Kainga: Seeds of Civilization - KaingaDev
Hello Kaingans!

I've been working hard on the upcoming "Inventions" update which will be arriving before the end of the month!
Here's some news and information on what exciting new inventions are being worked on:

Conventions:

First the big news: I'll be taking Kainga to my first gaming convention! I'll be at PAX East in Boston between April 21st to April 24th! If you happen to be at the convention, swing by booth number 22057 and say hi!

Inventions:

The main focus of this update (hence the name "inventions") is expanding the list of unusual technologies in Kainga. This is everything from elevators, drawbridges, and grenadiers to more creative things like the skyhook cannon, sea-mines and new land, water and air-based vehicles!



I've added dozens of new technologies including an entire set of unique synergy technologies that only occur when two specific techs are selected. This will greatly increase the variety in your runs and I'm excited to hear feedback on this new system.



In addition to technology, I've been working on the new region to be revealed in this update is "The Towers" and it is personally my most anticipated region.

It's very extreme vertically and has an abundance of resources and fertility but a lack of space to expand. In comparison to the islands of "The Pebbles", bridges connecting the rocky craigs create a high amount of accessibility while maintaining a feeling of isolation.



It took a long time to get right, but I'm really happy with how it's turned out. I look forward to your responses on this new challenge!

As you can see in the gif above, there's also a new flying creature to be added in this upcoming update: the Firebird which is actually based off of a real creature that swims underwater!

In addition to all that is above, I've added a new Thinker and of course been working to improve the AI, pathfinding and gameplay quirks.

Pirates of Gravitae - Gravitae Pirate
Hello everyone,

Since the game launched 7 days ago, it has been great watching people play it on YouTube and Twitch, as well as to hear direct feedback from players. This first update is aimed to address some of the most frequently mentioned requests from the community.

Version 0.51b is now out and brings the following changes:

Difficulty Adjustment
The default difficulty level of the game has been lowered, in order to be a bit more forgiving and welcoming for new players.

If you were fine with the old difficulty, however, the new Difficulty Level dropdown in Settings > Gameplay Options will let you set it back to Hard for the original experience. And if you were really hoping for even more punishment, try the Very Hard difficulty!

Ease of Play
The default input behaviour for engaging the thrusters used to be pressing and holding the left mouse button, and you had the option to change it to a toggle kind of behaviour. Things have switched around with this update, where new players will find a single click will turn their engines on and off, without having to hold the button down. Players who want finer control over their thrusters can go back to the older method from Settings > Gameplay > Control Bindings.

The firing arc of the main cannons have also been increased to make aiming and firing easier, especially for new players who are getting used to firing broadsides from their aircraft!

Progression
All persistent upgrades to your ship are unlocked with Blueprint fragments, and finding them could be hard in the older version. With this update players always get at least one Blueprint fragment in each run, to allow constant progress even with frequent defeats.

Misc Improvements
The wording of some sailor perks have been changed to better explain what they do. Plus I've fixed small issues here and there that I have noticed.

  • Fixed: Inventory items may disappear after moving to a new map. (This situation doesn't include Prologue schedule to chapter 1.)
Level Specific: Chapter 1
  • Fixed: The first mission could be completed by hit wrong snakes. This may mislead players.
Level Specific: Chapter 2
  • Changed: The Dark Death will no longer chase player randomly if the cutscene before portal is triggered.
  • Changed: Reduced chase rates of the Dark Death.
  • Fixed: The long chair may look weird after loading a game.
Level Specific: Epilogue
  • Fixed: Backward wall of the maze is not deactivated by default.
  • Fixed: The feast table cutscene plays every time after loading saved games. And the Fly Worm is reactivated.
  • Fixed: The Lady BOSS P1 reactivated after loading saved games. And the stair is blocked.
  • Fixed: Some doors in the temple is not locked as expected.
  • Fixed: Statue guards didn't hurt player as expected when get close to them.

Examination Chambers - Reysn


This is the biggest Update for Examination Chambers yet. With Update 1.2 you can enjoy the improved visual quality as well as the added hidden content!



  • Added a Password Input Field to the Menu
  • Added several Easter Eggs to the Menu
  • Added a new game mode/experience that is hard to find and even harder to play through (This is intended; Congratulations to all who discover it or even play through it)
  • Added a Sprinting Effect to give the player more visual feedback
  • Improved the Post Processing Effects to increase visual fidelity
  • Changed the Main Menu to better fit a wider variety of aspect ratios
  • Implemented Developer Commands
  • Implemented some more minor Fixes and Improvements

With the new Password Input Field you are able to enter certain Keywords to trigger corresponding events. For example you can enter "Credits" to instantly unlock the Credits Button in the Menu without finishing the game first. Another example: Type in "Dark" to disable the lights in the menu background. Have fun!

Everything is in place now. The game is ready to be out in less than two weeks.
We can't wait for you to play it, hunt every damn Nazi down and make them pay.
