➤ I created some cool Will You Snail themed Steam profile pictures for you. Check them out in profile / edit profile / avatar.
➤ Reworked save / load system for better stability and redundancy. The already super rare save file wipes should be even rarer if not impossible now. Also remember that if you accidentally delete your save file in the save file selection, it's never truly deleted. You can always recover it from the save file directory on your PC.
➤ Reworked the look of conveyor belts to make it easier to see which direction they're currently moving in.
➤ Updated text translations. Various small improvements and additions for many languages.
➤ Images in the secret presentation room are automatically scaled to the correct size so you don't need to resize them manually anymore.
➤ If there happens to be a loading delay for any of the voice lines, the subtitle should no longer show up way too early.
➤ Removed two soft-locks where players could get stuck. One in the disco boss fight and one in a basketball level where the player could end up in a hole to high to jump out of.
For Modding:
➤ I added a new branch that was not complied using YYC. You can reach it by right clicking on the game in your library / properties / betas / select "sandbox" branch. This version should be easier to decompile and modify. This branch might also help with stability in some cases if you're one of the few people struggling with game crashes. Curious to see what you create! :)
➤ I made a tutorial on how to recreate Squid's voice effect for those of you who are interested in making an audio language mod. :)
➤ Remember to check out the existing modding guides here.
Up next:
For the next patches I plan to tackle more of your feedback to keep improving the experience, so keep it coming! Once the game is in a state we're all happy with, we can start thinking about adding more content. Join us on Discord to stay up to date with the development and to participate in some fun community events! :)
Thanks so much for all the support! Snail on! Jonas
We go on talking about the destiny of Redemption’s characters. Last week we told you about Eik’s life, and today we’re going to share King Ho’s story.
The future prince had been prepared to reign since childhood. But life in the palace never seemed appealing to Ho. The future throne seemed like a heavy chain on his neck, and endless bows, receptions, shallow intrigues—all that Jerana’s aristocracy lived for—gave him only feelings of hatred and repulsion. His only consolation was lessons of martial arts that the boy was taught on the demand of his father, crown prince Trig.
Training was easy for the prince, and he became proficient in fencing and shooting. But it was dagger throwing where Ho showed his real talent. Not only did he use them perfectly in melee combat, but he also threw them with such accuracy that his teachers advised Trig to continue his son’s education in a different place.
Ho admired this idea. He was pretty tired of the special treatment he got in the palace, and he asked his father to send him to an archer’s company in Albus, in the kingdom Odala—as far as possible from Jerana where every dog knew who he was. Trig didn’t stop his headstrong son and agreed with the burgomaster of Albus about the transfer. But he insisted that young bodyguard Sop would accompany his son. At first, Ho was unhappy with his father’s decision, but he changed his opinion fast, when the young warrior became his friend.
That’s how the young prince got to Albus. Hiding his background, he changed his name and started calling himself Hoda. But it was much harder to get rid of the manners, giving out his noble roots. Even trying to keep as friendly as he could in the company of fellow fighters, joking on himself and on the others, Hoda didn’t become a close friend to anyone—apart from Sop, of course.
However, the young prince enjoyed his life as an archer and quietness far from Jerana’s palace. But this peaceful time came to an end, when the Reaping started.
Hoda joins the group of a resigned captain Thorn Brening and leaves Albus, devoured with disease. He heads to Ursus, where his grandfather, the king of Jerana lives at the moment. But the group gets caught in an ambush, and Hoda gets a bad injury. Blance, who turns out to be near, saves the young man, but at the same time the old king dies from a heart attack.
The throne passes to Trig, who finds out about the sad events in Albus and tries to look for his son. The father and the son meet in Opakum—but Sop, who is charmed by the reaper, murders the king.
Hoda is destroyed by grief. His family is dead, his only close friend is the victim of evil charms, and his duty makes him do the thing he was trying to escape so hard — to put on the crown and ascend to the throne.
When Ho buried his father and Sop, he got down to business—confidently, harshly and cleverly. Like a monarch. The previous young guy with a disdainful and impudent smile stayed in some other life.
When the war ended, Berkana was in ruins. Dozens of destroyed towns, hundreds of burnt villages, thousands of people left without home, unplanted fields were a threat of hunger and death. There were hard years ahead.
The new king started to restore Berkana. The first thing he sacrificed was the luxury of the palace. He collected all the decorations and changed them for grain in Vandilia. He ordered to give the grain to people and that’s how he gained their sincere love. The people appreciated their unpretentious, ascetic monarch who preferred simple and convenient clothes to embroidered camisoles and royal gowns.
But there were some things which the king didn’t manage to do. As Ho concentrated on restoring the country and getting common people back to normal life, he couldn’t prepare to a new threat.
In spite the king understood perfectly that the new war with Frisia was inevitable, he still hoped to get more time. But his calculations were wrong. And now he and Berkana have to face a new challenge. Luckily, there are true people like Eik near him, who are ready to give life for the country’s well-being.
The story of king Ho goes on, and it depends on the main character of The Way Finn only how it is going to end.
Download the demo-version, meet changed Eik and king Ho and share your impressions in comments. And also follow us and add our game to your wishlist.

In today's blog, we're going to talk briefly about infantry in Ancient Egypt, along with showing you some of the warriors in Builders of Egypt! Are you excited the same as we are? ;)
Let's start by saying that the Egyptian military consisted of three major branches: the infantry, the chariotry, and the navy. The Egyptians had no cavalry in the modern sense of the word, although the horses had been introduced into Egypt by the Hyksos along with chariots, which often played a major role in supporting and clearing the way for the infantry to charge. As a matter of fact, the chariotry was very effective in breaking the ranks of the enemy.
Furthermore, Egyptians classified their regiments according to the arms they carried - they had Archers, Spearmen, and Lancers. As you can see in the screenshot below, all of the warriors standing in front of the in-game Fort are also supplied with large leather-covered shields and axes. Each regiment in Builders of Egypt has also a standard - a pole with the symbol of warriors and archers. Historically, the tradition of using standards probably arose in the times of tribes as so-called tribal fetishes, which at that time were reverenced as religious symbols, afterwards they were adopted as a military badge of the specific nome.
The infantry was by far the greatest body of the ancient Egyptian army.
Hope you enjoyed our latest blog! Looking forward to your thoughts about today's short introduction! Feel free to share them with us in the comments below, at Discord, or on Reddit! You can find more about soldiers in general in our previous blogs.
Stay tuned and see you next week Egyptian Builders!
About 4 weeks ago and shortly after the natural disasters update, a small number of players started to report encounters with a kraken-like creature. Sometimes the claims lacked any evidence, other times there were dark screenshots in foggy storms suggesting something that could be huge tentacles.
Some stormworkers chose to believe the beast could be out there somewhere, but most dismissed the creature as a hoax, vehicle creation, modded xml or modded mesh.
And, for the next 4 weeks, the legend of the kraken lived on as only a myth. This was except for a small number of players, who remembered the megladon was released in secret, and were determined to search the oceans and prove that the kraken was real and was out there somewhere.
And finally, they have succeeded, while creating vehicles, and info to help others also search for the kraken. Several youtubers have released videos over the last few days with this new info, proving the kraken is real.
The kraken is a physics based squid-like sea creature which uses its tentacles to swim around the ocean, attack and wrap around player vehicles. It is a very unique approach to creating a kraken, and we are not aware of any other game where the creature is a complete physics based animal rather than more of an event or tenticles and mouth anchored to the sea floor.
What Are The Spawning Conditions For The Kraken?
The kraken only spawns in strong weather, at night, in deep water. The ocean must be atleast 150m deep, the sun must have set, the fog must be atleast 25%, and rain atleast 50%. The "Enable Megladon" setting must also be ticked in the creative menu.
These conditions may change in the future, and we may add a "spawn kraken" button to the creative menu in the future too.
The kraken has been huge fun to develop and test in Stormworks. We have had a lot of fun so far playing with, trying to survive, and battling it. Releasing as an easter egg and watching players react has also been awesome fun!
Development continues as normal, with a feature based minor update coming next week, and several more minor and major updates continuing development.
We look forward to your thoughts and feedback on this new creature of the sea!
We have a lot of new features, improvements and fixes in our latest Update 1.2. Take a look…
Jelly Color Breeding & Mixing
We have added in another 32 colours for our Jellies totaling a number of 64 colors!
Jelly colors will now combine if you breed different color jellies. Use Smooch Blooms to make two jellies fall in love and watch the color mixing unfold.
Also, each Jelly now will poop their retrospective colored jelly beans. So if you see some colored beans in the wild you might find a color you haven’t caught yet 👀
Item Delivery Improvements
We have updated the Item Delivery schedule. You now have the whole season to complete all 4 deliveries at your own pace.
Once you complete an item delivery you can collect the reward and the following delivery item list will be available.
If you complete all 4 Item Deliveries for that season, Gabby will reward you with a Unique Item… 👀 Don’t worry if you have completed all 4 shipments for previous seasons before updating. You will be rewarded with the new Unique Items for those season(s) when you continue your save.
Wild Jelly Info
The first trait of a Wild Jelly will always appear when you charm them. It’s also possible to see the other traits and stats of a Jelly before you catch them. But you’ll need a Jelly with a certain trait in your backpack for that… 🙃

Added Jelly color mixing when breeding jellies
Added an emote for Morning, Afternoon and Evening meal time
