The last month of winter is here, and we‘re not going to let it end without some action! Get ready, because we’ve prepared a huge pack of special combat missions for you to complete and earn helpful rewards during the Steam Winter Front event. From February 14 through March 7, you will have a chance to grab gold, credits, days of WoT Premium Account, Personal Reserves, and a 2D style.

The Warm-Up Phase

Before the event itself begins on February 14, you will be able to complete some special daily missions dedicated to our Steam Publisher Weekend event and earn helpful rewards such as days of WoT Premium Account. These missions will be available from February 11 at 06:00 UTC, and can be completed once a day.

The missions will reset at 06:00 UTC up until February 14, when the main phase of the event starts.

Main Event Phase: General Information

Starting from February 14 at 06:00 UTC, three special Steam Winter Front missions will appear in your Missions section in the game: a daily mission, a weekly mission, and the Final Event mission. Let’s look at all those missions in more detail.
  • Daily missions can be completed once a day. They reset every day at 06:00 UTC throughout the event. Completion grants you useful rewards, as well as one Daily Mission Token that you will need to complete a weekly mission.
  • Weekly missions can be completed once a week. They reset each Monday at 06:00 UTC throughout the event, meaning that you have seven full days to complete each one. If you aren’t able to finish the weekly mission in time, you will not get the rewards, as the mission will reset.

    To successfully finish the weekly mission, you need to collect four Daily Mission Tokens and play one battle in any tank. Completion grants you better rewards, such as gold, days of WoT Premium Account, and one Weekly Mission Token that you will need to complete the Final Event mission.
  • The Final Event mission can be completed only once during the event. To successfully finish this mission, you need to collect three Weekly Mission Tokens and play one battle in any tank. Completion grants you the final and best reward of the Steam Winter Front event.
To sum up, in order to receive the final prize of the event, you need to complete at least four daily missions during each of the three event weeks, which will allow you to complete all three weekly missions and obtain the main reward: 1 Universal Crew Book (250,000 XP for every crew member), 1 Flora 2D style, and a handful of Personal Reserves.

NOTE: Simply collecting the required number of Tokens is not enough to progress in the event. After you’ve collected the required number of Tokens, you must play at least one battle in any vehicle to successfully finish the mission (the battle results don’t matter).
So, even though the winter holidays have passed and the grand celebrations are quieting down, the last month of winter still holds a bunch of surprises for you! It’s a great time to play the game and enjoy the special missions and rewards. Complete missions, earn Event Tokens, and progress towards the main prize—all while simply playing the game.

Early Access
Originally, the game was planned to release in Q1 2022 into Early Access. The game is primarily a (way too huge) hobby project rather than a funded development by a studio, so I decided to skip this early access phase and rather have regular playtests with you guys. Also, my goal is to create an awesome game, rather than to release it ASAP in an unfinished state.

There could still be an early access phase at a later stage, but just to add new content and make the game even more polished.

AI companions
Multiplayer is a core feature of Tidewoken, but some players might want to enjoy the experience alone.
I received a lot of positive feedback about the Companion Knight, a player-controlled character with unique skills, but this still leaves the player with only 2 characters versus the dungeon.



I decided to add AI-controlled companions as well, which can be recruited at the start of each dungeon.
First, there will be one companion per class, but I'll add more with unique builds in the future.
These companions can also show you cool skills you haven't tried yet!



In addition to those AI companions, players will also be able to bring a second character into the dungeon. If you bring a second character, it replaces the Companion Knight. I still have to figure a few things out, like how it works with 3 players, but I think it will be a great addition to the game.

Season X: Highlanders is not yet over, but you can find out about the rewards for Houses, Alliances, and individual players based on performance and achievements ahead of time!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE END OF SEASON X
From the end of scheduled maintenance on March 3, Season X: Highlanders will officially be over. Until the next season starts, Glory will no longer be issued as a reward for participating in matchmaking battles, including Expeditions and Free Battles, Territory War battles, or general levelling. However, in line with previous seasons, Glory can still be earned from Weekly Challenges, Royal Thistle, and Noble Thistle. The Seasonal Store will also remain accessible in its current configuration until a new season begins.

After the Campaign Results have been tallied, Territory Wars will run as Drill Wars until the start of Season XI, with the exception of March 1 (where Territory Wars will be replaced with Free Battles). Neither Reginopolis, Augolia, nor Turul Város can be conquered during this time, and any Fiefs captured will not count towards Triumph rewards.
