Crystal Clash - Fe2lx
Hello!

This is a quick info about some hotfixes we will implement today. With the amount of deep frozen marksmen spreading like weeds, we saw an immediate need for adjustments. It will be accompanied by some changes aimed at allowing a variety of strategies in general but also having an interesting tournament in about two weeks. 😊

In that regard the marksmen will be nerfed with a slight range and damage decrease. Deep freeze will increase health less than before, which brings it more in alignment with other comparable spells like Giant Growth.

As the MOAG and mirror slime are other very dominant units at the current state, they also get a slight nerf (MOAG in damage dealing and Slime in health received by enchantments).

Frail Hearts: Versicorae Domlion - bearplaster

Rosemary, heaven restores you in life
You're coming with me
Through the aging, the fearing, the strife

The new chapter of our city life! It’s been a while since our last ā€œseanceā€ with you. And we have some news here. From now on we are the ā€œFrail Hearts: VERSICORAE DOMLIONā€!

This change was inspired by the characters of our game. Many of them are frail, and their hearts keep bleeding every single day. The thing is to bring them to salvation. That is a kind of evolution, indeed, but mental evolution primarily.

We are now happy to announce one more powerful alliance and friendship. Ravenage is a game publisher which took us under its wing. Together, with their wisdom and our passion, we will forge the primal fear for you.

Beware of what’s coming further.
See you!
BattleBit Remastered Playtest - See12RunTTV
UPDATE: We are sorry to announce the playtest has been postponed. Please see this post for further info.

Hello everyone!

First, we'd like to thank you all for your support and patience since the end of the February playtest. We know that you've all been eager to play, especially those looking to try the game for the first time!

It has been an exciting yet difficult experience since the unexpected gain in popularity back in January. The downtime provided by the lack of a public test in March has allowed us the ability to work under less pressure and conduct proper internal tests for new fixes, improvements and features. It's also has served as an opportunity for us to take a breath, catch up and orient ourselves.

Our third playtest launches today at 11AM ET and ends April 10th @ 11AM ET!
(feel free to join our Discord to keep track of announcements)

Server Region Coverage
Let's talk about this for a bit. By now, most of you should know that our main cost is servers. Prices vary and some regions are extremely more expensive than others. Thanks to our Patrons, we have some funds available but we have to be smart and efficient with its usage, as it's still on the lower end considering the demand of a worldwide playerbase not to mention all other development costs. So for this test, we will provide the following server locations. This was the most cost effective solution we could achieve, and luckily the game is tested and optimized for high pings so your gameplay experience should not take a major hit. We hear your requests for various regions such as OCE, South America, Asia, etc. We will continue to search for the right providers.

  • France
  • Amsterdam
  • Singapore
  • Chicago (US Central)
  • LA (US West) - secondary function as best region for Japan
  • Texas - secondary function as best region for South America

We ask that you keep in mind that this is a playtest, not a demo. This game is still under development and we are testing many important features & tools. This means there's a chance that you encounter issues, instability, bugs/glitches. It is our hope that they are very MINIMAL, although we cannot make any promises, other than that we will continue to improve! Don't forget to share your best moments with us on Twitter using #BBRClips! See you on the Battlefield!

PATCH NOTES

Here's a sample of the the work we've been able to accomplish since we last met. Please do note that the following list is not exhaustive and there are many other behind the scenes changes & tweaks.
  • Fully functional party system and social tab. Ability to invite players to a party and ability to join them via Steam friends tab or in-game. Build your party before starting matchmaking or joining via server browser and they'll receive a notification that allows them to follow you to the match!

A squad will automatically be created for your party, and will persist between matches. Invites can be received at any time, even in Shooting Range. Access the Social Tab in the main menu simply by hovering over it, while it is accessed in-game via the Home key. This was developed in response to high volume of requests. In this first iteration we have tried to provide proper functionality, so please let us know your experience with it!

Spirit Island - MigrantP
This update for the Multiplayer Public Beta is all about communication! It introduces planning markers and text chat, along with various bug fixes for problems reported by you, the players. Thanks for sending in your feedback, it's an essential part of getting multiplayer ready for everyone.

If you'd like to join the public beta, visit our website to learn all the details.

Planning Markers
To help develop your strategy, you can add a marker to any land indicating your plans. Five different markers are available to choose from. This feature is available in both single player and multiplayer modes. To learn more, visit the How to Play screen in-game.

Quickly set a planning marker on a land by right clicking it, then clicking on a marker. Click a different marker to change it, or the same marker again to remove it. Alternatively, you can set a planning marker from Spirit Foresight by inspecting a land and clicking a button at the top of the detailed display.

All planning markers are automatically removed at the end of the turn when Time Passes.

In multiplayer, anyone can change the planning marker on any land. The last other player to do so will have their avatar icon shown with the marker.

Text Chat
Spirit Island multiplayer now includes integrated text chat. Click the button or press "T" on the new game, in-game, or end game screens to send a message to other players.

Steam Deck
We've made a few small adjustments to improve the experience on Steam Deck:
  • Zooming in/out on the 3D board using the bumpers now works better.
  • Press B to go back, open the menu, etc.
  • Press X to toggle Spirit Focus.
  • Press Y to open multiplayer text chat.

Development Roadmap
Keep track of our development progress on the public beta Trello board. Please note that several items are still in development and are not yet available:
  • Various scenarios are not yet playable in multiplayer
  • In-game invites via URL/Discord

Other notable fixes in this update:
  • The game over check for Dahan Insurrection now happens at the correct time, fixing a problem where it could only show to certain players in some cases.
  • Fixed various problems with undoing growth options that could lead to incorrect behavior. Special thanks to WolfRowland92 for reporting lots of these with great info!
  • Disabling the top tier of Heart of the Wildfire's first innate power now works as expected.
  • Fixed a freeze that could occur during the Spirit Phase in the Powers Long Forgotten scenario.
  • The Grant Hatred a Ravenous Form threshold now works properly when there are fewer than 3 applicable adjacent lands to choose from.
  • The Discord fear card now interacts properly with Dahan Insurrection.
  • The Fortification event now interacts properly with England's alternate loss condition.
  • You may now skip playing the Major Power card gained from Call on Midnight's Dreams in multiplayer.
  • The Grim Toll event no longer asks you to choose lands when nothing would happen.
  • Sweden no longer asks for the order of ravaging when the special blight rule would not actually apply.
  • Sky Stretches to Shore now interacts properly with Fire & Flood.
  • Fixed undo and visual issues with Slave Rebellion when playing without events.
  • Fixed a visual glitch between Command Beasts and Gift of Constancy at the end of turn.
  • The Panic fear card now works properly when France replaces a stricken Explorer with a Town.

Isonzo - Wilson
Isonzo Intel #8 explained how the visual customization system will work in the game, with uniforms, headgear, mustaches and more selectable based on faction and class. To complement this system and the visual customization options in the standard edition, we’re going to be releasing cosmetic packs to allow people to expand the range of visual choices they have. The base options in the game (some you start with, some you unlock via the progression system, like late-war uniforms) give people hundreds of combinations to choose from, and the cosmetic packs will expand that number exponentially!

Every cosmetic unit pack has a theme based on some of the most historically notable, unusual, or just visually impressive real life groups or formations. For instance, the Veteran Units pack includes some of the hardest fighting troops from both sides - the highly decorated Sardinian ā€˜Sassari’ brigade for Italy, and the Hungarian Honved for Austria-Hungary. To further fit the theme of battle hardened soldiers, you can expect dirty uniforms and cosmetic options like the bandage on the man to the left below…

Work in progress shot of the Italian content for a ā€˜Veteran Units’ cosmetic pack, featuring Sardinian troops from the renowned Sassari Infantry Brigade, whose two regiments both won a Gold Medal of Military Valor!

As we explained back in Dev Blog 8, uniforms and headgear are linked to specific classes, while mustaches and facial items can be mixed and matched freely with any class. We also aren’t limiting ourselves with these themes - for instance, while the Sassari are the highlights of the Veteran Units pack for the Italians, many of you have probably recognized the Bersaglieri uniforms in the lineup above! With the customization system we can link historic uniforms to the roles they most commonly performed in battle or their specializations.

For instance, the Alpine Units pack was inspired by general winter uniforms as well as the dedicated mountain troops from each country, along with appropriate headgear and facial items including balaclavas, wooly hats, and goggles. Mustaches options include thick beards like the Tsar Nicholas II and the George V. There’s even a KaiserjƤger uniform including skis carried on their back…

A little teaser for our planned Alpine Units pack.

The Elite Units pack includes Bersaglieri cyclists for Italy, the Bosnisch-Hercegovinische Infanterie for Austria-Hungary, and more! The ā€˜Bosniaks’ as they were known were drawn from outside of the Austrian and Hungarian areas of the country, but were considered elite despite being part of the Common Army (the K.u.K.) which was often underequipped compared to the Imperial Austrian Landwehr and the Royal Hungarian HonvĆ©d. As you can see from the image below, they have a distinctive appearance and share some of the rugged look of the troops from the Veteran Units pack.

Austro-Hungarian ā€˜Bosniak’ troops from the Elite Units pack, with their distinctive fez hats.

We want to be clear that the cosmetic unit packs will only contain visual customization items, and we are not going to create DLCs containing gameplay features like new maps or weapons. So rest assured that buying Isonzo will get you all gameplay content available now or in the future, and there will be no pay to win.

Part of our goal with the WW1 Game Series has always been to shine some light on lesser known areas of the war and to highlight just how many different groups took part, and ensuring variety in the uniforms you see on the battlefield are one of the best ways to do this. We’re looking forward to recreating and including more of the different units and formations which took part in the war, thanks to the new customization system in combination with these cosmetic unit packs. The plan is that everyone can enjoy the greater visual variety as they play, while being able to choose if they want to buy specific sets of uniforms for themselves.

Isonzo Special Editions
Isonzo will not ship with a Supporter’s Edition DLC like Verdun and Tannenberg. Instead we will be offering two special editions of the game, along with a pre-order bonus.

The base game will cost around $29.99 / €29.99 / Ā£24.99.

Pre-order Unit Pack
For those who order the game ahead of release on consoles, we will be offering the Avanti Savoia pack as a bonus. The theme is senior officers, and as such it comes with staff officer uniforms and caps for both sides (for the Officer class, unsurprisingly) as well as two impressive mustaches and two facial items which can be used with any class. This is a small cosmetic pack with 10 items - most of our packs will contain between 30-40 items!

On Steam there is no pre-order, but the Avanti Savoia pack will instead be a bonus for everyone who buys the game in the first week of release.

The Avanti Savoia pack gives you higher ranking officer uniforms - the ā€œMaggior Generalā€ for the Italians and the ā€œGeneralmajorā€ for the Austro-Hungarians. It’s a bonus for pre-order on consoles or week one purchase on Steam.

Deluxe Edition
This is probably the closest thing to the old Supporter Editions. It will cost around $39.99 / €39.99 / Ā£33.49, and will include two cosmetic packs - the Reserve Units pack and Veteran Units pack - along with the extra content you might see in a Supporter Edition. That means the soundtrack, the black and white Film Memoir visual mode to experience the game like a period film, and high-res artwork including wallpapers and renders.

Collector’s Edition
For our biggest fans, we have the Collector’s Edition clocking in at around $59.99 / €59.99 / Ā£49.99. It will include the same bonus content as the Deluxe Edition, but four cosmetic packs instead of two - including the Elite and Alpine Unit packs on top of the Reserve Units and Veteran Units!

Isonzo at W.A.S.D and… PAX East!
Don’t forget that WW1 Game Series is attending the W.A.S.D video game expo in London today until Saturday the 9th. Here, you'll be able to play Isonzo for the first time available in public! You can find us at booth GG1, so be sure to stop by, fight on the Italian front, and have a chat with some of the WWI Game Series' team.

We will also be coming to PAX East this year, from April 21-24! Isonzo will be playable there too - we’ll share more info about where to find us closer to the time!

Join the Isonzo Beta
If you can’t make it to W.A.S.D or PAX, there’s still a way to play Isonzo before release, if you’re willing to help us with feedback that is. The Isonzo closed beta tests are still ongoing, and we’re looking for more participants! If you’re interested, you can {LINK REMOVED}

There’s no guarantee that everyone who signs up will get a chance to be part of the closed beta, since we pick people based on various criteria from hardware and server region to playtime. But given that we’re keen for more people to try the game, the odds are good!

That’s all for this week. We hope to see some of you at W.A.S.D or PAX!

Wishlist Isonzo now!

Patch note

🐰Single version difficulty patch

Improved the difficulty of the current single player difficulty.

- The 3-star clear has a similar difficulty level as before, and is suitable for those who want to take on a challenge.
- Adjusted the balance so that you can play the next map with relatively little effort when you aim to clear 2 stars.

🐰Improved the problem of hard to catch objects that have fallen on the ground

By modifying the collision box of objects to be larger, it has been improved to make it easier to catch objects on the ground.

🐰Other bug fixes

- Fixed an issue where the shadows were not appearing properly on "Day 6".
- Fixed an issue where the floor movement time of the stage on "Day 10" was out of sync.
- Fixed an issue where the last train of "Day 14" would bring items that were placed on the first train.
- The problem that the texture of the oil tank among the background objects is displayed incorrectly has been resolved.
- The center point of the garbage has been corrected so that there is no awkwardness when rolling.

About future improvements

Until today, about a week after the release of Early Access, many users have been enjoying the game.
And many users also commented things that need improvement. Here are the highlights:

🐰To customize the key setting

🐰Insufficient description of play

🐰Too difficult

🐰Online multiplayer support

We are listening to each and every one of them, and we are discussing how we can improve them.
When we can deliver more detailed information, we will guide you through each item again.
Thank you.
Edengrall - luisedgm
The new pieces are mostly stone parts, including medium tower and castellations, but also 11 clay roof tile parts with 2 more being worked on. These parts will be on the next alpha which will come out this week as soon as my brother finishes the rewriting of the xml importing system to fix the serious problems we found with it.

The game is probably less stable right now since we had to change fundamental parts of how several elements are saved so we will need some help testing once we release the next nightly build.

The building update is about 30% done, the xml rewrite was a big setback, we need now to finish:

-Improve building UI to expand and make it easier to find the pieces you want (since we have more than doubled the amount of pieces)
-Add snap-point furniture like doors and windows that snap into frames and can be interacted with
-Add Large tower parts (4 meter radius stone tower parts)
-Export buildings to the workshop

We will also add the mod samples that are 99% done and we haven’t released yet because of the rewrite as soon as we are sure everything is working.
