Winter and People - LkerX
Hello everyone from a new update of Winter and People!

In this update, we made some system, logical and visual fixes and additions.

- To build a structure, you had to select it again each time. Now when you select a building, you can build it continuously until you stop building it.

- The sounds of the towers were becoming more and more disturbing as their numbers increased. But in this version you can hear them whenever you want. You won't hear their loud noises unless you put your camera in close mode and get close to them.

- The best way to tell when enemies are coming is to hear their footsteps. These crowded footsteps were repetitive. With a little tweaking, we were able to achieve a more realistic footstep sound.

- We noticed that the enemies were coming very fast and got some feedback. That's why we've made some changes to the duration of enemy raids. They won't come as fast as before!

- We know that many players have difficulty assigning their workers' occupations. In this version we have added an infobox that shows you how to assign workers to their jobs.

- You may have noticed that when you click on a hut to assign a profession, it sometimes doesn't detect it. We have stabilized this system and you can assign professions to your people very easily.

- You remember that when you click on a person's home and place of work, they say "my home" and "my work". We realized that it was very ugly and we completely redesigned it. From now on, his home or workplace will be self-revealing by flashing.

- The menu background is now replaced with in-game visuals. You may encounter images of cities randomly.

🎯 [UI] Upon player death, the suffered damage types as well as the biggest damage dealer is presented in the UI.
🎯 [Item] A new Active Auxiliary item called "Purger" has been added. It removes up to three random debuffs to all friendlies in an area around the caster.

🎯 [Bug fix] Enemies further away from client players when playing COOP are now synchronized to clients. This should solve an issue related to incorrect enemy positions when playing as client given a sensor range higher than ~2000.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed an issue related to enemies and summons being incorrectly synched (and thus invisible) for clients when playing COOP.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed a physics collision bug for area of effect buffs that could occur on rare circumstances.

Additions:
- Crafting each item takes 3 seconds now
(items will have different crafting timings in the future)


Changes:
- Added more range to spears
- Barrels are broken much harder with the rock now
- When pressing the place button it automatically closes inventory screen

Bug Fixes:
- FIXED ALL INVENTORY AND HOTBAR KNOWN ISSUES FOR NOW:
- Showing wrong item in hand
- Items no longer making new stacks when other non-full stacks are present in inventory
- Changing Building material or repairing now make sounds and particles
- After pressing the place button if you move items in inventory the placing hologram will dissapear

Tales From Hoia Baciu Forest will be a first-person adventure game that will contain multiple parts.
Part.1 will have a story of a village that seems friendly, but every villager has their own dark secrets.
The game will be released as early access FREE on steam soon and will have part 1 which has short gameplay.
The future stories will have more gameplay and stories based on known mysteries.

  • Added a menu to display the mounts (N by default)
  • Possibility to press twice quickly on N to call the last called mount
  • The Mount button is no longer available on the mounts (in the wild)
  • The attach button is no longer available on mounts (in the wild)
  • Tools are picked up automatically when you pass over them when you are on a mount
  • The "N" key button allows to exit the mount
  • Mounts appear anywhere, it is no longer necessary to go to a mount to mount it

Blind Descent - Emrehan

Hey, everyone!

This month, we focused on overhauling the main AI systems along with behavior design, as well as improving the ability to create new AI characters for gameplay designers. Since there are quite a few AI in our game, it was very time consuming but we managed to refactor the base and that gave us an opportunity to further improve the existing AI designs. Along with developments on AI systems, we've also added a new injury and healing system, which will add a new depth to your survival experience. At this very moment we are working on the combat system, creating new environmental assets and also work on the clothings.

We plan to make a major overhaul of our environment, so we are still adding new assets like rocks, trees and plants.

Here's a quick list of what we did this month and what we are planning for the coming month.

✏️ COMPLETED PAST MONTH

- The AI framework and base code have been completely rewritten for a better structure.
- All existing AI's have been reimplemented into the game using the new system.
- Injury systems are added, your body parts can now be injured and this will require certain types of treatments.
- Armor systems have been improved. Since we have an injury system, armor is now becoming more important.
- Melee combat is recreated from the ground up. It's way more responsive and feels better to fight with.
- Damage execution improvements.
- We are continuing to create new environmental assets for the major overhaul of the map.
- We're working on the new characters and their clothing.

📌 PLANS FOR NEXT MONTH

- We will be finishing the melee and ranged combat systems.
- Quest system will be implemented.
- Dialogue systems will be implemented.
- We will do more cleanups and refactorings of the base code.
- We will revisit AI systems to further improve them.
- More improvements in lighting.
- More environmental assets will be created.
- More work on armor and new clothing.

XpCade - dpbass
Game has been changed almost completely. Now it's a survival horror. We are still work in progress to improve your experience.
Play and program in the arcade room, explore the wasteland, find supplies and survive giant spiders.

Game is still in development, so subscribe and stay tuned. Game may change during the development.

We already have an XpCade project running on Steam, this prototype is going to be the base for the next update to it, when finished.

Hi Everyone!

Just releasing a quick update to fix a few bugs we've found over time - nothing huge. Let us know if you run into any new issues!

Here are the changes:
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes when starting a new game and skipping the tutorial, the game would soft lock until you restarted it.
  • Fixed an issue where the newspaper was not correctly showing every time you loaded a save during the morning
  • Fixed a bug where dialogue conversations that were queued up to be with NPC's were not saving properly
  • Fixed various small issues with Expert difficulty not properly handling all the ways that you can give up or fail a potion, and made it so you could no longer work on a past-deadline potion.
  • Updated the difficulty stars for a few quests where the stars weren't really accurate to the actual difficulty. (Potions are still the same requirements/rewards, just the stars are changed)
  • Added a few more random headlines for fun!
