"The Hanger" (level 12) takes place on a carrier ship. You'll need to utilize the antimatter orb portals to clean both ship bays.

Wayward - Drathy
Here's just a small late-night update for you all while we continue working on the next major release. You'll find a healthy helping of bug fixes in this release with more on the way! Stay tuned!

Bonus Tip: Not sure where to start? Starting the game in "Casual Mode" may be recommended for new players to help get their bearings as it allows respawning and disables aggression from creatures. Check out the "Starter Quest" that explains some of the mechanics of the game. Just click the pinned "Welcome!" message that shows up in the bottom left corner to get started!

Reincarnate
  • Stat maximums now have their lower ends capped so stats cannot go past reasonable levels on reincarnation.
  • Skill values are now only randomized if the player had any skill in each, to begin with when reincarnating.
  • Strength is now randomized along with health and calculated together when reincarnating.
  • Stats now have randomized starting values (and are not set to their maximums on reincarnation).

Welcome to the April 2022 Coral Island development update!

This month, we'll go over Mount riding, New decor mode UI, and Combat!


Alpha v0.08 will launch on May 9 @ 11:59PM PDT.


Mount Riding

A trusty steed awaits you on Coral Island. To acquire one, you'll first need to build a stable on your farm. Some perks include increased movement speed and, most importantly, trotting into town with style.

Movement Mechanics

Dashing

We've added dashing to the game! It makes exploring the island more enjoyable, but it's also an essential move-set for combat, allowing you to dodge enemies.

Vaulting

We've gone and done it. Listened to and reviewed the feedback from alpha players and voila! Vaulting is officially in the game!

New decor mode UI

We're in the process of improving the interior decor UI. We added categories so you can find the items you're looking for more easily. There's also an added benefit: your house will now have storage space for furniture after upgrading it!

Combat

Our first iteration of combat will be available to test out in the upcoming Alpha update.

Fleshing out combat will be next, so we're looking forward to the feedback from the community, what feels good, what needs improving, ideas, thoughts, all of it! We'll do a deep dive into combat in a future update.

Hi everyone,

I've chosen to take the game down from the Steam marketplace for a handful of reasons, the main one being that the quality of the title does not meet my current standards. I would have liked to make some improvements to the game, but due to a series of unfortunate circumstances the source code for the game is lost, and I don't have the time or resources to rebuild it.

Thank you to everyone who played and enjoyed the game. It will still be in your library going forward, but no longer available on the Steam store on Sunday, May 1st.

Hello, dear Magistrates!

We have finished our Alpha test and time surely flew faster than ever. During this time, Hongye County has welcomed many Magistrates from all over the world who had different leadership styles. We were delighted to see your gameplay videos and all those wonderful screenshots. We were flattered by everyone's enthusiasm. We now feel a greater responsibility and an enormous motivation because of your amazing feedback we have received so far. We are thrilled to have this chance to improve Hongye experience to the next level.

During the test, more than 600 Magistrates took the reins of Hongye, and challenged the lands more than 3500 times! We had 400 responses to our in-game questionnaire and our thank you gift is already being prepared! In case you've forgotten, you'll be getting a special skin for Adviser's House.

We sincerely thank each of you who participated in the test, and shared all that amazing feedback with us. With all the good and bad within it, we will transform your feedback into a force that drives us forward and makes Hongye even better!

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the organiser Pixmian and other amazing people who worked on "Enter the Dragon" exhibition for giving us a means to put "Ballads of Hongye" under the spotlight. Our community grows even more thanks to you!


Currently, our Discord community has more than 1600 members, including many newcomers, who have directly given us more than 200 feedback. This feedback, combined with bug reports and questionnaire within the game, is imperative for us to set our priorities straight about what to improve about Hongye. We are mulling over each comment and doing our best to give anticipated responses so as to make BoH one of your favorite games in its genre.

Of course, there were several flaws that made the experience less than ideal. For example, as you surey noticed, we were justly criticised for crash issues due to highly demanding visuals and other reasons. Although we have been releasing patches during the test to fix them, we humbly admit that we still have a lot of room for improvement, as we were still finishing up on adding content and improving features. We would hate for you to suffer due to lack of optimisation, so we are going to start working on the overall optimisation once we have completed the development work.

Right now, we are investing a lot of our time polishing the current, more apparent issues in the game and we hope to bring you a more comfortable and pleasant experience in the future. So please stay tuned with us and keep enjoying your time on our Discord! Let's keep discussing how to make Hongye better.

Citizen Sleeper - B34ns


We're only a week out from the release of Citizen Sleeper! Let's cover off the skills you'll need to consider before you begin the game, along with the strengths and weaknesses of each character class.




ENGINEER: Work with machines and physical tools.
INTERFACE: Work with digital interfaces.
ENDURE: Use strength or strength of will.
INTUIT: Approach problems with awareness.
ENGAGE: Approach a problem head-on.


THE OPERATOR

The Operator is the Sleeper who is closest to the digital world of emulated minds and AI protocols. Has a +1 to 'Interface'. Will certainly be helpful in hacking and gathering secrets. But with a -1 to 'Endure', in their weakened state you'll want to be careful with your choices.


THE EXTRACTOR

Extractors are the Sleepers who, in particular, spend a lot of time alone in dangerous places. A good brute force option, with a +1 to 'Endure'. However, they often won't notice the bigger picture whilst problem solving, which could have consequences. Takes a hit to 'Intuit' with -1.


THE MACHINIST

Machinists are tinkerers, diligently keeping AI controlled tech and drones working in the field. A good option if you want to get your hands dirty with odd jobs from the start in the shipyard. Benefits from a +1 to 'Engineer', although suffers a -1 to 'Engage', which affects their ability to approach problems head on.
