The pool for Snecko's Identify no longer is fixed and segregated to the Identify system, instead the Unknown cards will be whatever they were in the last combat (only randomly rolled if you haven't hit a combat room since acquiring the Unknown). This means if you get a good roll just before a rest site and want to go lock it in, you can!
Automaton's Replicate now adds a copy of itself to the discard even when added to the function from other means, such as using Bronze Orb.
Automaton's Force Shield now costs 3 (down from 4).

This is just a quick post to notify you that the certificate error with the Launcher/Website has been resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
There were many smaller improvements and developments that happened last week, many of which were not particularly flashy, so I will be talking about one of the bigger ones that happened over the past few weeks instead: switching the system through which we deal with sounds!
Many of you who are playing the currently available version know that we had not included too many sounds yet by the time we uploaded this version. Over the past couple of months, we created a lot of new sounds for nature, buildings, and villagers - and I had managed to at least introduce a few of them into the development build already.
However, we quickly realised two limitations: firstly, adding many sounds to the default Unity audio system came with a lot of bugs and problems, and so a lot of the time spent adding sounds turned into figuring out why the sound wasn’t behaving the way it should. Secondly, and adding to that, we have a long, long list of things that I need to be doing on the game, especially as I had to take on a decent amount of art and world building tasks, which meant that finding time to add sounds (and figuring out their bugs) was becoming increasingly difficult.
As a result, Haakon offered to be working on the sounds directly in Unity. For this, we also wanted to change to a different underlying sound system which Haakon was more familiar with and which was going to give us more options, and we have been working on migrating to this new sound system and getting Haakon set up on the project for a little while now. Of course, this migration came with many problems itself, not all of which are fixed yet, but hopefully this initial pain will be worth it when we can add more sounds much quicker in the future.

HOW TO PLAY: 1) You need to have Who Needs a Hero? game on your Library 2 Right click on Who Needs a Hero? and click on properties 3) Select "BETA" and use the code: 4) Done, now you can install the BETA VERSION.
You need to start a new game and the game ends on lvl 120 (There's a bug after this level that all characters start to appear again)
After this Beta, all your progress will be lost.
Press the "T" key to increase the game speed by 2x. This will help you test faster.
The DLC 18+ is disabled only in the BETA
The game has a few errors that we are already aware of, but these errors will not interfere with the gameplay, don't worry.
KNOWS ISSUES:
After you finish the game, we're facing a save game problem. So you won't be able to start a New Game.
In the coming weeks we will be fixing and improving the game for the official release (APRIL 10).
The beta version will end April 9th

In case you find a serious bug, I will be able to fix it only after day 29, unfortunately my father had an accident yesterday and I need to stay with him in the hospital these days. But I'll try to fix asap <3.
We've been tracking an issue that will cause a Fatal Error, but still allows you to play so long as you don't click the Close Application button on the error. We haven't been able to replicate it, but if you encounter this bug, please let us know what spells and runes you were using, along with any other useful information that happened before the error so that we can try to get this resolved.
