Totally Working Game - victorzvyagin
Once again, welcome dear TWG players, fans (and haters) - the Totally Working Game has had a few schedule changes - due to some setbacks in life and with my PC, the final game's release date is now expected later on in 2022. In the meanwhile, understandably, please feel free to release your frustration upon the digital version of the gamedev in TWG.... *Sigh* Again.

Enough with confessions, let's see what new torture ways TWG patch has brought us:

    Level 3 Upgrades!
  • The level 3 of Fist- now, upon reaching level 3 of Fist, not just Fists but Feet will also cause extra Suffering for the dev, once the heavenly Fist retreats..... well, into Heavens 0_o
  • The level 3 of Bonus- from level 3 and upwards of Bonus you get the extra meter, that builds up as the numbers of other types of Suffering (physical- black, yellow- flame and blood- red) disappear from sight. Once the 10 numbers disappear from torture room- their sum will get added as sweet Bonus. Yep. I know.
  • The level 3 of Flame- you can now from level 3 of Flame and onwards get the Giant fireball launched downwards randomly, causing flame suffering.
  • The level 3 of Spikes(yay)- now allows you to have auto-aiming Spikes, that (hopefully?) head for their target, i.e. the Body of the Developer.

So far- I really enjoyed working on the project, and reading your reviews - I wanted to say thank you (to those who write them- both Positive and Not so much) for your feedback, I try to implement as much as I can, and hopefully in the near future such feature as special mode might be introduced ^_^ (Think sandbox mode).

Oculus Support
I finally got myself a Quest 2, I can now test my games on the Oculus. There's still perhaps some polishing I want to do for both the Oculus and Vive but things are progressing nicely.

Fixes
  • Fixed a bug that would cause a drone to spawn before round start in the shooter mini game
  • Fixed teleportation on Oculus and (probably) on the Valve Index... Still don't have an Index ːsteamsadː
  • Fixed a bug that would slow down the walk speed if the player looked straight up or down

Thank you everyone for sticking around! It's been a lot of fun so far working on this project. Hopefully I can finish this off before the end of the year.

After 1.5 years of development, our big company (represented by me alone) is finally happy to present this game to you! We would like to say thanks to all those who supported us and participated in testing or spreading information about the game!

SOME HISTORY

The first prototype of the game was created as much as 2.5 years ago (time flies, huh). I was working on this after work in parallel with the study of the UNREAL ENGINE. I am proud to say that the whole game was created by me from scratch exactly as it was imagined. This is a very rare phenomenon in the gaming industry.



BUGS MUST GO ON

Despite several months of effort, there are still a lot of bugs in the game that are very difficult to eliminate. Our dev team made it a priority to make the game playable, leaving secondary tasks for later. For example, at release, the save system is still unstable, so the purchased cosmetics may not be saved until the next game launch. Unfortunately, the purchased hats won't be saved either, but they remain on the character the next time the game starts.



There was no way to test STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS, but in theory they should work.
Let's hope that after some updates the game will be at excellent condition!
Please take this into account and do not rush to write a negative review, wait for a couple of patches!

SLAYING TOGETHER



One of the key features of the game was playing together on the same PC or via STEAM REMOTE PLAY. Unfortunately, the second option means a significant lag for the second player, so we made the second character shoot faster and have most combat abilities by default, also because there is no way for him to use the mouse. Nevertheless, playtests have shown that co-op mode is fun enough to use!

DIFFICULTY LEVELS

The game is designed as a serious test of the player's skills. Even the GAME JOURNALIST level requires some reflexes and reaction! NORMAL difficulty is essentially HARD, and the developer himself can hardly deal with VERY NORMAL! But at the same time, we did our best to eliminate unfair situations and making sure that every death is a consequence of the player's actions with the possibility of getting better!
