruit’s health increase to 20hp each (From 10hp)
  • Buffed Lost Sole’s speed increase to 2% each (From 1% each)
  • Leveling up now increases health by 20% of base hp and not 20 flat hp
  • Tactical Grenade Launcher now also increases blast radius of grenades by 10% per launcher
  • Redesigned the molten canyon map layout due to an error corrupting the original map file
  • Reworked the lava in the Molten Canyon to be a little easier to escape
  • Fixed Holo-Gil crashing the game when having on-kill items
  • Cryo damage now deals 1 damage per second per stack
  • Cryo damage will no longer inflict freeze and only slows victims down to a minimum of 0.2 speed
  • Added a maximum particle count to avoid the game slowing down due to excessive particles
  • Reduced the spawn cooldown range for enemies (Enemies will spawn approximately 20% more often)
  • Burning Infection puddles are no longer permanent and only last 15 seconds

Spectral Doorway
A snowy permafrost atop Ato-Relictus’ highest mountains, when the rare Aurora Animus passes through is when the barrier between the spirit realm is the weakest.

Used for cold reads.

Attacks have a 10% chance to apply 1 stack of cryo for 2 seconds
(Additional Cryomancy Manuals add 2 seconds to the duration)


Electromancy Manual

Lightning always strikes at the darkest times.
Rarity: Rare
Killing enemies has a 12% chance to strike a random enemy with lightning, affecting them with electro and dealing high damage
(Additional Electromancy Manuals strike an additional enemy)


Heart-Shaped Box

You never know what you're gonna get.
Rarity: Legendary
Enemies drop truffles on kill that increase a random stat when picked up, buffs only last for the current stage

Lets start with the good new!
*Added a make shift clamp on the loader forks.
*operate the loader clamp - Keyboard - hold left shift + Click Rmb or Lmb
*operate the loader clamp - Controller - Hold LB + Move LeftStick up or down
You now have a place to sell the rough cut planks!
If you own the rough cut saw mill and are at it, And have $500 in the saw mill bank! then you might have locals hauling and selling you logs!
You will need to off log these. and if you off load a log but don't have the money for it. then it should place back on the truck.
When done unloading the truck you will need to tell the driver to go. I used my voice and it's not great but was more of a test!

I updated some of the ui!
The load lock went back to 2 keys or buttons.

Now The Bad New! :(
I have been getting a ton of crashes with unity3d.
And I have been reading that unity3d is not so good for open world games.
So The game will no longer be worked on I think for some time. really a dream killer makes me sad. ;(

But I am going to learn C++ Coding and moving over to unreal engine 5!
That's right!
Now this is not going to be a walk in the park!

But!! I am going to try to add in multiplayer too.

So I have to learn the engine and C++ then I have to rebuild the whole game.
I looked back in the code to make it better and seen I was working on this game in 2018.

But with that said if you find something not working well I do my best to do update to fix it.

Remember this is hobby game I am making so keep that in mind.
