To achieve detailed tracks in the game, detailed track surroundings are needed. However, creating those manually would require much time, so I decided writing a procedural generator for my needs was the best way.

First, I created two biomes: City and Nature. Both biomes are a bit different in terms of safety nets positions, curbs, etc. This article will focus on merging these two into a functional surroundings generator.

Q: What will happen with my progress? Is it some type of scam on the players?
A: Everything you unlocked and purchased will transfer into Engine Evolution 2022 when released. You will lose nothing + get new features.

Q: Why do you do it then?
A:
1) Releasing a new version helps me to better explain to everybody that I have implemented a lot of features since the last version.
2) I will get rid of outdated reviews that will never be gone/updated on EE 2021.
3) Marketing is a big part of any game's success. This gives me a fresh chance to introduce myself to Steam's audience using updated graphics.

Q: Why should I wishlist and download EE 2022?
A: It will get more frequent patches than the older versions. It also helps me market the new game -> more players -> I can produce even better EE 2023 one day/maybe expand the team from a single person to several.

This Easter, there are strange sightings of formations containing abnormal, egg-like structures of an unknown origin. Thanks to our residential code doctor, Knits, these structures have been secured and are safer to handle if encountered.

Our coordinator Emily remains adamant that you should be on the lookout for an unknown individual that seems to be highly interested in the content of these mysterious formations. She also took a liking to a garment collection we've never heard of that just happened to find its way to her headquarters. She says customizable pants are all the rage this season. Could this be related to the recent events? Proceed at your own (curiosity) risk...

Well, Ritual says there's only one way to find out. Where's your sense of adventure, clones? The odds are 50/50 that in two weeks, we will be marking this peculiar occurrence as yet another wonder in the bleak reality of Wasteland. If you like your chances, don't let us stop you.

Hello everyone,

Today, we’re happy to once again be heavily expanding the offerings of the newly introduced Conquest mode! Update 180 adds an additional 6 Conquest areas to the game, bringing the number of available Conquest areas up to 18. With the added easy-to-use level and/or game mode changing via the in-game server settings, admins and players alike should be able to tailor exactly the experience they’d like!

The update also includes another polish pass to the deployment UI, an AFK to Spectate feature and several minor fixes and improvements.

Update 180 Patch Notes
  • Added 4 new Conquest areas in the South Mountain level: Log Cabin, Wheat Fields, Rocky Slopes and Hilltop.

  • Added 2 new Conquest areas in the Antietam level: Limestone Bridge and Waterways.

  • The Server Settings menu now allows server admins to change game mode and level on the fly without having to restart their server. Note that this feature requires mass testing and so please report any issues you might experience that are tied to it.
  • The deployment screen now allows for previewing the state of the spawn queues on the main base or the flag spawn by simply clicking on either one.
  • The deployment screen now provides a much more detailed state of your company's flag bearer, helping you determine if it's worth it to remain in the flag spawn queue or not. This info can be viewed even while in the queue of the main Infantry spawn.
  • Improved the 1st person exit animations of Ready and Melee Mode with a bayonet attached.
  • Added an automatic AFK system, moving the AFK player into the spectating team. This happens sooner during Last Stand in order to cut down on AFK players prolonging the length of the event.
  • Capturing all 3 capture points in the Conquest mode while the enemy is in Last Stand no longer results in an instant win. Instead, the Counter-Attack mechanic will be triggered (as is the case in all other morale level scenarios already). We have done this to eliminate the very hard-to-understand victories that could occur due to the above mechanics.

First, I divide the world into cells.


We then assign biome to each cell, and then we push this information into part of the system, then translates this information into cities, etc.



When we have our biome cels, we can draw paths on their edges.



This looks terrible, and we need to paint the terrain under the paths. Maybe it is best to paint the whole terrain. City and fields would be pretty dull, and we will introduce the forest biome to spice things up. We will triangulate each cell and paint the terrain under it.


Oops, it looks like we missed the edges on the map's border.



Now we have a nice texture, but it is very pixelated. So we need to antialias the terrain texture.


Nice job! The first version of the map generator is complete. Let us see it on a different map.

Tower Tactics: Liberation - asraworks
Highlights

  • Enchantments can now be cast using Spell Mana!
  • You can now add more than one of the same trinket in Custom Runs. In addition to that, you can now set negative values in some of the stats.

    Arcane Rifle has received a rework! In its original state, it didn't play into the spell caster archetype very well. With this change, you'll really want to play spells with it on the board!

    • Attack speed buff: +25% for each current Spell Mana you have -> +20% for each Spell Mana you spent this combat.
  • Mana Artillery
    • Range: (300, 400, 500) -> (400, 500, 600)
    • Magic Damage: (30, 90, 270) -> (50, 150, 450)

Bug Fixes
  • #1: Crystal shooting gun still uses crystals when there is a cloaked enemy
  • #2: If an event causes you to lose trinkets, you can save and reload to get them back
  • #14: Star Power reduces the cost of all Enchantments played not just the first
  • #17: If you have multiple Holy Mantles, there's no indication of the extra protection
  • #18: If you get the avid reading enchantment first turn with mystical feather and spell mastery, it reads as 0 mana, but it costs 1 mana
  • #19: The Sanctuary tutorial is overlapped by the Custom Run button
  • #20: After losing a custom run, when returning to the custom run window, the starting deck is shown correctly. But when you click on a +/- for a card to alter the deck, the deck updates, and becomes a copy of the deck you had when you lost the run.
  • #21: If you lose the Holy mantle or the Book of virtues thanks to an event, they continue to recharge and avoid damage
  • #22: When restarting a Custom Run, it uses your selected campaign deck
