· And it really is. It is difficult to describe in words the horror and suffering experienced by the patients of the abandoned Black Rose Psychiatric Hospital.
They have been tortured, they have been investigated, they have been like guinea pigs, and it is hard to believe...



· But what young policeman Adam Bernhard had to experience on the very night he received and went to Black Rose on a night patrol was even worse.
The walls of the abandoned psychiatric hospital are saturated with horror and fear, you can still hear crying and other creepy noises, even when no one is around.
Their souls are still there, but their bodies are dead. The walking dead live there, and they will do anything to keep you from leaving the Black Rose grounds alive.



· Also, we have some good news that we would like to share with you:
We've sent the finished Afterlife VR build to Steam for review and are waiting for their approval.
This is a really happy event that brings Afterlife VR to the early access.

· A lot of work has been done and today we're happy to tell you about it. We also want to thank you for your attention and support, it motivates us to work harder.

Not Another Dungeon?! - Daggerbunny Studios
Dear Adventurer,
we received a lot of really valueable feedback. Thanks for that! In this event post, I'll be talking a bit about what some of the most common things were the players did not like about the game and how we are approaching on changing them for the better. We recoded a good chunk of the entire game, too.

Gameplay Depth
Not Another Dungeon?! is a casual experience. Some would say, it's gameplay is flat. A lot of things do not have any meaningful impact. We want to change that, but not forget the simplistic approach which makes Not Another Dungeon?!. We simply want to add more to discover. And by that, we mean a lot more to discover. We really like the "easy to learn, hard to master" aspect of our game and by adding a lot more of diversity and bit more of complexity, we aim to make Not Another Dungeon?! a better experience for both casual and tryhard gamers.

The Ability Card System
The by far worst-received feature of the current state of Not Another Dungeon?! is the Ability Card System - The cards on your hand which you draw from your deck. They simply have almost no impact right now - except for the Guild, which is, and is for all times going to be, the key to our gameplay. We just wanted the other Ability Cards to feel more diverse and impactful. While the old cards were mostly small tools to help the player perfecting enemies (bringing them to exactly 0 health to gain bonus points), we wanted to rework that entire system. Not only did we add a lot of more Ability Cards, we also introduced a whole lot of new mechanics (like Shields and Status Effects) which they bring to the table as well as a system to keep early-game cards relevant until the end: Scaling. Cards like Quick Punch will not deal 1 damage, but instead 1->5, which means that the strength of the card increases while progressing through the dungeon. This, combined with the less cards a new hero adds to your deck, should make for some more strategic, diverse and fun runs.

Abilities
We simply changed or removed any abilites from units that we thought have no impact on the game at all. Abilities used multiple times were put into so-called "Status Effects", which can be seen on the bottom of the card. Those keywords replace the buffs, such as Puppy Protection and the Banners. Units that you receive later in the game have more complex effects than those you start with, although we try to keep the card effects as simple as possible.

Quality Of Life
"Why do I have to choose a target for every single Ability Card, even if it does not have any effect on the selected unit?" - We are changing that. Instead of dragging all Ability Cards on a target, we changed it so you drag the card you want to use in the center of the screen and then select your target(s) (yes, we do have a few new Ability Cards which require more than one target). Although this takes a bit of time to get used to, we found this approach to be a lot less frustrating and clear than the old one. We are still thinking about adding an option to revert to the old system, but this is really unlikely.

Of course, we are also adding a lot of new content, such as a new Booster Pack with 21 new heroes, a few new collectables and a brand-new dungeon into the game. I don't want to get too specific here, you'll have to wait for the update itself to find out what exactly is new.

Not Another Dungeon?! will release it's version 2.0.0 May 1st, 2022.

Huge thanks to everyone who has tried our game so far, we're very happy to be at 10 reviews and they're all positive!

We added a couple of things after hearing your feedback.


1. Extra hints to help you find the legendary shells, take a look in your journal!

My brother in law (usually a very kind and quiet man) said he'd put a brick through our window if he couldn't find the last legendary shell. I can't imagine how crazy it must have made players who don't know or like us.

Our programmer said before we released, "I think this last shell is too difficult and we should add more hints." I replied, "Nahhh it's fine, people love a challenge!" I was wrong and promise to listen to him in future.


2. Additional UI feedback for combos!

Another family story but, I am SO pleased that I've finally made a game that my mum enjoys. She has over 80,000 points in Seashell and found everything excluding the Nautilus and Carrier, somehow, because she had no idea about the combo system. I made the glowing outlines of a full 4 shell combo thicker and added a little animation. Hopefully it's more obvious on tiny mobile phones.


3. Fixed some gross colour banding on the dialog popups that nobody will notice but me.

If you have any requests for new features or find any bugs please let us know. Though bugs are also cool, this game is about finding molluscs.

Hey there!

A small update for all you Minesweeper Extreme: 100 fans.

  1. Your character now has 2 HP instead of 1 HP. Since you can die on the first mine, this will hopefully make the game feel less unfair.
  2. When you take your first hit, you will have 5 seconds of invincibility so if you want to dig in a straight line really quick, you now have the ability to do that. But only for 5 seconds. Be quick about it.
  3. I have started writing the code which will let you customize your minesweeper games. It'll take me at least a week to have an early version of this ready. My plan is to let you change some elements of the game, such as
  • Increasing your HP (1/2/3/4)
  • Increasing the HP for everyone in the chat (1/2/3)
  • Countdown timer
  • How often earthquakes happen (15/30/45/60/90/120 seconds)
  • Earthquakes enabled/disabled
  • Size of the starting grid

Everyone has their own minesweeper preferences, so I'll do the best I can to give you some more control there.
