Rebels - Under the Spell of Magic (Chapter 2) - meta.baron
Chapter 2 is finally out ːsteamhappyː
Feel free to check it out. As I have announced already: For the proofreading, only a third of the game has been done and edited to date. The rest is yet to come, hopefully on Friday. I will update the corrections immediately when I receive them.
Until then, please don't be too harsh with the criticism if you find grammatical errors.
Also, for anyone interested, tomorrow I will upload the bundle that includes both of the chapters for a discount.
I hope you're happy with the story and the game. Best wishes to everyone. meta.baron
The Upturned is out now, along with the full soundtrack. I have finished everything (except for the semi-secret bonus levels, which I will roll out in subsequent updates). The story of The Upturned Inn is now complete. It's such a momentous occasion I feel it should crack and rumble like thunder.
It's a game about chaos--that fearful, dark, invincible storm which could reach down and take everything from us even on the brightest day. What can we do when the storm is always lurking over our heads no matter how high we go? The storm, the source of all fear and bravery.
One of the things which I tried to do with The Upturned is to make a horror game that's appealing and energetic, not disgusting and exhausting. What the result is and whether it's really a horror game or something else, you be the judge; if this is not a horror game, I think I would really like to make more non-horror games. Maybe we should all start making non-horror games instead.
Anyway, I can now say The Upturned is the thing which I am most proud of. More and more throughout its development, an anxious, burning question returned to me which asked, "How are you ever going to do something this good again?" And then I realized the answer: that question sucks!

I wanted to take an opportunity to share a few fun tidbits about Knight Bewitched followed by some news for my upcoming title Absinthia.
First, Knight Bewitched is coming up on its 4-year anniversary! Originally released on April 18, 2018, Knight Bewitched was my 2nd official release. As most of you (should) know, I updated Knight Bewitched to the Enhanced Edition in August of last year, completely overhauling the game with new content, features and a much needed dialogue pass.
To date, Knight Bewitched has sold about 5,800 copies on Steam. With Steam key activations, that number goes up to 9,700. Adding in purchases from other sites like Itch.io, Aldorlea.org and the Google Play store, I'm guessing the total number of copies sold rests somewhere around 15,000!
Absinthia
With that out of the way, let's talk about our upcoming title Absinthia! Make sure to stop by the Steam page and wishlist it! The algorithm demands it!
A demo for Absinthia is available and can be downloaded from the game's store page!
A crowdfunding campaign for Absinthia will launch in mid-late April and run through May. If successful, we're looking at a release date of January 2023. Feel free to follow it so you'll be notified when the campaign goes live!
Similar to our campaigns for Celestial Hearts and Knight Bewitched: Enhanced Edition, we're crowdfunding to cover the cost of assets. The artwork is being done by various talented pixel artists, while Jazz Stewart is making a return from the Enhanced Edition for the original soundtrack.
We're looking to raise about $23,000. This is significantly more than our previous campaigns - but with a higher funding goal comes better rewards, such as:
-Digital keys, OST, desktop wallpapers and credits -Digital keys for Knight Bewitched and Celestial Hearts -Early Access -Leaving your own message in an object in-game -Having your own NPC complete with name and dialogue -Designing your own legendary weapon, enemy, boss, or your own quest!
If you have any questions about Knight Bewitched or Absinthia, feel free to ask here or DM me on Twitter.
On March 24, from 07:00 GMT, War Thunder game servers may be unavailable due to the release of the “Wind of Change” major update.
Please wait for Steam to automatically update the game client. We do not recommend manually forcing the update to game.
Due to changes in the game engine (upgrade to Dagor Engine 6.5), the game requires a download of more data than during standard updates. We are sorry for inconvenience.
