Hello Ranchers,

Welcome to The Ranchers first dev-update!

First of all I want to deeply thank you all for all the love and support we did get from this great community! Things went really fast and in an incredible way since we first announced The Ranchers trailer!

Today, We are more than 3 000 members on Discord! and The Ranchers is hiting new wishlists record everyday! Thank you again for all your support!

Without further ado lets start by presenting our first batch of bachelors:

Character Reveals



Meet Chris, Nina, Pablo and Eva (left to right)!



Chris is an eligible bachelor, he runs "The Aliens" bar, one of the best places to relax, have a drink, listen to some music and meet new people in the Ranchers Country city center.



Nina lives her bachelorette life with her father and 2 brothers. She spends most of her time in her pastry shop, trying out new recipes!




Pablo came from far lands to start his Ranchers dream. Today, he is one of the most respected and wealthiest businessman in Ranchers Country. He is also eligible bachelor.



Eva is a good candidate to marry and well known fashionista in The Ranchers country. She runs one of the best (and most expensive) hairdressing salon in the city center.

HUD UI
We're excited to reveal The Ranchers HUD game UI. We did our best to keep it clean and non intrusive while it continues giving you all the required information.

Of course the HUD UI will change depending on what item you have equipped in your hands (showing how much water available in your water can...) or what are you doing in the game. Here is an example of how it looks with you are driving your delivery vehicle:

Camera Movements

In The Ranchers, the camera can move 360° around your character. You can also zoom-in and zoom-out at any time to have a better understanding of your environment.



iPear: Your in-game Smartphone
You can access all the game menus (Craft blueprints, Quests, Game Settings...) and other Apps via your in-game smartphone gracefully provided by iPear INC. Here is a quick presentation of iPear UI and all the available Apps so far:



Bykii: Need a ride? rent a bike!
Bykii is the official transportation company in The Ranchers world. Among other transportation services, Bykii do have a lot of bike renting stations spread in The Ranchers open world to let you move fast, anywhere (and workout your muscles mass).

Next Dev-Update we will be talking about the systemic engine and how all items and decors in The Ranchers world are affected by the weather and your behaviour and how you can turn that in your advantage ;)

Stolen Realm - JJ
Greetings, heroes of the Realm! We’re releasing a patch today that brings several important new features to the game – features that we believe will have a profound impact on your tactical battles. This patch implements destructible barrels and movable crates, which will be spawned randomly throughout battle maps, making the positioning of your heroes (and enemy troops) more important than ever.

Up until now, battle maps were essentially open fields; from this patch on you’ll have to think carefully about how you position your heroes and where you send them, because you can find yourself quickly isolated from your allies if you make a mistake… but on the other hand, you can use these terrain features to your advantage, pinning your enemies down, attacking them from the safety or your cover, or forcing them into obstacles to split their party. We hope you enjoy the new depth that this feature will bring to your battles!

You can destroy these barrels to clear the way – but beware their area effects! Ice barrels slow everyone down around them when they explode. Fire barrels go in huge blasts, causing raw damage. Smoke barrels, on the other hand, increase dodge chance on the ground for 3 turns. You can use these explosions to your advantage – but so can your enemy! And crates can be moved around the battlefield, giving you the ability to redefine your environment to improve your position.

That’s not all, of course – this patch also implements a new feature we’ve called Enemy Modifications. Essentially, enemies can now have random modifiers that alter them in various ways, from regeneration to increased movement speed and even explosion on death. This makes each enemy unique, and thus, each battle different from the rest.

While these are the two main new features, this patch also brings a lot of balancing changes, tweaks to the skills system, and quality-of-life additions, as well as squashing a good number of bugs. General Changes
  • Destructible barrels and crates are now spawned randomly throughout battle maps
  • Enemies can now have modifiers that alter them in various ways (Regeneration, Explosion on Death, Movement Speed, etc.)
  • Increased size of text on tooltips
  • It is now much rarer to get legendary and mythic items while gambling
  • Vitality now grants +1% Max Health per point
  • Health per level decreased from 20 to 15
  • Intelligence now grants +1% Max Mana per point
  • Mana per level decreased from 20 to 15
  • Bonuses to Healing Received now affect life steal and health regen
  • Changed Dwarven totem to now grant 15% stun chance on hits

Features
  • Ping functionality in battle to mark specific spots you want to show your allies

Skill Changes
  • Fireblast damage increased from 100% to 130%.
  • Dazzling Darts damage increased by 30% each dart to 40% each dart.
  • Chilling Strike damage increased from 120% to 150%.
  • Frost Shard damage increased from 90% to 130%.
  • Dagger Throw (Deadly, Poisoned) damage increased from 65% to 100%.
  • Cripple damage reduced from 140% to 70%. Changed from Action to Free Action. Mana cost reduced.
  • Maim damage reduced from 160% to 100%. Changed from Action to Free Action. Mana cost reduced.
  • Gouge damage reduced from 160% to 100%. Changed from Action to Free Action. Mana cost reduced.
  • Bleed stacks now reduce physical resistance by 3% per stack. Damage of bleed reduced by 20%.
  • Poison stacks now reduce all healing taken by 1% per stack.
  • Seal of Protection changed from 10% all resistances to 10% reduced damage taken.
  • Changed Avatar of Flame to now apply damage over time for each stack of heat you've applied.
  • Slam, Stunning Slam, Crushing Slam changed to a line spell 3 hexes wide 5 hexes long. This change was made to give warrior a way to interact with the new destructible mechanic.
  • Light's Beckon target range increased from 10 to 15, teleport to caster range increased from 1 to 3.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed issue with Ambush I & II not working as intended
  • Fixed issue where Steal Action was affected by range adding mods
  • Fixed issue where you sometimes were unable to see health bars
  • Fixed issue where characters would sometimes keep ground effect statuses after they expire
  • Fixed issue where you could sometimes still receive healing with Child of the Abyss
  • Fixed issue with Shadow Walk not working correctly
  • Fixed issue where skills like Mass Freeze, Frozen Earth, and Burning Ground would have sound effects that acost your ears
  • Fixed issue that caused Ghost Armor to block status effects without being expended
  • Fixed issue that would sometimes caused enemies to attack their allies
  • Fixed issue where Glory would make you untargetable while active
  • Fixed issue where EnGarde could trigger on allies
  • Fixed issue where Break the Ice was marked as a negative status
  • Fixed issue where Rune of Exploding wouldn't consume Overwhelming Power and Break the Ice
  • Fixed issue where you could leech from yourself using Leech Might/Dexterity/Intelligence using skills like Bloodlet
  • Fixed issue where Evasion status would show as Enduring Evasion
  • Fixed issue where a character could dodge a Rune of Exploding before its activated when placed on their hex
Dungeon Runner XZ - Kami No Goku
Hi Runners,

Finally, the release of the revamped Dungeon Runner XZ is around the corner this Thursday EU Time 18:00 we will release the long-awaited Revampt of the game this will fix all of the big problems that most people had in-game. This will also bring a new life to the game with new great mechanics added to the game to make the progression more fun to playthrough we're working hard on fixing the last bugs and playtesting it for release so soon you can start playing yourself.

What will be new to the game:
First: A Guild system in the start of the game you will start with a small sky castle and you will need to grind and upgrade this castle to make it bigger and increase your power in the world for better items and gear.
Second: This will also add new classes and new ways to class change in-game.
Third: Armor and weapon will now drop in dungeons and fields and crafting is much better.
Fourth: Every 2 weeks we will add events and these events will have special armor and weapon to get or even better rewards to boost your stats.

And much more that you can find out while playing the game. So I hope you all are excited!

And there will be a great change in the DLC packs the Deluxe Edition of the game will get a special deluxe Armor set and weapon set for the main Char. And a package that holds an XP boost next to the XP boost ring so don't miss the discount that's going on this week only to get the package off-price before the release of the revamp.

Raging Ball - Mugule
👁️ Raging Ball and his public :

It has been exposed 405 887 times (picture was loaded on Steam) ! 80 % of them clicked on it. Among them, 7 951 added Raging Ball to their library (probably thanks to this incredible trailer). Only 1 002 people really downloaded the game ("add-to-library-but-not-play" syndrom).

⌛ Raging Ball lifline :

For 1 001 players (without me) :

  • 680 tourists > less than 10 minutes. It can be explained by the non WASD support... Or the ugly main menu...
  • 190 haters > 10 minutes. Maybe the double-jump level, the first step of frustation.
  • 50 adventurers > 30 minutes. You can explain it because some players arrived to the nightmare level (Chapter 1 level 9) or, for the bests, just start the bumper chapters.
  • 40 reckless > 1 hour. I hope they didn't suffer in vain and they passed the game. Well played !
  • 41 masochistics cried all the blood of their body for more than 2 hours. They heard the little notes at every fall. They just put this little ball in every corners on every levels. They probably screamed. I think about you guys sometimes. Bravo.

🎨 The future :

After this quick and chaotic development, I decided to try again this experiment. Hopefully I will bring you a better product. I'm working on a coop adventure game. Meanwhile, don't hesitate to beat the RagingBall speedrun within 7'30 min : http://for the brave .
