Harvest Hero Origins - Gemdrop Games
Hey everyone, we're extremely excited to bring this brand new content to Harvest Hero Origins. We've got a new hero, new enemies, new powerups, and a new map variant available, starting today!

New Hero: Blue


We've collaborated with Pixadome, the developers behind Chenso Club, to bring Blue to Harvest Hero Origins! Chenso Club is a side-scrolling platform brawler where combos are king, so I wanted to make sure we captured that in Blue's attack.

  • Attack - Swing your chainsaw in a wide arc
  • Blessing 1 - Combo Piece: Tap attack quickly to follow up with a second quick swing
  • Blessing 2 - Combo Piece: Tap attack quickly once more to ride your chainsaw running over any enemies in your path

Blue wields a chainsaw that she swings back and forth to deal quick damage, and is able to ride for a short period of time damaging all enemies in her path. Be careful though, because you'll overheat and have to restart your chainsaw!



New Enemies
Grooble Roller
The grooble roller rolls, as one might expect. However, it seems to roll in zigzagging patterns which is quite strange.


Grooble Digger
The grooble digger is a crafty grooble, capable of traveling underground, only popping up when it needs air. Don't touch it or the dirt its tossing up or you'll get hurt!


New Power-ups
Comet
Gain control of a massive comet disintegrating everything it touches!


Emerald Shield
Blessed by the Tortoise, you become invulnerable to damage!


Patch Notes
Zack
Wishlist Zack's origin game Cricket here

  • Can now press "Attack" while lunging to cancel your lunge. This provides Zack with a more technical approach to moving and damaging. When canceling your lunge, you'll deal an additional damage at the stopping point.

General
  • New: Leaderboard now supports scrolling up and down
  • New: A music track player has been added to Survival mode, so you can select which song you'd like to play along to.
  • Rename "Boxing Hero" -> "Zack". I felt it's better representation for Zack and Cricket to not dub over the name.
  • Bug Fix: Maximum "delta" time is set to 1/60th of a second to prevent large frame skips
  • Clone Nerf: Maximum of 5 clones at once
Vibrant Venture - Pattrigue
Hey gamers!
The next update for Vibrant Venture, Alpha 7, is coming out next week on March 26th!

The update will feature a tough but fun level with a special surprise at the end. Jurl and I have put a lot of effort into designing the level, and we can't wait to share it with you guys! There are also a ton of other new features and tweaks, like a major improvement to controller support.

When the update comes out, I will post an update on Steam featuring a devlog where I show you guys the new features and changes we've been working on. Check out this quick update video in which Jurl briefly talks about what to expect:

We're very excited to bring you the BRAND NEW TRAILER for our upcoming map, The Town. This time, we're going West!



The Town will release on March 24th, 2022 at 10am PST. As with our previous maps, The Town will be available for free to anyone who already owns DEVOUR. We'll release more info on some exciting new upcoming skins, perks, outfits and game fixes upon release.

Saddle up and get your posse together.. It's almost time.



Developing new maps is an intense process, and we're hard at work getting The Town ready for release. As a small team, we really appreciate all the positive support and feedback from our amazing community. We can't wait for you to jump in and face off against Sam!

Three Finger Battle Arena - Jmaltby
Hi everyone,

This week's update is a text chat that can be toggled using T, which is something people have wanted since the game was launched. Right now the chat is pretty basic and will be built on as the game develops, also I know a lot of you want voice chat and that's something I'm considering for a future update. There are a few things you should know before you start using the text chat.

Firstly, you can disable the chat completely and disable the transparent text that appears when a new message is sent, in the options menu and the pause menu.

Secondly, there are only two commands right now, the first is /mute, and the second is /unmute. To mute someone you type /mute and then the 4 digit number next to the person's name. For example /mute 9721, then to unmute them /unmute 9721.

Finally, if you experience any bugs with the chat please let me know on the community hub, or in the discord.

Also, I added a setting to invert the Y-axis if you're using a mouse and fixed some small bugs, but there were no major fixes this time, unfortunately.

This is a teeny beta patch fixing a few things that were broken in v2.2.3 and added a few new things in.

Patch Notes
  • Interaction pop-ups are no longer blank for keyboards
  • Incendium will work once again
  • Fixed a bug that would clear falling lateral friction and breaking deceleration after flying or dashing
  • Dash has been overhauled to have better aiming, smoother movement, and better animations
  • Added a Toggle Flight hotkey

Wormventures - Barrier 51 - Basement Society
Hi there, Marcus here. This time I like to re-post an article from my development blog from December 2020 to show some of the characters from the game:

The last 10 or so days I was busy creating characters for the game. Until then there were only 9 out of a total of around 50 characters ready. In most scenes there were dummy objects, mostly cylinders, that you could talk to. Now, the total worm count in the game is at 23, which means that almost half of the characters are done. And even though some of them are not final it is very motivating to have real characters in the game now that look, smile and laugh at you.



If I had to animate and create blend shapes for facial expressions for every single worm I wouldn’t be able to do it, but all animations I create for Looky are useable by any other character. A list of facial blend shapes like phonemes (for lip synching) and expressions are also available for all new characters. I only have to create those that are unique for a character.

In addition I recently bought a new asset pack from the Unity Asset Store that has 100 hats available game ready. I already used some of them for the new characters like the police officer and the Cannibal Chef and I tried to let Looky wear a christmas hat which makes him look quite festive:

This game is my first work and there are a lot of issues to solve.
Since its release, it has been patched almost in real time.
So it's hard to write them down every single time.
I fully understand your confusion about this.

For large-scale patches that significantly add content to the game,
