Open World: We have made a new world for you to explore! There will be Bub's all over the map with missions and wildlife to discover! (Select the OPEN WORLD gamemode in the story section to begin exploring!)
Missions: All over the map there are bubs that have something to say, walk up to them and they'll give you a mission! (If the bub has a sword in hand RUN).
Chests: Chests contain a code that can be put into the customization menu. Once opened, make sure to have something to write the codes down! Codes disappear after 30 seconds. Chests switch locations and items every week.
New Bubs: At spawn there will be Bubs offering you missions, read what they say and search for what they requested!
Fall Damage: We fixed up fall damage so you don't go through traumatic injury's from jumping over a shoe.
CHARACTER CUSTIMIZATION: Select from 20 + characters all with a different perks! (New characters added every update).
As we head closer towards releasing Project Absentia, we've been doing quite a bit of work behind the scenes.
We listened to a ton of feedback on Abby's VA.
While many of us at WIS liked Sins' performance, we realized for many people she was not the vast majority's cup of tea.
So we decided to go with another VA due to the mixed response. This was not an easy decision, and not any of those on the team's first choice of action.
On the advice of Jake the Voice, who voices Dr. Atmosphere, he suggested his friend and colleague - Mikell Dover - as a potential VA for Abby.
We ended up going with her! Her lines are live and playable in the demo as of the writing of this project.
We've also been retooling the writing to be a bit more smart, while still having the right amount of edge. For now we've gotten rid of the cutscenes as we strive to perfect those.
We appreciate Sin's contributions to WIS and we're keeping her on in a beta testing and possibly for promo graphics design in the future.
Project Absentia's demo has some features being backported from the devbranch including the following:
Select renderer on launch You can select the Vulkan, OpenGL, or GLES (experimental and limited) renderers. Depending on your graphics card you might need to use a different renderer.
Bugfixes to the levels, both functionality and geometry-wise.
Overhaul one-liner system to be more consistent with the cooldown.
Replaced many textures from SHDX/earlier builds of PA that were based on OTEX/Doom.
Pool table in E1M1 works better. (This is an important feature)
I have created an Intro Guide to walk new players through the basics of the game as well as reveal many of its secrets! Don't worry though, the first few sections are spoiler-free and there is a big gap before the spoilers start to ensure you don't accidentally see anything you shouldn't!

[desktop/vr] ADDED - Added a player action (Lie Down) with two new sex positions, facesitting and dragon cowgirl / riding. This action is available whenever you're not currently interacting with an object or in a sex position. - Added a belly rig for riding your dragon friend from the underside. You can find it in the stable, on the workbench near the sofa, and it can be equipped/unequipped in the same way as the saddle. While belly riding, Kade will walk on a loop around the farm - you can use commands to determine how fast they walk. This activity currently only has a few positions and requires your dragon friend to have a dick, and will be expanded on more in the future. - Added localization support for Russian and Japanese.
CHANGED - Adjusted some handling for Kade's movement, so they align with slopes better instead of always being upright, to prevent clipping/floating issues with their feet. - You can now do the doggystyle position anywhere in the world, instead of only on the rug in the stable. Open the player action menu (desktop: Tab by default, vr: A/X/touchpad click on either hand) and select the "Doggystyle" option. Along with this, the rug in the stable is no longer an interactable object. - Kade's "Active AI" mode will no longer select the Stop action during sex scenes - they will now only exit sex positions when the Exit Position command is available.
FIXED - Added font support for some missing characters. - Fixed an occasional error that could occur when changing selections on a radial menu.
[desktop] FIXED - Fixed a bug where interacting with the boulders around the map to sit down was causing animation errors for the player model.
[vr] ADDED - The new belly rig can be equipped in the same way as the saddle (holding it over Kade's back), though both cannot be equipped at the same time. Once equipped, hold one of your hands down in the straps below their belly, and the radial for selecting which position to ride in will appear. Use the Command Menu to select how fast Kade moves, and the Player Action menu to Dismount and exit the position.
FIXED - Fixed some issues with the player's capsule in VR, which was making it difficult to step up onto the bed in the stable and was making the floor of the play area not correctly line up with the floor in-game.
