In this Community Crunch, we're excited to share with the community another Creature Spotlight trailer for Fjordur! Many have been waiting for Desmodus to take flight since it won the second Community Creature Vote! This week we get one step closer to the inevitable debut of Desmodus on Fjordur! Here's your first look at the monstrous Desmodus, the next creature included with the free DLC map Fjordur!




Soar through the skies, instilling fear in your enemies with Desmodus as your deadly companion, and gain an undeniable advantage of stealth with the ability to cloak yourself amongst your surroundings.

Desmodus makes its appearance when Fjordur releases in June 2022!! Will it be love at first bite!?

Ark terrified me tonight. I was playing on Ragnarock, attempting my first Wyvern Egg steal. I was on my Pteranodon, Wasp, just kinda peeking in the trench and testing that Wasp could out fly the Wyverns. I was very nervous as I haven't really done this before. Then the weather kicked up. Rain and super loud thunder made my fear even worse. Upon hearing a second loud thunder clap, I had to stop. It was overwhelming. My goal is to eventually get all (er- most, not the void wyrm) wyvern types. I already have all the Crystal types. Now I'm on the last 4 types (poison, fire, lightning, and ice). I'm not giving up on this goal. I want to achieve this

We just got back from four incredible days at PAX East! Thanks to everyone who visited the Writer’s Block booth or followed along online.

A few highlights of our trip:

Meeting hundreds of players! We were blown away by the positive response to the demo. PAX visitors really enjoyed our tactical spin on word games.



Giving out Writer’s Block t-shirts to dozens of champions in our hourly word finding contest!



Unveiling our new Act 1 boss, the fearsome Block Knight and his lowly squire Blockhead. Steel yourself to take on his nigh invulnerable defenses.



Introducing 3 new powerup items, a taste of the 100+ different upgrades that will be in the final release.



Last but not least, we added keyboard support! Type your way to victory, or point and click with a mouse, the choice is yours. Look for an announcement early next week, we're adding it to our Steam demo!

• Frigg's melee combat attacks are now directionally controlled.
  
• Enemies no longer just wait around to be encountered and now occasionally wander and patrol around their home area -- some more than others.
  
• Increased the health of Skeleton Brutes significantly.

• Fixed an issue with spell drops that would occasionally cause them to become unresponsive.

• Added glowing Casting Circle beneath Frigg when a spell is being cast.

• Spellbook now scrolls correctly when selecting Spell items with a game controller.
  
• Polished Loading Screen tips a bit.

• Applied audio softening to pickups that were missing it.
  
• Casting runes now emit their own subtle sparkly audio.

"The Fighter bays" (level 13) is similar to "The Hanger". Though, you'll need to utilize orb and regular portals to clear even more bays this time.

There probably will not be a new level for a bit. These two were already in development before the Early Access release. Now that they are out, we will be looking at improving other aspects of the game.

Buildable Piece: 8x8 Test Bay. A small shelter like bay just large enough for one hovercraft.
